London is a place where there’s not a shortage of anything, much less coffee shops. The Starbucks are aplenty, but the true Londoners know that where there’s a mass produced White Chocolate Mocha, there’s likely a much better locally roasted option right around the corner.
If you’re lucky enough to be in London, as I was over the summer, one of the best things you could do would be to spend a day wandering from coffee shop to coffee shop enjoying the atmosphere of the vibrant city and it’s lively shops. Finding hidden gems within this bustling city can be a bit of a challenge, but you just need to know where to look to find a great coffee house. And if you’re very lucky, you might snag a cozy corner to spend the day and quietly feed your caffeine

The grungy streets provided a stark contrast with the lively and crowded shops. Complete walls are covered with tattered posters peaking out behind newly placed ones advertising small concerts and shows as you make your way to the aptly named “Brick Lane Coffee” (157 Brick Ln, London E1 6SB). It’s around two miles from the Aldgate East Underground station, but the atmosphere alone is completely worth the …show more content…
However, if you only have one day as I did, make sure to pencil in a stop at Morton’s (22 Broad Street Oxford OX1 3AS). The small, almost cramped sandwich shop offers little in terms of curb appeal, yet what it lacks on the outward beauty it more than makes up for in the baristas’ skill. A single brass espresso machine takes up most of the limited counter space and you can watch your barista’s every move if you wish because there was only one working when I went in. They only offer one size in the Flat White (£2.70) as most coffee shops do; however, Morton’s ‘one size’ was quite large. It was more than enough for me to notice the almost perfect balance of the bitter espresso with the sweet milk— a near perfect Flat White, I thought. Though I didn’t get to spend much time there, Morton’s does have a “secret garden” through the back of the establishment, with plants climbing the brick walls and flowers in planters blooming without restraint. Morton’s secret garden is the epitome of English
Every coffee addict knows, the day just does not begin until one’s mouth has had a taste of that glorious, roasted brew. Now, whether one likes a venti iced skinny hazelnut macchiato, sugar-free syrup, extra ice, no whip, the father, the son, and the holy spirit, or simply a cup of Americano, dark; the general consensus is that the combinations are virtually unlimited and the cafes are a plenty. However, coffee lovers beware of the hype; Starbucks may seem the prominent choice for a morning cup of joe but when it comes down to it, Dutch Bros. is the only way to go.
... are enough power outlets to fuel the creative mind of the techno-geared caffeine addict. The unique decor and fantastic music give it the feel of an NYC cafe. The friendly staff also contributes to the pleasant environment. All of the capable baristas are introduced on the restaurant’s website, with short and sweet bios about them all. This creates a close-knit family, all with a love for quality coffee. This familiarity encourages loyalty to the coffee shop. The full wall of windows provides a view of Bedford Street and again stresses that the products should be enjoyed in the morning. On a sunny morning, the light fills the cafe and illuminates the mural, a focal point. The artistic, wispy design disguises a boring brick wall as a magnificent work of art. The cozy and intimate setting encourages the consumer to return to enjoy the food and people that they love.
...a stroll or carriage ride through the Quarter and over to Cafe' du Monde. It's famous for it's beignets, a square-shaped donut minus the hole, dusted w/ powdered sugar, great w/ coffee.
One of my favorite places located along Fifth Avenue is Starbucks, a coffee shop offering many different types of coffees, teas, and snacks. I frequently find my way down to this coffee shop after school meetings, on weekends, or on days when I just ne...
Starbucks is a company in which purchases and roasts high quality whole bean coffees and sells them along with fresh, rich-brewed, Italian style espresso beverages, a variety of pastries and confections, and coffee-related accessories and equipment (starbucks.com). During my environmental scan in which took place at the Starbucks on the corner of Fair and Newport across the street from vanguard, I noticed many things in which where never brought to my attention in prior stays and visits at Starbucks; such as the many social groups in which choose to have their meetings at Starbucks. Thus in this essay we will discuss things in which many people do not really notice when going to Starbucks.
The book Call of the Wild conveys the theme that some humans treat animals with cruelty and disrespect. This theme is shown in the text, for example, because the trio would over work Buck and the other sled dogs to a point where they could no longer work and also whip them if they did not move fast enough. This shows one of the cruel ways some people might treat animals. 4 reasons why the theme some humans treat animals with disrespect in call of the wild is shown because in the text for example the man in the red sweater would club the dogs. This is shown in the text’’But the club of the man in the red sweater had beaten into him a more fundamental and primitive code.’’
The beautiful, radiant and vibrant island that goes by the name of Jamaica is located on the Windward region of the Caribbean. It is one of the best place to be on earth. Our motto “Out of Many One People”, symbolizes the vast cultures and races that make up this beautiful island. Jamaica the land I love, lives on in each individual and leaves a positive impact even with just one visit or no visit at all. In this essay I will elaborate on the various cultures that build up the island, the different attractions the country has to offer and an overview of the unique lifestyle of Jamaicans.
like an oddly dressed cousin at a family gathering. Its old-fashioned coffeeshops and conserved pre-war apartments provide an interesting backdrop to the area’s eccentric fashion boutiques and eateries, adding to the offbeat and idiosyncratic vibe of the neighbourhood.
A person can’t go anywhere today without seeing Starbucks. There are coffee stores all over the world, Starbucks inside Target’s and military installations, to Frappuccino’s and teas sold in grocery stores and gas stations.
Ibiza is a Spanish city located on the isle of Ibiza, close to Majorica and the Spanish mainland. The nearest mainland city to it is Valencia. Ibiza is known globally today for its electronic music and clubbing scene as well as a scenic holiday resort. Internationally renowned live music events, such as Ibiza Rocks, are a year-round feature of Ibiza's culture. However, the island also has a rich history as a port city and fishing outpost. Ibiza was founded by the Phoenicians and has been home to a great number of ancient empires. But Ibiza is more than just the main town, clubs, and hotels. The sprawling natural expanse of the island means that most visitors will need a car to get around. Enterprise-Rent-A-Car can help. We operate one Ibiza Airport branch on the island. We're located at the Aeroport d'Eivissa next to the entry gate, off of Ibiza's E-20 main road.
I have chosen this topic to be one of the subjects I will discuss because I have become very interested in the different lifestyles that the British citizens pursue and another reason that I have chosen to discuss this topic is because of how surprised when I encountered the large amount of diversity that the UK consists of. Since I have started living in the UK, I have learnt many things concerning this topic such as the daily routine of most citizens and since I am a student I have also learnt about the student life and how to maintain a good and balanced lifestyle which has been a very exciting experience for me.
I think we all have a beautiful place in our mind. I have a wonderful place that made me happy a lot of times, years ago. But sometimes I think that I am the only person who likes this place and I'm asking myself if this place will be as beautiful as I thought when I will go back to visit it again. Perhaps I made it beautiful in my mind.
The city was blinding me with shining lights that you could see from space. It was glistening in the night and dull by day. There were cars parked all alongside the streets and traffic jams every corner.
