Happiness, something that everyone strives for, but not everyone achieves. Happiness is intangible, it’s a feeling. There is no pill to take, or spell that will make magically make people happy. In “ If you're happy, and you know it” by Kwame Appiah he said, Happiness is a feeling, you are happy if you think you are happy.”(449). To me that means happiness is just a state of mind. Anyone can be happy if they put themselves into that state of happiness. I personal have a hard time being in a happy state of mind all the time, dealing with school, family, having anxiety it’s difficult to stay happy. To say happiness is the main goal of life, it depends. For myself happiness is what I hope to achieve, but it’s not guarantee for everyone. Some people’s goals in life are to be either rich, famous, to be in love, travel, have a family, or to be happy. While other think they can have it all and it will overall will be happiness or lead to the road of happiness. I think it should be a goal or a want for people, because when you ask friends or family what they want out of life often times they will say “ I want to be happy, to have a family, nice home, or to be happy.” To others it might all be the same …show more content…
I would say no, their should not be a right to happiness.Everyone should be able to live and be happy, if it is something they want. I know happiness is not something we can buy and keep, but there should not be someone telling us that we can not be happy or have happiness. When I asked my family and friends, I was shocked by the response of them. Both my parents said thought that there should be a right to happiness. They felt that not all deserve this right, simply because some people have bad things and should have not right, while other individuals haven't worked to be happy. On the other hand my brother and friends agreed with myself, that there should not be a right to happiness. Everyone deserves a chance of happiness regardless of the consequences of there past. But there is a part of me that knows not everyone has the ability to find their happiness. Some people feel as though they cannot achieve happiness, or that they don't deserve it. Everyone has the ability to achieve happiness if they want it, no one can give it to
Happiness has always been a desirable goal throughout our lives, but each actions we take might just affect the happiness of others. When humans seek happiness, we always seek for things that make us feel alive, or things that brings us the greatest comfort. Our contentment comes with the act of selfishness since we choose to prioritize our happiness above all other. We willingly classify happiness in two different types of meaning, both physical and mental happiness. People ought not be in title to happiness because it is classified in general as a physical desire by many people. Contentment is always known to be a physical satisfaction in life instead of a self-inducing satisfaction for life.
According to Dictionary.com, happiness is contentment, joy, good fortune, and the state of being happy.
Happiness is something most humans value above everything else. The various things in life that make us happy, such as family, friends, and cool cars, to name a few, are the very things we hold dearest to us and place the most value on. People fill their lives with things that please them to ease the gloom that comes as a result of the seemingly never-ending trials and tribulations of life. We gladly accept any amount of pleasure we can extract from the monotony of our daily lives, and we will do almost anything to achieve happiness.
Maybe we can buy what we want that make us happy but literally, not happiness. Sometimes, we need to
Happiness is a state of mind that all men hope to achieve, but men can also be fooled by fake happiness. In the modern world, the definition of happiness is to be in a state of happy, where a man is pleasured, pleased, favored by fortune, and content. In the same sense, Boethius explains that
Happiness is an inner state of well-being and fulfilment, and therefore it has to come from inside. Every individual has his or her own emotions and way of thinking and as a result of this no one can really say what happiness is and what happiness is not. However, universally, happiness is a by-product of a healthy attitude and viewpoint. Happiness exists in everyone whether they choose to acknowledge and believe it or not. It is not rare nor is it something only the elite have: everyone has it but not everyone recognizes it. Contentment is finding a light at the end of every dark tunnel and in order to experience this we must ignore the pessimism surrounding us and remind ourselves that happiness is not a materialistic object but a choice and frame of mind.

Happiness is a feeling that humans naturally desire. Without it, one feels incomplete. In this generation, happiness has taken on a definition by how we are presented to one another. It is measured by how much money we have, how famous we are, or the things we possess. When in reality, none of these things guarantee a happy life. Happiness is something that cannot be bought with money, but rather, it must be found, earned, sought after. Each and every one of us has our own list of things that we consider to make us happy. However, happiness shines brightest through the relationships we create, and the goals we make for ourselves to strive after. Along with these two essential sources, we then can mix and match those things in life that we enjoy to create our own unique formula for happiness.
What is happiness to you? Some may say happiness is being with the ones you love, or others may say it's having money. No matter what, there will never be one correct answer because not everyone is happy from the same thing. Happiness to me is knowing I did everything i did to make a change or make other people happy. What even is happiness?
Everybody wants to be happy. Parents want their children to have a happy childhood and a happy life, people wish newlyweds a happy married life, and when someone passes on, they say, “S/he had a happy life,” as if that is comforting to those who are already missing the person and who are very unhappy. Why is happiness so important to people? Perhaps it is because humans are competitive by nature and one person exaggerates his/her happiness so that others are envious. Maybe it is because humans like to be distracted by a story and if they can believe someone actually achieves perfect happiness, then they can hold out hope for themselves. What is happiness exactly? No one knows because everyone defines it differently. In general though, happiness is an overall feeling of pleasure and satisfaction. If that is the case, then happiness seems easy enough to achieve, but whether humans are actually capable of realizing they are in the state of happiness though is another issue.
Do not pursue great intentions, but simply try to find your own journey of happiness. If you open your heart to happiness, one day it will come knocking at your door. For me happiness is a state of mind. Only I can choose whether to be anxious about every simple thing in life or to seize the moment and enjoy it to the fullest.
If you think about it how many times a day are you happy? Some might ask well what is your definition of happiness? It just so happens that my definition of happiness is and emotion that shows excitement or contentment in everything. That is my definition of happiness. Now let’s get to it can you choose to be happy? My answer to this question is no nobody can just choose to be happy.
According to Buddha, “Happiness does not depend on what you have or who you are. It solely relies on what you think.” To be happy, one must know what happiness is and then find aspects that make them feel that way. Happiness is not a brief sense of positive feelings, but a lasting sense of contentedness that can be achieved by keeping close relationships and engaging in habits that seem contradictory at first to happiness.
Happiness is a feeling that cannot be broken if strong enough, no matter how much sadness or hate is around you. Happiness can come from the smallest thing, for instance, music makes me happy and can easily change my mood, or when I am doing something I love my mood is easily changed. For others it could be whenever you do something well, or right and get recognition for it. It is the easiest feeling to be spread and given out but often neglected and forgotten about which is something we should all be more aware
