Before researching any of the political parties I really thought I was Democratic, mostly because Obama is Democratic. I wasn’t really aware of what anything meant nor how it was effecting us as a country and the democrat sponsors made it sound good. After doing some research my eyes were opened and I now realize that the Democratic Party really wasn’t what I thought it was.
One of the main things I came to dislike about the Democrats was the fact they support abortion, I strongly disagree with this type of mentality and really upsets me. Although the Democrats say they wanna help the lower class men, they really aren’t, hiring taxes and causing inflations does not help. The Democratic Party are all for raising certain taxes to provide money for a lot of government spending, which according to them will generate business. Creating new and higher taxes will not create jobs. Needless to say, we can already see what a great job Obama is doing at fixing the government right? No. If this continues, the government debt will rise to such a level that a person's income will be completely taxed away to pay for it. I soon came to the conclusion that Democrats was not for me.
After figuring out what was wrong with the Democrats I moved on to the Republicans. Now, I did quite a bit of research on this party and was somewhat liking it. They did not support abortion which was great, they don’t support gay marriage either, but honestly that does not affect me whatsoever. The believe that taxes should not be increased for anyone, this includes the wealthy, and wages should be set by the free market. So far it was sounding pretty good, but as expected I found a flaw. Republicans believe we should increase spending on all areas of the military....

...and has its goods. I’ve chosen to go for the green party because the majority of there beliefs I agree with as opposed to the other parties. I feel that the Green Party really wants to be the party of the people rather than for the people. They give of more of the justice vibe, rather than “just us”. In all reality the Democrats and Republicans are one in the same. Although they are said to be different but if you look closely they really aren’t. Their beliefs are worded differently but in the end, they all want the same thing, money and power. We want change and are always begging for change, yet don’t take the first step. Change begins with us and I say The Green Party will bring us that change, a democracy begins when you get involved. The people want a part that is represented by them and it has become clear that the only party that does that is the Green Party.
The Republicans are against the federal government. In result, they are ruining the concept of the foundations of self- rule in a representative democracy. They use objection, obstruction, and filibustering to block not only the process of government but also in order to make Americans deeply cynical about Washington. According to the book, legislating has become “war minus the shooting”. Eric Cantor, the House Republican leader, said he would shut off major legislation which further on could potentially affect our economic recovery an entire congressional session. Another example of a Republican who isn’t exactly fit for the political job is Newt Gingrich. Newt Gingrich saw the House as a rotten and corrupt institution largely because it was run by democrats. When Gingrich won control over the House, it only resulted in wasted money and stationary committee nameplates. He also decimated the traditional committee system, and reduced the power of the committee chairman. When he stepped down and the other Republic...
As stated above, the party’s doctrine was based on more than three ideologies. The Democratic-Republicans called for extensive radicalism and nationalism. They dreamt about the country made of people with radical views who knew their rights. Their procedures are very democratic, fair, and transparent.
Libertarians often called out the unethical and untrustworthy practices of the government. Most people who supports the Green Party are environmental conscious. The Green Parties supporters are for equality amongst all citizens and non-violence social reform. Both these parties called for a change from the unjust government practices, the representatives tap into the building frustration of its communities. Often casting blame onto the society that governs them. Although very few, we win office. They do caused a big impact on who could win office. Many voters vote for these representatives simply because they are tired with the current state of the nation.
..., unless you seek to abuse it as Babbitt did. Republicans has a set agenda, but not everyone is a conservative Republican how refuses to budge, there should be some moderation in the creation and maintaining of such parties. The Republican Party has changed with time, but it needs to continue if it is to improve and grow as it continues during these turbulent times.
Did you know that the current leader of the New Democratic Party used to be a Liberal? Thomas Mulcair became the leader of the New Democratic Party after the death of Jack Layton. The New Democratic Party (NDP) is one of the major federal political parties in Canada. The NDP was formed in 1961 as the result of the merger of two different parties. There are numerous reasons why the people of Canada should vote for the NDP. Citizens of Canada should vote for the New Democratic Party because if elected, they promise to improve the environmental situation, provide better health care for Canadians, and improve the economy in Canada.
system produces conflicts between the Congress and the President and promotes very outdated beliefs that stem from the Constitution. A vast majority of the American population has the stern belief that the Constitution does not need to be changed in any way, shape, or form. This belief, however, is keeping the country from progressing along with other countries around the world. These single parties are holding control of multiple branches of government at once and monopolizing the power during their respective terms. The government “faces an incapacity to govern since each party works as a majority party” and believes there is no reason for innovation (Dulio & Thurber, 2000). The two parties are seemingly always clashing about one thing or the other, making it difficult for things to get accomplished, and proves the thesis correct that the two-party system is ineffective for a growing country.
