Argumentative Essay Conflict is definitions, examples and anecdotes. To respond you can discuss your problems with someone, protesting, ignoring and more. A conflict is a serious disagreement between people. When people sense disagreement they tend to feel uncomfortable. The best way to respond to conflict is by having an emotional outlet. An emotional outlet can help express your emotions to somebody or someone to help the conflict. Anne Frank and her family was forced into hiding from the Nazi’s. In the nonfiction genre, “The Diary of Anne Frank”, she responded to conflict by expressing her emotions to her diary. By expressing emotions people can write in journals, diaries, or talk to somebody. Anne Frank told her story in her diary that was found by her father after she died. “Dear Diary, since you and I are going to be great friends” (Hackett 17). This shows that she wrote her feelings instead of telling them to someone. By people expressing their emotions, it makes them feel good about themself, helps them feel more positive, and feel more relaxed. Expressing emotions’ is simply writing down your thoughts and feelings to understand them more clearly. And if you struggle with stress, depression, or anxiety, keeping a journal can help you gain control of your emotions and improve your …show more content…
mental health. Writing yours emotions helps control your symptoms and improve your mood by helping you prioritize problems, fears, and concerns. Tracking any symptoms day-to-day so that you can recognize triggers and learn ways to better control them. Providing an opportunity for positive self-talk and identifying negative thoughts and behaviors. “Writing helps you get to know yourself by revealing your innermost fears, thoughts, and feelings. Look at your writing time as personal relaxation time, a time when you de-stress and wind down” (Journaling for Mental Health). Expressing emotions is a good way to help an emotional outlet. Other than having expressing emotions for an emotional outlet, there is being supported by someone. “The Boy in the Striped Pajamas” Bruno has moved away near a concentration camp and hates his new house because he’s not aloud to explore or run around. He sneaks out through a shed window and goes out the gates, runs around and sees a boy named Shmuel behind a fence playing with dirt. Shmuel was isolated but then Bruno and Shmuel become good friends, trusted each other, and talked everyday. Bruno and Shmuel told each other their problems. By having someone to talk to, it helps the conflict by being relaxed, not being shy, and staying positive. “Bruno takes chicken out of the fridge and offers some to Shmuel” (Boyne ch15). Bruno cares about Shmuel, he fed him, listened to each other, and forgot about the things that was happening, they both kept eachother happy. Talking to someone can keep their minds off of things they worry about too much. Many say that emotional outlets are temporary but without one, people may be hurting themselves.
If there wasn’t an emotional outlet than people would be depressed, sad, hurting, and scared. For example in “The Diary of Anne Frank”is she didn’t have her diary, nobody would know here story or herself, she would be doing nothing during the day, her diary was her best friend. “The Boy in the Striped Pajamas”, if Bruno and Shmuel never met, Shmuel would be sitting behind a stack of wood by himself and Bruno would be inside his bedroom playing board games with himself. Emotional outlets are important so people aren't so negative, people need to stay positive during hard
times. One of the best way to respond to conflict is by having an emotion outlet. You can express your emotions to get rid of all negativity. Expressing emotions can lead toa different behavior depending on how you handle the situation. As people, expressing emotions keeps people calm, relaxed, happy, and mixed emotions, reacting to conflict is the behavior people have. Feeling supported can respond to conflict and feeling supported can respond to conflict. It is important to feel supported by someone because it makes you happy and have someone to talk to and have trust in someone.
Have you ever wondered what it’s like to live during World War 2? Life during World War 2 was torture if you were jewish, especially if you were a kid. Felix Salingar from Then by Morris Gleitzman and Anne Frank both knew what it was like. Their stories both describe the lives of jewish children hiding from the Nazis, in fear of being taken and killed. Throughout both of their stories, many character traits were discovered about them that show how they are similarly affected by the events in their stories. Anne Frank and Felix Salingar have many similarities, some of which stand out more than others.
Jews. He took it upon himself and Miep to give the two families in hiding
What is a conflict? A conflict is a struggle between opposing forces. In the world today there are many conflicts. Students had to read stories and all had conflicts in them. They read the Necklace, The Scarlet Ibis, The Most Dangerous Game, and many more. Three characters who had to face conflicts are Mathilde, Doodle, and Rainsford.
