Success is the dream that the heart yearns for, and most work their whole life to achieve it. More often than not, when asked of success people will relate it to the amount of worldly possessions one has to his or her name. We are brainwashed by the notion that wealth defines success and the wealthier we are, the more successful we are. In my opinion, this widely accepted perception of success is in fact a gross misconception of it’s true meaning. Success cannot be enumerated by our wealth or how many material belongings we have, it means far more than that. If we use wealth and material belongings as the criteria for success, it only comes to show that there is no true success as everything has an expiry date. I believe there is no one true definition of success. It is, to every person a different thing. I say this because humans are like snowflakes, there are no two that are exactly similar. Ergo it only makes sense that we breathe life to success differently. The one similarity of success for everybody is that it brings us joy. Wealth and material belongings can be the definition of success for those of us who prefer more tangible possessions. A raise, a promotion or receiving flying colors on an examination are all little pieces of success. Success is the outcome of hard work and diligence in achieving a specific result. This is the more known aspect of success, secrets whispered down from generation to generation. Focus in your studies and work hard, success will find its way to you. There is a saying that rings true with this topic, a failure is not those who has fallen down a hundred times, they are those that do not get back up. Thus proving that a fool-proof way to achieve success is to work hard, and brave the high road. Success is a multi-faceted diamond and this is one facet of it. Of course, one must remember that a vital key to success is happiness. Here we must hold close to heart the words of Thomas Jefferson who has stated that “I find that the harder I work, the more luck I seem to have” and to “Stop chasing the money and start chasing the passion” as spoken by Tony
Success can be an extremely broad subject. There is an abounding amount of different views on what the “true” definition of success is. Personally, I believe that success is finding happiness. Success is waking up in the morning and not having to worry about whether or not the bills are going to be paid this month. Success is having a job that you enjoy going to every day. Success is having friends and family who love and support you. Success does not mean that one has to be exceedingly rich or have a lakeside mansion. As long as they are happy, they have succeeded in life.
´´ If one advances confident in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life he imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours. ’’ These words were spoken by Henry David Thoreau.Success is within the mind of the individual. A large portion of one´s life is spent working to become successful. People are told throughout childhood to work hard so they can grow up and achieve all of their dreams. But success takes many different forms. Different people have different interpretations of what success means to them. It does not matter how related they are to each other in certain áreas they always have a different point of view of what success really is. For some success is measured by social status and wealth
There is no concrete definition for success, and there is not a foolproof way to obtain it, but it is something many strive for. In Outliers: The Story of Success, Malcolm Gladwell explains, with examples of successful people throughout history, that hard work along with a little bit of luck and willingness to seize every opportunity is the only way to become successful. Malcolm Gladwell illustrates throughout the story external factors that are mostly uncontrollable and internal factors like hard work that are very controllable lead to these outliers and unimaginable success stories.
Success is not earning a fat juicy check at the end of each month, or being a part of a large social group filled with fraudulent people that appear as familiar faces. But it is a person discovering him or herself after they had been lost and establishing a sense of purpose that makes them fills them with a warm glowing sense of accomplishment. Success does not have one transparent definition, it has various meanings depending on what success means to the individual trying to achieve it. Success is surviving.
Success is defined as the accomplishment of an aim or purpose and/or the attainment of popularity or profit.
Success means to live a life in alignment with what brings us real joy. In my case, “success-joy” comes in many guises. At times, in being persistent with my current dreams, others, investing time and energy in what makes my life shine, and that is, without a doubt, when my life is at service of humanity and when I cultivate happy and healthy close relationships. I tend to define success as a state of being, a constant process of unfolding rather than a place to arrive. It is the journey of getting to know ourselves, in order to fully occupy every aspect of what we are; a forever changing aspiration, a state of being in which we realize that life’s greatest rewards spring from our capacity to relate to adversity in innovative ways. I have also discovered that real success shows up again when we debunk and deconstruct every single stereotype and assumption we have about ourselves. In this way, we feel capable to challenge what is commonly accepted as wisdom and then we have the opportunity to change and integrate our values with greater ones. There is an enormous joy when we feel free to play with the possible new scenarios that our imagination and creativity compelled us to try. A successful state of being is alert and grounded within us with the certainty, that the choices we embark on are in resonance with what we consider is the truth of what we are in that precise
To many people success means the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. But what it really means is more than just that; is having a beautiful and amazing family of two boys and one girl, and have the best wife. Also, success means reaching my goals or dreams, like starting my new manufactory and insurance business and keep working hard because in order to reach things I must be ready to fall and rise up. But like I said, to obtain where I want to be; I’ll first need to finish college having my Bachelor in Accounting and start from zero.
The ideas of both of these 21st century authors corresponds with Emerson’s notion of success based on leaving the world a better place, not simply acquiring more things. Likewise, the empty relationship with my mother’s materialistic family versus the rewarding bond I share with my father’s family clearly illustrates the fundamental truth in Emerson’s quote. Measuring success by wealth and gain only serves to drive people apart and perpetuate a shallow, incomplete view of the world focusing on the high minded ideals Emerson espouses; genuine affection, finding the best in one another, and appreciating beauty, that is the true measure of success.
Success can mean to overcome storms of life. Being dedicated to something will play one of the most important roles in reaching success, and who could understand the meaning of success if they did not experience disappointment. Overall, success is not solely based on the attainment of material goods, but rather, tied to broader concepts. One
Success is a term used by almost every individual person on this green and blue planet that we call Earth. Whether it is parents, college professors, teachers, bosses, co-workers, and inspirational speakers, they all apply this word to everyday life, however what does it truly mean? Success is a noun that, by definition, stands for “the accomplishment of an aim or purpose.” Although this is the official definition, society has a different definition for the phrase success. Society has defined the phrase success as being wealthy, having quite a few material items, having a stable well-paying job, and a healthy family as a side bonus. There are members of society
Success only truly comes with being happy. Happiness and success are the accomplices of one another. Someone cannot have accompanies without the other. Happiness brings success, and success brings even more happiness. Success, in the dictionary, is defined as the achievement of something desired planned or attempted. Therefore, success cannot be judged by anyone than oneself. It is a personal thing. It is the realization of goals, desires or plans made by one 's self. It is not measurable and yet is something we always use to compare others or appraise someone 's worth. Success, in one form or another, is something that someone should always be striving for. For some people it is something they will do subconsciously, and for others it will be something they will constantly labor for. Because success is something that is different for everyone, it is best that they measure their personal success by their sense of self worth instead of others. To have succeeded is to have lived, as someone wanted; ' it is to have lived well and laughed
What is success? Success could be anything you have achieved or have done in your life. Some people measure success how much money they make. Others measure success how much they accomplished. My path of success is the most common and simplest, that gives a grasp on how to succeed.
Introduction: “There are people who have money and people who are rich” Coco Chanel, this saying has a lot of meaning behind it, and not everyone understands what it means to be successful, they sometimes mistake it with a persons monetary situation. What gets money is hard work, but success doesn’t mean being financially stable, it means reaching your goal, appreciating what you have, and loving yourself and your surroundings. Possessions don’t make you rich, riches come from life and what it has to offer. Some people live the happiest life without having any money because they appreciate what they have and who they have, and others live miserably with millions in their bank account. Money feeds the body, but success feeds the soul.

The idea of living well is a very broad statement. Living well, in my opinion is getting success in personal, social and professional life.
