The wonders of Mexico are astonishing and I was just lucky enough to see them. From the ancient pyramids built by the Aztecs to the ancient watering hole I was privileged to swim in and even the breathtaking shows they put on at the hotel.
My first day there was amazing because I found out that the next day I would go see ancient Aztec pyramids, so I would definitely need to rest up for the big day. The next day came and I couldn't wait to go see the ancient pyramids. I got there in a big touristy type bus and it was packed to the brim full of people which wasn't very comfortable, however we got through it.When I got there people were trying to sell my family and I weird wooden carvings, but we said no.Then we saw it the ancient pyramids

I even got to jump into it but at first I was nervous to jump, but decided to ignore it because this was a once in a lifetime opportunity and after I did it I was so glad that I did because It was so exhilarating. This part of the trip was definitely the most adventrus in my opinion. Even the stairs leading down to the hole were made of ancient rock which was very interesting in my opinion. That night you bet I slept well because of all that adventuring.
The next day I was still very exhausted, however I couldn't wait until that night because there was a show that they put on for all the hotel guests. It was amazingly enough they breathed fire did flips and even did tricks with torches that even managed to impress my father which was hard to do.In my opiion the most impressive thing about the shows where that they did a new one every night, which I presumed was very impressive because they had to come up with something captivating every night for the audience.
In conclusion, this wild and amazing adventure to Mexico has opened my eyes to all the breathtaking things Mexico has to offer and overall this trip to Mexico was my favorite trip I have ever been except for Canada but that is another
Mexico is boarded by the United States of America, Belize and Guatemala. Mexico has a very diverse landscape of mountains, plateaus, deserts, tropical jungles, and even beautiful Palm beaches. With its diverse climate, Mexico also has a diverse population of plants. In desert areas, the most common plants that are found include cac...
At the age of two my parents made the long and devastating journey to bring me and my siblings to the United States from Mexico. Wanting a brighter future for us, my parents fought tooth and nail to give us the world they didn’t grow up having. Ever since stepping foot on the U.S soil, going back seemed impossible. The effects of this life-changing move, couldn’t mask the unforeseen disadvantages. Lacking exposure to Mexico’s colorful culture, little to no bonding time with my family from abroad, and the struggle of trying to blend into an environment that was so different, soon began to interfere with my overall identity. Realizing this, my wonderful parents prepared a transformative trip back to my homeland, and back to the past, facing
In conclusion, Mexico is rich in every way. Its people, many traditions, many cultures, and many different foods are what make this country unique. In my case, even though I was born here in this great country, I can say that I am very proud of growing up in Mexico because thanks to that I am who I am today. No matters in which country I am celebrating these traditions and festivities makes me feel like I never left, having said that I feel very proud of being Mexican.
Culture is customs, arts, social institutions, and achievements of a particular nation, people, or other social group. It includes behaviors, attitudes, beliefs, values, and norms that is shared by a group of people to sustain their lives. Mexican culture is influenced by their familial ties, gender, religion, location and social class, among other factors. Today life in the cities of Mexico has become similar to that in neighboring United States and Europe, with provincial people conserving traditions more so than the Mexican living in the city. In the United States Mexican includes any person of Puerto
Mexico a place very near and dear to Texan hearts is a culture that most of us are fairly familiar with. In saying that there were many aspects that I personally were not familiar with and I found highly interesting.
I was born in Mexico and raised in beautiful San Diego since the age of four. Coming to the United States at a very young age I had to face many challenges that have shaped me to the person that I am today. I consider myself a Chicana woman who has overcome the obstacles to get were I am know. Being raised in a Mexcian household has thought me to embrace my culture and its roots. The Spanish and native blood that is with in me remind me of many Americans today. The reason I consider my self Chicana is because of the similar background that I shared with many Americans today. Living in the U.S. I have learned to adapt and embraced the American culture so much so that it came a point of life were I struggled to find my own identity. Taking
Interesting history, variety of foods to eat, and the spirit of celebrations are among the reason why I think Mexico City is a beautiful place, and a place I recommend you should visit.
