The reason that I choose the store was that MAC is one of the big company in the beauty industry and I might be able to work for the company in the future as coming makeup artist. I went there around 10:30 and was not very busy with a customer. Even if the store was not very busy when I was in the store, however, an employee of the store did not seem interested in me and other customers. The reason that I choose the store was that they have 50% off sale which is good and I want to make a real purchase there. I went the store around 11:30 and was a little busy with several customers but I still was greeted with smiled and asked if I needed any help. They used 10-10 rule that greet within 10 second or 10 feet and their appearance and manner convey a favorable impression to greet customer. The employee did not push and just explained a little bit about the on-going sale and what are the new clothes of this season and let me look around the store. But she was still caring me if needed any help very friendly. Also, the employee asked me to try on the clothes and checked the size for me. She approached with a benefit approach presenting how much the price was going down with the sale and a few functions of the clothes that can absorb the sweat when I am doing workout. A strength of the salesperson’s presentation was that she could make that I feel comfortable with her presentation. She talked about her personal opinion a lot. Even if the employee did not any push and encourage a lot, I was still approached and asked several questions and made a purchase. The employee was very friendly, asked questions at cash and gave me free fitness

Government regulation on food, drinks and medicine has created safer products for public use. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is constantly working hard at making sure that the food and medicine produced and sold by corporations are safe for public health and are produced in an ethical manner. Food and pharmaceutical corporations are forced to follow strict guidelines so that their products are allowed to be sold in the United States. Much of the public doesn’t realize that the Food and Drug Administration is also in charge of regulating the cosmetics that are sold within the United States. However, unlike food and drugs, cosmetics companies are loosely regulated and given a greater freedom to produce items they choose. Various cosmetics have been found to contain ingredients that are harmful to the public health or the environment.

The absence of clothing has become omnipresent in today’s advertising. Some ads focus on the removal of clothing, while others focus on no clothing at all. This idea is ever-present in fragrance advertising, as it forces the viewer to focus on the product over the appearance of one’s clothing. The absence of clothing creates a very specific mood for the ad: sex. The ad is able to portray a meaning that is not even included in the ad just by removing pieces of clothing. Fragrance advertising, such as Gucci Guilty, uses sex as a tool to sell a product without knowing anything about it.

Beauty product can be defined as cosmetics; materials and devices made and sold for the purpose of enhancing the physical attractiveness of users or in other words, as any product, especially a cream or lotion, intended to improve a person's appearance . We live in society where people nowadays are very obsessed with beauty and spending so much money on beauty products. For this assignment Amy and I chose cosmetics and toiletries. A cosmetic is a preparation or substance that is used to alter certain parts of the human body it can change the odours or appearance of the body, clean it or protect it. Some of the items in this industry that are included in the description of the cosmetics and toiletries industry are hair care products, makeup, bath, shower and skin care products, fragrances, male grooming products, oral hygiene products, female sanitary items, deodorant and moisturizer and other cream. After several attempts at researching where cosmetics are produced and manufactured, we found that is very rare for most makeup and toiletry brands to be made in Australia after calling and enquiring to many different companies we found that most products are shipped from America or the UK. However, we did find that Procter and Gamble produces Billie goat soap in Australia and all of Lush’ products are manufactured in Canterbury in Sydney.
Shopping is something that has to be done whether you enjoy it or not to get essentials needed. We all go places where merchandize is being sold for a specific reason. Whether you go to the mall, shopping centers, or your local grocery store, you 'll always encounter many types of shoppers. Shopping isn’t always as fun as it sounds to everyone, but it is something we often do. This is the only way we get products we need, by personally buying them. The role I will be researching into is the role of a make-up artist in relation to theatrical and other genres. I will explore the many roles and responsibilities of make-up artists, the current range of jobs going in the industry for make-up artists and also the importance of the job and who requires them. I also will discuss the certain roles and responsibilities I need to personally follow during the upcoming Arley Hall performance. Firstly one very important role of a make-up artist is communicating with clients to finalize visual requirements. This is an important responsibility as it ensures a happy and satisfied client witch as well as creating an impressive visual product on performers, also means a good relationship between make-up
In the article “Understanding Alternative Choices of Handmade Cosmetics in Postmodern Consumer Society” Pernilla Arbajian and Yaran Di discuss how consumers perceive purchasing handmade cosmetics. Di defines “Handmade Cosmetics” as, “cosmetics made by human and made from natural ingredients, as opposed to cosmetics that are mass-produced, machine-made and made from chemical additives” (Di, 2014). The Bee’s Knees definitively can be described using this definition as a handmade cosmetic company. Companies today are aware of consumers being scattered and varied about their beliefs. This study goes through the steps and processes that consumers go through when deciding if a product if handmade or natural (regardless of how it is actually made) and how consumers assign meanings to their products of interest in their daily lives.

Cosmetics are defined by the statement, "a product applied to the body, especially the face, to improve its appearance." Are women too reliant on cosmetics to improve their self-image? Cosmetics are a major factor in millions of lives whether that be from self-confidence to make up for a play. As the years go by cosmetics continue to improve on efficiency and availability. Dating back to ancient Rome the term cosmetics was used differently. They simply used it as a way to mask body odor by covering themselves in perfume (Chaudhri, 164). The use of cosmetic products have evolved drastically.
