Victimology is the study of people that have become victims of a crime. This crime impacted a traumatic event on the victims which they cannot move forward. The theories of victimization are victim precipitation, lifestyle, deviant place and routine activities. “Victim precipitation that some people cause or initiate a particular confrontation that may eventually lead to that person becoming victimized by injury or death. Lifestyle is the behavior such as going out late at night, associating with young men and residing in cities increases the chances of falling victim to crime. Deviant place theory holds that victims do not motivate crime but rather are prone to becoming victims simply because they live in social areas that are disorganized and contain high-crime rates. Routine activities conclude that the volume and distribution of predatory crime are closely linked to three variable interactions that present the typical routine activities executed in an American traditional lifestyle (Theories of Victimization, 2009).”

It was her way of lifestyle that was trigger for her to be the victim because it was a routine activity that she always did. But reading the scenario she was involved in drugs that might have trigger that because maybe a client was not happy with Carla. Living in that environment can also be the cause she was victimized. She was at high risk because she failed to practice her safety precaution and place herself in vulnerable situation. That is the reason that I feel she had the fault even though she was the victim in this case. If she had taken measurement like asking her boyfriend to meet up with her or having another person with her would of make it better because she would be in a low risk and she would not been found