In the United States we are divided by the left and right side on the political spectrum; even further divided into political parties such as Republicans, on the right, and Democrats, on the left side. These two political parties show philosophical differences through their viewpoints on major topics such as the economy, separation of church and state, abortion, and gun control.
Political ideology holds an important place when determining what to consider yourself as. The Republican Party holds a vision that is established on American traditions of family, community, and
A two-party system is a political system in which only two parties have a realistic opportunity to compete effectively for control. As a result, all, or nearly all, elected officials end up being a member in one of the two major parties. In a two-party system, one of the parties usually holds a majority in the legislature hence, being referred to as the majority party while the other party is the minority party. The United States of America is considered to be a two-party system. A two-party system emerged early in the history of the new Republic. Beginning with the Federalists and the Jeffersonian Republicans in the late 1780s, two major parties have dominated national politics, although which particular two parties has changed with the times and issues. During the nineteenth century, the Democrats and Republicans emerged as the two dominant parties in American politics. As the American party system evolved, many third parties emerged, but few of them remained in existence for very long. Today the Democrats and Republican still remain as the dominant parties. These two parties hav...
The level of unemployment in America is at a record low. Almost every able-bodied American is on the job working towards their American dream, and we, the Democratic Party, will not be satisfied until everyone can enjoy their American dream. Through Democratic leadership, the quality of life in America has vastly improved. America’s education system is improving, the environment is cleaner, families are healthier, and our streets are safer. Today, any American can claim that their lives are better off than they were 8 years ago.
The Green Party members for the most part believe that it is time to take a more
...eir own group, which is not a good sign among a party. They also support: repealing ObamaCare, which I think is needed because as an advanced nation, having no universal healthcare is embarrassing; anti-abortion, which even though I am against abortion, I do not think the government should be controlling a very personal issue regarding a woman’s health and sex life; anti-gay marriage, which I think dehumanizes homosexuals; anti-environmental regulations, which I think is wrong because we hurt our health as we hurt the environment; gun owner’s rights, which I think increases the risk of crime and suicide, not to mention accidents with younger children; and sealing the border, which not only prevents immigrants from forming a better life, but also tears families apart as immigrants are sent back to their native country, while their children remain in the United States.
How I came to find the Green Party is by my ceramic high school teacher. Since, my family rarely spoke about politics, I found conversations with my teacher intriguing when he talk about his view on the world and politics. While attending his class, introduce me to his political party, which is the Green Party. I found the platforms for the Green Party to be agreeable to most of my views, since I am moderately liberal and they are Hard-Core Liberal. Also, I disagreed with the two party system I found myself registering as a member of the Green Party.
So after serious discussions with my parents, friends whom are Democrats, Republicans and independents; I made a conscience decision to leave the GOP and become a Centrist Democrat. People have always respected my fiscal conservative views, which is really my only conservative position besides school choice and lowering taxes. Based on that, I cannot support a candidate or party that doesn’t line up with my personal views. True conservatives know that Donald Trump isn’t a real republican. The true Republican Party, who ended slavery in 1865, elected the first woman to congress in 1917, passed the 19th amendment in 1919 for women to have the right to vote, who ended segregation in America in 1954, signed the civil rights act in 1967 is extremely different from the present day republican party. The Republican Party has to evaluate its future because the party won’t survive if it continues to go down this treacherous path. The Republican party of Pa should allow some of their best to shine bright in the midst of this chaotic election season. I believe the likes of Joe Gale, David Oh, Val Digiorgio, Liz Havey, Perry Hamilton, James Williams, Pat Meehan, Ryan Costello, just to name a few are the future of the party. I plan on working with people in both parties who want to make America a great place to live for everyone regardless of your race,
Sub Point B: When deciding on which political party you want to support you can go over each party’s or candidates’ views and see which one best fit or agree with your views. The following is one well known policy for each presidential candidate: Trump wants to build a wall across the Mexican border and increase the fees on border crossing cards, temporary visas and entry border ports to pay for it; Clinton wants to raise taxes on capital gains held for one to six years; Sanders wants to make public college tuition- free for everyone by taxing financial transactions.