What is culture? Many people ask themselves this question every day. The more you think about it the more confusing it is. Sometimes you start leaning to a culture and then people tell you you’re wrong or they make you feel like a different person because of your culture. I go through this almost every day. Because of the way I was raised I love Mexican rodeo but I was born and raised in Joliet. This can be very difficult trying to understand culture. I live in this huge mix of culture. Culture is personal. People can have many cultures especially in America and because of globalization. Cultural identity is not one or the other, it is not Mexican or American. Cultural identity is an individual relevant thing.
I actually went to Mexico for the first time in 2007, when I was 12. The whole experience was not what I expected but it to be, because I still had a childish mentality at the time. From that perspective, I did not look at my surroundings and digest what they meant. So because of my lack of understanding, I felt compelled to go back a few years later.
The views were spectacular, and the speed much faster. I had a lot of fun soaring through the air, and judging from the screams and laughter, my fellow zippers were having a great time as well.
It looked like lava from a volcano. The window was open and gives the best and worst view of the sun in the morning. “Time to get in the shower”. My mom yelled. Once we were done getting ready we walked out of the hotel and took a big whiff of the big city we were in. The smells are deadly but delightful. We saw a pizza place and got some Chicago pizza it’s was pretty cool and there was a lot of cheese. After that we went to a couple museum of dinosaurs and ancient animals. Once it was night we walked around to a McDonalds and got food. I loved to city at night it was so beautiful. The city looked like there was a million stars all over from the
The high point of the trip was during our incline up the Bighorn Mountains. Most of our ears popped on the way up, but the change in air pressure apparently made my dogs instead pee on my sister. Mi hermana was upset to say the least. I, on the other hand, was elated that my pups had my back and avenged me. After all, my older sister was my nemesis at the time. Later on in Colorado, I remember we had stayed at a motel right by another mountain range. It was extremely stunning to look outside the window and see the extensive, steep peaks. Of course being how my parents are, they wanted to visit the Old Faithful geyser. All of us walked quite a ways to see it, but it had gone off right before we got there. If we wanted to see it it wouldn’t have been for another hour or so. This didn’t knock my parents’ enthusiasm down whatsoever. We loaded back up in the car and continued along to other sites to see what all the states have to
For me, the best part of the trip was the science and technology exhibition. Not many kids came to my exhibit, probably because it was just a computer screen without much on the board behind to attract attention. But I did talk to a group of maybe 15 students from a local school. They were interested at first in the contest I had participated in and in my web site and the process I had gone through to create it, but pretty soon they lost interest in that and became more concerned with my height. Like several other students I met, they all wanted photos to remember how much taller than them I was. But the most valuable part of the exhibition for me was walking around to other countries' booths. When I asked the students to tell me about their projects, they were always happy to describe their work. What really impressed me was the practicality and creativeness of their projects, and that so many groups of students from so many different schools could come up with such great projects. I tried to take a photo or video of each project that was described for
In 2014 I took a trip to the Rivera Maya, Mexico over spring break. We had been planing all winter to take the trip and it was actually happening. It was the second time I had been to Mexico and I was so excited to get out of the snow and cold weather we were experiencing in Iowa. Iowa winters are very cold and there's lots of snow, so I was looking forward to the nice weather. This is my one week trip to Mexico where I got to do so many new things.
It was close to four o’clock in the morning and we were tired. We met up with my dad at the airport and grab us a taxi. As we leave, we drive by a desert that was completely surrounded with sand. Passing through we made it into the city, looking at the flashing lights and buildings that stood tall. It was too early to go out and explore, we needed our rest. As we walk into our hotel, it was like walking into an expensive apartment. With its very own kitchen, washer and dryer, and a patio to top it all
