Recommended: A walk to remember character analysis

No movie is perfectly made, there’s always small errors within it that may be so small that people don’t really notice. The majority of the time people rate a movie overall, they either like it or they don’t. Although when you really pay attention to a movie in detail you are able to see the imperfections and it makes you change your mind. I chose A Walk to Remember because it’s one of my favorite movies and I thought it’d be interesting to watch it from a different perspective. I came to realization that it is not in fact as good as I thought it was. A Walk to Remember’s narrative is somewhat that of a classic love movie. I did like how for every scene they adjusted the colors from the background to the characters outfits. For the majority of the time the characters were wearing light, white, and pastel colors.This was definitely one of my favorite things about the movie because the colors were soft and touched the tone and overall feeling of the movie, from Jaime’s soft heart to their soft love that lasted even after her death.The editing for some scenes was really good as well.For most scenes the film focuses on the people within the frame so they blurred out the background so the audience wouldn’t get distracted. The change in scenes was very smooth, they played a song to go along with the transition from one scene to the other and the crew did a great job with capturing the right angles allowing us to see only what had to be seen. In each frame presented to the viewer we are also able to figure out that the weather felt like, in some scenes their hair would be blowing and the plants that were seen as well. My favorite editing part was when Jamie was singing in the play and they made transparent images of her as the camera rotated. For a few scenes the viewers experienced anxiousness like the part where Jamie was entering the cemetery and we didn’t know why which was pretty exciting because of the way the frame was set up we saw the dull night and just a small portion of the moon light shining upon Landon and Jaime. After looking at the movie from a different perspective I do not like it as much as I once did but now I admire different parts of the movie that at one point I never even shared interest

    For example, in the sychronized swimming scene, many different camera angles were used. Some parts of this scene were shot from above, the side, from below which was interesting as that 's not something often seen. The scene where Ralph Fiennes character, Laurence Laurentz, was showing Hobbie Doyle how to say a line correctly was incredibly funny at first, but was carried on too long. The scene lasted approximately one minute, which doesn 't seem too long, but when the scene focuses on one small joke it feels like five minutes. Mysterious scenes were dimly lit, which worked sufficiently. When Baird Whitlock is kidnapped and just wakes up, he has no idea where he is and the lighting doesn 't brighten until he is told why he has been kidnapped and by who. The lighting was also cleverly used during the scene where DeAnna Moran explains to Eddie Mannix she wants to hide her pregnancy. Shadows are casted over their faces and the room is quite dark.
