Recommended: Deforestation of the Amazon rain forest

The Amazon is a beautiful tropical forest that covers 6% of the earth being home to many animals and plants. The rainforest is in great danger though because of many people like loggers, cattle ranchers, and settlers, rubber tapper's , and also native Amazonians. They cause deforestation which is a very big problem. There are Environmentalists and that found the most appropriate way to address the land conflict in the Amazon rainforest, and that is to stop deforestations so Environmentalists can continue to conduct research in the Amazon.
The problem deforestation causes are that it destroys plants Environmentalists haven’t discovered yet, only 1300 out of 2000 medicinal plants have been discovered medicinal plants are plants that are used everyday medicine, there are even plants that fight cancer. The …show more content…

They even have non-profit organizations that buy land that they feel like is the most endangered to being destroyed. Also with companies contributing they are now starting to use renewable raw materials in their products to put a stop in there cause of deforestation. groups or certain groups in the Amazon do certain jobs and play roles in trying to keep the Amazon safe. A group called Amazon watch that focuses and looks out for global warming and even advances the rights of the indigenous people that live there .
With deforestation happening so much in the Amazon it can affect climate change and mess up the carbon cycle and also water cycle. The trees and plants in the rainforest absorb carbon if the deforestation continues to grow it can release tons of carbon into the air causing severe damage. The roots of the rainforest anchor the soil so when trees get cut there is nothing to hold the soil there and quickly washes away with rain, the problem with this is if there are no roots floods can happen it affects the fishes and