There are many stories, diaries and books from the time of The Holocaust but arguably the most famous of them all is the story of Anne Frank. Anne Frank was a teenage Jewish girl who went into hiding in her fathers offices in Amsterdam, The Netherlands when the Nazis called up her older sister, Margot (Anne ??). Just before the call up, Anne had started to write a “diary” which she continued to write when she went into hiding with her family. Throughout the book Anne writes that her worst nightmare is to be discovered (Anne ??). The Franks when into hiding in 1941 in the Annex of the Opekta offices and were arrested by the Nazis in ???. After such a long period of time in hiding there are many suspects for who betraye...
Anne Frank was my age, 15, when she was murdered by Nazis during World War II. I can’t even fathom what she must have gone through in the months before her death. Through her diary, one can understand the hardships of the Jewish people in Nazi Germany occupied countries
Have you ever read the play “The Diary of Anne Frank?” She wrote in a book during the Holocaust. She hid in a place called the “Secret Annex” Mr. Kraler was the man who let the Franks and Van Daans stay in his attic. The theme was “Which characters contribute to them theme people are good at heart.” In the play “ The diary of Anne Frank”, the theme people are good at heart is developed through the characters Miep Gies, Mr.Kraler, and Anne Frank.
...d again delve into her own emotions, using my words to help her identify how she may be feeling, my client can put a name to what she is actually experiencing. While it may seem obvious to the listener, when under stress, people may not know what they are feeling, or how to deal with it. Self-confidence is built when a listener allows that person to find out for themselves how to proceed (Petersen, 2007).
Emotions are just chemical reactions inside a muscle locked within their skulls, but those chemicals and affect everything around people and their perception of the world. “..The next time I saw my wife, she was on tv. That’s how you identify the dead in Derry--no walking down a subterranean corridor…” (King 1) Mike, finding out his wife died through such an apathetic way, spirals out into a wind of clouded judgement and grief. People become enraged when they are treated without compassion, especially when a life changing situation is at hand.
Sina Salemian Salemian 1 HS English 2;Period 3 Ms.Matthews January 10, 2014 Anne Frank During The Holocaust Anne Frank is a strong young girl that lived during the Holocaust in Amsterdam, Germany. She lived in a very bad time during the Holocaust, where she either had to hide or go to a concentration camp. Anne Frank is a normal girl that should be going to school and not be in hiding from the Nazis and should not have to take the sacrifices of having no friends, no ability to be free and to express her religion. I consider Anne a hero because of all the dedication to staying free and not having to be under a dictatorship.
Imagine what it would have been like to be cooped up in an attic during the Holocaust, with only very little space eight people in one little attic. For the Franks and the Van Danns it was eight people and a cat for most the time. With no one to talk to they have to keep everything in, unless they write it. In “The Diary of Anne Frank” the two families live this way. Anne and Peter were two of the characters who experienced this. Anne is a teenage girl who has a sister and lives during the Holocaust. Anne also had a lot of friends so she was popular; she loved to read and write in her journal. She was very loud and obnoxious. In Act one Scene two ,Peter says “I was always by myself, while you were in a big crowd of people.” This shows that Anne was very popular and is used to people; while Peter was not used to as much attention and people. Then in Act one Scene three, Mr.Van Dann says, “ Why can’t you be more like your sister Margot?” This proves that the Van Danns like Margot more than they like Anne ; it also proves they think Anne is obnoxious.
Plato, a famous philosopher in the early ages, described emotion and reason as two horses pulling an individual in opposite directions. Often emotion is a form of automatic action, and reason is a form of controlled action, where thought processes occur before action takes place. However, reason cannot control emotions. A huge factor is that emotions are an outlet of inner emotions. People often don’t cry when they feel joyful deep inside. Some people might be acting, but actions and small details often portray the emotions hidden inside. People...

Imagine being isolated from the rest of the world in plain sight. Hiding from your country so you wouldn’t be captured and sent to concentration camps to die. Well, this is how the majority of Jewish people lived. They lived in fear and in hiding to be captured during World War II. Anne Frank and her family were one of the millions of Jews that were prosecuted and hunt down by the Nazis.
Everyone experiences emotions. The Film Inside out directed by Pete Docter portrays the ways in which emotions can affect our thoughts, actions, and experiences. Emotions are the lens through which we view the world, and it is through these lenses of emotion that we view our experiences, both present and in memory. Our memories though are not necessarily always seen in the same light that they were when originally experienced, instead they are recolored by our current mood. Emotions due to being such a central element in how our individual worlds are perceived are important to be in harmony with one another.
The emotions give the reader insight into the conflicts of the human condition, which is all the writer can hope to
