When Kat Von D first sneak peaked the palette on her ex-boyfriends Instagram I was bouncing off the walls in excitement. Leave it to Kat Von D to come up with the most interesting collaborations. When I saw the colors in the palette, my excitement dwindled. I know I'm not the only one who feels this way, but the palette didn't scream Divine to me. The blue shades where definitely appropriate as Divine would often wear blue when she wasn't wearing neutral colored eyeshadows (in one of Divine's most recognizable scenes that comes from Pink Flamingos, Divine is wearing over the top blue eyeshadow). The black and white eyeshadows definitely have their place in the palette, especially the black which is perfect to fill in a giant wing or cut a crease. What perplexes me
“People say that challenges wouldn’t be called hurdles if there wasn’t a way to get over them”, however that doesn’t mean you can’t stubble now and then. Therefore, it’s overcoming a challenge that genuinely matters.Challenges are difficult to conquer, that’s the reason why once in awhile people need the use of a helping hand to show the way. Or at least this is how Oprah Winfrey overcame her challenges when they were too tough.Oprah Winfrey's life was very taxing growing up in multiple places and having a chain reaction of
In the midst of a celebrity downfall, one star continues to rise above — and that is none other than Jennifer Lawrence. Jennifer Lawrence never seizes to amaze the crowd and is considered an idol among millions. People all throughout the world admire Jennifer in a great deal of ways. She is known globally as an icon and is constantly praised. She is not your typical uptight celebrity, she is much more unique, quirky, and honest. There are many reasons as to why someone would admire Jennifer. The person I most admire is Jennifer Lawrence because she is not afraid to show that she makes mistakes, she is an exceptional role model, and she does not fall for the pressure of living a celebrity lifestyle.
In conclusion, she is a very good role model. She is a good role model because she shows people it is good to give to charity and she is a hard worker. She also shows that you don’t need to have inappropriate songs or inappropriate performances to be popular. This is why she is my favorite superstar and I wanted to write a research paper on her.
A role model can be a role model just because they are a leader or have great talent. Oprah Winfrey is considered a role model to many individuals because of her tough childhood, wonderful charity work, her schools, and the true relationships with her fans. Oprah stands out among many people for her ability to feel others’ pain and help those people get through their troubling times. For most people, growing up is filled with memories of joy and happiness. A childhood should be filled with affection and care, but Oprah did not always feel those things.
They both were courage and brave to end something that many people are suffering from and giving them hope to move on. The first reason for Lizzie being a hero is the fact that she is suffering from a rare syndrome, which gave the people a key to bullying her. After a video was posted of her “The world’s ugliest woman”, she received many violent and hurtful comments, for example “to do herself a favor and shot herself”. Lizzie was very depressed at that time and thought of killing herself but instead she started to look at the positive side. Her experiences lead her to start local events and small audiences to share her story. She inspired people after her speech “How do you define yourself” in TedxAustinWomen. (Ward, 2014) On the other hand, Demi Lovato is also a hero. In middle school, many students are being bullied for being over weight and getting teased by others. The first reason for Demi being a hero is the fact that she has an eating disorder, which made her obese and caused people to bully her. Secondly, the girls at Demi’s school started a petition “I Hate Demi” which caused Demi to receive mean and violent texts from the whole school. In addition, girls would come over to her house and yell mean words to Demi across the street. Furthermore, Demi struggled with anorexia, bulimia, and self-harm. Demi Lovato was sent to rehab and turned into a whole different girl that bullies did not even recognize her. (Koday,
