In Diary of a Wimpy Kid The Long Haul Gregs mom throws out a surprise road trip and they were told they are going to visit their aunt but the next day they were told they are going to disney world but Manny Greg and Rodricks little brother Manny upset because he was excited to see their aunt and they ended up going to see their aunt. Jeff Kinney’s “Diary of a Wimpy Kid the Long Haul” is a book about a boy whose life is horrible and he is always getting picked on by his brother he faces life in middle school and at home. The lesson he taught was never trust your mom when she throws out a surprise trip on you and your dad. Jeff kinney was trying to get people to read his books by adding jokes to them and his other diary of a wimpy kid books. When you read these books on thing is to not end up like Greg because he has a diary when he asked his mom for a journal instead she got him a diary and his brother Rodrick is always teasing him about it. …show more content…
The theme of this book is that they go on a road trip that goes horribly wrong when they stop at a motel that has a bad room and when they go to a county fair where Manny wins a pig and they all go to a water place called soak central and they lose the key to the locker they got.
They end up at the parking lot of a store and they sleep in the minivan and the boat for the night and they accidently lock the keys in the van and their dad uses a fishing rod to try to grab the keys when that failed they lowered Manny into the van and he goes straight for Greg’s duffle bag where he had a pack of oreos and then he went to the driver seat turned the car and turned on his favorite radio station and then he puts the car in drive at first they did not realize that he had been trying to escape to go get his pig from the petting
zoo. The whole point of the road trip was because his mom read about it in a magazine called Family Frolic and Greg did not like the sound of that idea of the road trip and he suggested that they rent one of those rvs where everyone could have their own space but Rodrick suggested renting a trailer as a mini apartment for himself. Greg is addicted to electronics and the tv. He is always teased by his brother Rodrick about having a journal that says diary on it because he asked his mom just for a regular old journal but instead she gets him a journal that says diary on it. Greg also goes over to his friend Rowleys house when they are let out of school and they play games most of the time when Greg is there and then he goes home and is teased more by Rodrick. Greg is in middle school and Rodrick does not really go to school because hes is in a band. They do not really get along that good because of the journal Greg has and Rodrick is always trying to take Gregs journal and always fails at it for example:one time Rodrick tried to run away with it and tripped over a board game. The Diary of a wimpy kid books are a series of books and you have to read the first one to get the general idea of the book. I would recommend this book to people that love books with humor and lots and lots of jokes and fails. If you read from the second or third book you won’t understand what’s going on in the books.

Rita suddenly started screaming in Spanish asking where Buck was. They told her he was dead and ordered her to put her hands above her head. He handed the gun to Glenn motioning him to stay here and watch the two as he went for the cops and took the others.

There are three older boys, Ralph, Jack, and Piggy, that have an effect on the group of younger boys. The Main character Ralph, changes throughout the novel because of his role of leadership and responsibility, which shapes him into a more strict but caring character as the group becomes more uncivilized and savage. At the beginning of the story, after the plane crashed on the island and the boys are accounted for, Ralph feels very free and absent. He finds a lagoon with warm water, and just like any other twelve year old boy, he goes for recreational swimming. Whizzoh!
After experiencing a traumatic car crash, Michelle, the protagonist of director Dan Trachtenberg’s film 10 Cloverfield Lane, wakes up in an underground bunker owned by a man named Howard. Howard claims to have saved her from a widespread chemical attack that has contaminated the air, with his bunker being the only place to take refuge for the next couple of years. Yet as the film progresses, Howard’s controlling and threatening demeanor eventually brings Michelle to escape, allowing her to come across the actuality of the situation outside the isolated bunker. Throughout the production, Trachtenberg arranges close frames, manipulates the camera’s focus, and chooses specific lighting to create an ominous tone that mystifies and disturbs viewers.

It is quiet rare to watch a film that trumps its novel origins. Film version of movies are often less detailed, give poor representation of true characters, and are frequently just plain laughable in comparison to “the real deal.” However, the best selling memoir, “Wild: A Journey from Lost to Found” offers a framework that simply begs to be put into motion picture.

What is childhood? To some its the upbringing and quality of life given to the child within the first several years of the child's life. Imaginary friends are also known as pretend companions, imaginary companions, and imaginary playmates (Klausen & Passman, 2007). The children who have imaginary friends know their friend really well.
