My Trip to Boston

“ Everyone hold onto your seats this is going to be a hell of a ride” (Akeem). I flew to Boston, MA with a group of my classmates from Maumelle High last year to tour the beautiful city, go to the Boston Red Sox parade, and to watch the Boston Celtics go against the Milwaukee Bucks at the TD Garden Arena. Although, tourist attractions in Boston are ravishing, they're well-known for building the first subway in America.

My classmates and I jumped off that plane rushing to find a cab to take us to the Sheraton Boston Hotel to drop off all our belongings. Finally, we got settled and ready to roam the pristine streets of Boston. I went the Quincy Market to hang out and buy souvenirs. Diversity plays extensive part around Boston

when meeting other people outside your nationality. I ate at Legal Harbor-side; their seafood is very fresh because it comes straight off the docks. I highly recommended the calamari it's so mouth-watering. While walking downtown, I saw chickens caged up in a farmer's market, it puts you in the mind of Chinatown. I tried to take picture of it, but an elderly,feeble man said, “No no no picture”. I took one anyway when he waddled back inside. Did you know you can pick out any chicken of your choice for them to cook for you. “It sounds crazy and disgusting right,” said one of my classmates. Yeah, all of us left heading towards Harvard University. The campus was humongous; students there were well-manner, and you have to be extremely intelligent to be able to attend their. Finally, each individually, headed to the most historical museum in town, Boston Children's Museum. I knew Boston was famous for having the biggest riot ever in U.S history between the Patriots and British soldiers. This city is better-known for building the first subway on September 1, 1879 in downtown Boston. This provided the best public transportation worldwide and spread to; England, London, Britain, and New York. The next day, my classmates and I went to the Red Sox parade.
The Red Sox Parade burst with gun fire, balloons, string, sirens, and excitement. Boston’s marching band strolled the streets battering their instruments through the crowd, and the fans went wild including us. Guess who was riding on the trolley with the Boston’s band; David Ortiz! He was honored for winning his first World Series in 2013. I took picture a with him, I felt so ecstatic realizing that he was one of the greatest baseball players that ever lived. One his female fans got too wasted and started touching him inappropriately. He screamed, “security get this woman away from me”. The guards thrown her out the parade she was kicking and shouting, holding on for dear life. My classmates and laughed because David startling facial expression was a cry for help. Later, we scattered through the crowd to exit the parade going back to the hotel to get ready for the basketball game tonight.
Finally tonight has come, I grabbed my green; Celtics t-shirt, fan hand, and pom poms; I was ready for the fight.

My classmates and I had to take the subway, it was really crowded, my face was literally glued to the window. The subway roared with cheering fans, it shook the whole train station. The train finally made it to our destination, everyone scattered out subway like cockroaches. The TD garden stadium, arena was stunning. This has been my first time ever viewing Boston Celtics vs. Milwaukee Bucks live instead of watching it in my family room. The seats of TD Garden's stadium rumbled with faith to encourage the Celtics. I met Rajon Rondo on the sideline, he was injured, so he unable to participate in the game. He had a great sense of humor and great sportsmanship. Even though the Boston Celtics lost the game, it was awesome an experience for my classmates and I. The next morning, it was time for us to fly back home to Arkansas.

Briefly, Tourist attraction in Boston are startling; however there well-known for building the first subway in America; in Boston providing the best public transportation world wide. Boston is a stunning place to visit and is a very historical city. I met a famous baseball player and basketball, what more can you ask for. When going to a Boston parade be prepared for the unexpected. Boston cultural lifestyle will forever be an unforgettable

experience.
