Did King Tutankhamun die simply of a sickness or in battle, or was he murdered? There are many things to prove that Horemheb, the military general, killed him to make himself the king. Horemheb erased Tut’s name from multiple documents and took credit for everything he did during his rule. Many people did whatever it took to be king in Egypt. Aye forced Ankhesenamun to marry him after Tut died, making him king. In the letter Ankhesenamun wrote to the Hittite King, she implies that she is being forced to marry a servant. Aye was the Chief Advisor, so he could be the servant that she was talking about. Ankhesenamun did end up marrying Aye, but she wrote that she did not want to marry a servant.

Horemheb married Aye’s original wife, Tey. By marrying her, Horemheb became the king. Tey and Horemheb planned to kill Aye from the start. There isn't a specific reason why Aye died, so he was probably murdered. Horemheb erased Aye’s name like he did with Tut’s, and took credit for Aye’s reign. Horemheb and Tey always planned to kill King Tut, Aye, and Ankhesenamun and becoming king and queen together. Tey would want Ankhesenamun dead because she married Tey’s husband. Horemheb also made it seem like Aye, Tut, and Akhenaten were never king, by erasing their names and taking credit for everything that they did. Someone people might believe that King Tut simply died of a disease or a sickness. That is not true though. Tut had a blow to the back of his head that would cause a blood clot. It could have made him unconscious or in a coma. He also had a very bad break just above his left kneecap. These both could easily cause death. Horemheb killed King Tut and Aye to make himself king. Tut’s tomb was not prepared for him, meaning he died suddenly. This unexpected death could very well be murder. Horemheb killed Tut, Aye was made king by marrying Ankhesenamun, and Horemheb and Tey married each other, all according to
Horemheb waited a little bit longer and then killed Ay, leaving him to be king. Horemheb erased Akhenaten, Tut, and Ay from the list of pharaohs. He was obviously had personal reasons to kill the two
...rown, and in particularly gold. The gold color was used thoroughly, but due to ageing, it seemed to have changed shades and turned into brownish color (Freeman 321-2). An example of that could be illustrated by the face, which has a golden touch to it but is seen to be roughly all turning brown. These decorative features were also seen on other mummy coffins, such as on the coffin of Tutankhamun, found on the Valley of the Kings in Dynasty 18 (Stockstad 120-2). Tutankhamun’s case also demonstrated similar golden tones being used, which as a result of aging varnished and fainted in some areas to a darker golden- brownish and yellowish shade (Stockstad 123,125).
King Tut was born during the Golden Age in Egypt. He was thought to be originally named Tutankhaten which means “living image of the Aten.” It is also believed that he is the grandson of Amenhotep the third, the ninth king of Egypt. When he was young he was cared for by a woman named Maya. At the age of five the powerful Akhenatan died. Soon after that would start the rein of King Tut to lead Egypt. (Hawass 29-56)
King Tut was an Egyptian pharaoh of the 18th dynasty who reigned from about 1348 to 1339 BC. His name can be spelled a variety of ways including Tutankhamen, Tutankhamon, or Tutankhamun. There is an enigma, though, surrounding his name. Researchers have no idea where it came from because his parents are unknown. He became king during the period of readjustment that followed the death of his father-in-law, the pharaoh Akhenaton. The boy king married Akhenaton’s third daughter to strengthen his claim to the throne and took the name Tutankhaton meaning “gracious of life is Aton.'; After less than three years of residence at Akhetaton he changed his name to Tutankhamen. Because Tut was only nine or ten when he became pharaoh the direction of the state was devolved onto an older official named Ay. ( He succeeded Tut when he died.)

A Beautiful Woman Has Come Little is known about the origins of Nefertiti, but it seems unlikely that she was of royal blood. We know of no one claiming to be related to Nefertiti. Her father was possibly a high official of Amenhotep III and Akhenaten called Ay, who went on to become Pharaoh after Tutankhamun. "Nefertiti may have been a foreigner who, quite literally, arrived at the Egyptian court in order to marry the king"(Tyldesley 1999). There is no firm date for the royal marriage although monumental evidence suggests that it occurred either just before or shortly after Amenhotep's accession to the throne.
King Tut or Tutankhamun (reigned 1343-1325 BC), Egyptian pharaoh of the 18th dynasty, the son-in-law of Akhenaton, whom he succeeded. He became Pharaoh about the age of 9 and ruled until his death; which was about the age of 18. Peace was brought to Egypt during his reign as the worship of Amon, abandoned under Akhenaton, was restored and Thebes, the city sacred to Amon, was again made Egypt's capitol.
Within a heartbeat, her once successor and biological grandfather, had claimed her as his wife. She instantly rebelled at this. Ankhesenamun was strongly willed, and she had no intentions to marry va servant to her. She soon began to do everything possible to avoid this marriage to Ay. More than anything, Ay just wanted to secure his seat on the throne, rather than to actually have her as his wife. In Ankhesenamun’s desperate attempts to avoid this, she wrote a letter to Suppiluliuma I, King of the Hittite Empire, asking to marry one of his many sons (. Queen Ankhesenamun (Wife Of King Tut) ). This king was suspicious at first, suspecting foul play. Eventually when he sent a servant to Egypt to see if this was a legitimate transaction, he finally came around and sent his son, Prince Zannanza, to be wed to the reigning Queen of
King Tutankhamen was a 18th Dynasty, known for his famous tombs. Unfortunately, the King was also known for his mysterious death. King Tutankhamen’s death has been a mystery for many centuries. With a sudden death around the age of 18, several people were left wondering what really happened to cause his demise. Even more, when a British archaeologist, named, Howard Carter, found his tomb in the Valley of Kings, in 1922 (The Humanities, Culture, Continuity and Change, p. 65), experts from all over the world began to theorize possible causes of his death. I’m not an expert, but I have my theories, too. My first theory is that he died due to several health and medical related issues. My second theory is that he died from an attempted murder. All in all, there has been several theories as to how King Tut died.
Aye and Horemheb wanted to kill Tut.They wanted to go and figure out a plane so they figured one out and were figuring out when to kill him.The right time to kill Tut was when he was going on the pyramid. Then seeing him on the pyramid they pushed him to his tragic death.
