Der Sloot Murder Case

Another main point about the disappearance of Natalee Holloway witch hunt is the fact that no factual evidence convicting Van Der Sloot has been found the single person who is accused, meaning that at the end of the day, even this one person cannot be linked to the killing Natalee Holloway
The police when starting this investigation interrogated Van Der Sloot, who was with Natalee Holloway when she disappeared. Van Der Sloot revealed his side of the story “saying she choked on her own vomit and in a panic, he threw her off the boat”(Last)(Not that he killed her of course).In Fact this lines up with what Van Der Sloot’s friend was saying as well, besides the fact that after she had died from choking on her own vomit they “buried her body behind a house in a specific location”(Last) admits that the alibi is somewhat true even with some facts being slightly altered. This along with an element of the police not able to gather enough evidence to convict Van Der Sloot of Holloway’s death.
Another point within the case is the search area of the place. Since Natalee Holloway was missing within the island of Aruba is the fact that it is a

“69-mile coast line”(Briscoe) and the investigators have find a “strand of hair within a strand of duct tape on the other side of the island”(Briscoe) where Natalee Holloway disappeared. Simply put not only do the police not have the evidence to admit arrest him in order to find the evidence they need ,which is Natalee’s body, they would have to scour the entire island in order to find the body. Yet when they conducted the experiment it was evident that with the current technology ,around 2005 or even within present day, they would need a specific area to conduct the research on sea if what Van Der Sloot said was true but then again not only would the sea around the island would need to be searched the investigators would also need to conduct the search on the land itself further increasing the odds that the body of Natalee Holloway has disappeared forever never to be found or at least, not to be found in our lifetime.
Indeed, another matter occurred where yes Van Der Sloot was convicted and charged and is serving around 28 years in prison it is not from the killing of Natalee Holloway but from Van Der Sloot admitting to murdering another woman in a casino.

Or if u heard otherwise from the news that Van der Sloot had indeed confessed. However Van Der Sloot’s videotaped confession admitting that he had killed Natalee Holloway is at most, from Dave Holloway (The father of natalee) is a “Is an obvious publicity stunt unworthy of belief … A lot of people don’t realize that in Aruba, a verbal or recorded confession is not valid, unless it’s a statement signed in writing”(Lhor). As such unless Jordan Van Der sloot has a signed confession that he had killed natalee holloway the video means nothing to the case as it was all for attention and possibly

money.
The idea of a witch hunt occurring in the Natalee Holloway case is false in any case you make for it. There was no mass hysteria only the mother and father and there is no mass accusation there is only one person Van Der Sloot and if you REALLY want to push it further well then how about you could question Van Der Sloot’s friends who were also present, but then again it wouldn’t work anyway, as they also have an alibi and there is no evidence available to the police to bring them in for question less go to court and try to imprison them. In fact, when comparing this to the Red Scare or the Salem Witch trials There is almost nothing in common with the events, the disappearance of Natalee holloway showed no mass hysteria, no panics, no political gains, not because of cultural differences, no racial differences, no generation differences, no change in the social norm the only things that could relate were economic gains for Van Der Sloot as he demanded 250,000 in dollars from Natalee Holloway’s mother in order for him to give her the location of her daughters body. Which, while Holloway’s mother gave him a down payment of 25,000 he never revealed the body’s location and just fled with the money given before being captured and imprisoned for the said conviction he pleaded to in court.
