“Courage is doing what you are afraid to do. There is no courage unless you're scared.”~ Eddie Rickenbacker. Courage is among the most important characteristic of any person. It is what makes leaders, makes the brave and it is what has shaped the present.

What does it take to stand up in front of a crowd and lead them, it takes courage. Take a look at Gandhi, he was an old man, not much strength left in him and who knows how smart he was. But, we all know of is his courage. He had thousands of people follow because he had the courage to take a stand against what was wrong. In another instance look at the Spartans, they had to fight a war, 300 of them against over 10,000 Persians. Normally, anyone would back down from that fight, but the Spartan showed courage and they did not only fight, they won! Malala Yousafzai, a young girl living in a society that told her girls should not go to school. Malala did not back down, she showed courage and proved to the world what a female is really capable of. When you are doing something which you afraid of you are showing courage. I am scared of heights, but the last time I went to the stampede I went on the roller coast, sure it isn’t something big, but it did make me brave. My friend Haseeb has a fear of snakes, but he was brave by going to the Zoo and taking a look around the snake exhibit. My sister, Wahida, used to be scared of the dark when she was younger. She completed the Bloody Mary challenge and showed an act of bravery. This really goes to show the courage is what makes the brave, and those can be the people right beside
