Having strong feeling of support or allegiance towards someone; that’s the definition you’ll google to see. Although I accept the diluted version of the word, perhaps it’s much more to be said about its’ resilience and importance. If I had to express what loyalty meant to me I could talk nonstop. I could define this word with several different approaches including: character, friendships, family and relationships. Loyalty is mainly something that starts with yourself then disseminate amongst others as you grow up and create relationships with others. Loyalty is devotion. It should be the foundation for the creation of your character. Loyalty cannot be derived or hereditary. It is strictly something that you do; it’s an action. Words mean absolutely nothing when it comes to loyalty. It’s completely about staying true to yourself and others. Loyalty is the comfort of knowing that when someone leaves, they will …show more content…
Speaking for myself, I’m more concerned with who you are behind my back then who you are to my face. Loyalty could never be shown. It begins with you and your character. Loyalty can come in different forms, like a soldier and a servant. A soldier fights for what they believe in, yet; a servant can come in smaller packages such as dogs, parents, or protectors. Your loyalty cannot be bribed or tempted; it is precious in entirety. Loyalty is sometimes like a game. You see how everyone plays and what they are capable of every single day. Once you recognize those good qualities you want in your team, you begin to choose a team full of those good qualities. Your team may just consist of one or two players. Quality is better than quantity any day. Once you pick your team, you stay loyal to that team and never switch sides. The greater the loyalty is within your team, the greater the motivation is amongst the members to achieve the main goal, whatever that goal may
Loyalty is one of the ethics that is instilled in a person at a young age. Loyalty can range from loyalty to a family member, friend, teammate, ect. In Larry Watson's, Montana 1948, the summer of 1948 tests the loyalty of each character and is told through the eyes of a young boy, David. The picture was clear to David when Marie was Murdered. Through this tragic event David was able to read each family member determining whether they were loyal or whether they would betray.
A very obvious example of loyalty is, Penelope. She is faithful to Odysseus for over 20 years and does not give up for long time. Even when the suitors came to her house and ate her food and overstayed their welcome she did not budge and still stayed faithful to Odysseus for the whole time he was gone. She told the suitors that when she finished her tapestry she would choose who she wants to marry, but every night she would undo a piece of the tapestry just so it would take longer and it would give Odysseus more time to come back just so she would not have to choose one of the suitors.
Loyalty can be expressed in many ways whether it be by doing anything for someone else or just being very trustworthy person overall.
loyalty is one last reminder of what it is to love a man so evil.
Love is defined as a feeling of strong or constant affection for a person. Faithfulness is often defined as true to one's word, promises, vows, or being loyal. In Homer’s famous story, The Odyssey, Odysseus and Penelope show their true love for one another, and how a good marriage can stay together. In “Bound by Love and Disability, and Keeping a Vow Until the End” you can take away that Edwin and Noemi love each other dearly. Marriages do not always turn out the way you want, but true love can make good things happen.
T. H. White uses characters’ unbalanced loyalties to suggest that loyalty must by appropriately balanced between commitment to others and to one’s own judgment because one must make decisions that align with his own morals without hurting others.
Loyalty is one of the only things that can hold the bonds of family and friends.
In today’s modern society, loyalty is the devotion and faithfulness to a cause, country, group, and/or person. It’s a strong assurance of another person; whether it be in
Loyalty is the commitment based on obligation and when you stick with others even if you know it is the wrong choice. It is also the faithfulness to one’s friends, country, ideas, etc. Some famous quotes about loyalty are as follows.
Where one’s true loyalty resides is difficult to distinguish because of the trend of manipulation in this play. Antony, Brutus, and the majority of the other characters in this play, are secretive about their true intentions and overall loyalties. Antony pretends to be loyal to the conspirators when in fact he has always been loyal to Caesar, while Brutus pretends to be loyal to Caesar when he is in fact loyal to the conspirators. No character remains completely truthful which causes much confusion and many tragedies to occur. The characters in this play are all loyal to their own specific cause, and it is difficult to determine their true
Love is commitment. To love means to commit oneself without guarantee, to give oneself completely in the hope that our love will produce love in the loved person. Commitment can be called the backbone or building block of love. In other words, commitment is needed in order to build a stable and trusting relationship. Without commitment, love would not be able to grow and flourish. It can be extremely demanding on someone who isn't ready or sure that they want to commit to another person.
Loyalty is defined as a strong feeling of support or allegiance. I agree fully with this definition. Being loyal is one of the most important of th...
Commitment, or committed love, is for lovers who are committed to being together for a long period of time. Something
“As soon as the Cid caught sight of the King he ordered all his men to halt…He knelt down on his hands and knees on the ground and with his teeth he pulled up a mouthful of grass. With tears of joy streaming from his eyes he showed in this way his complete submission to his liege lord, Alfonso.” What would cause a grown man to act in such a manner? The Cid was the ruler of Valencia, and the leader of thousands of soldiers. The Cid has defeated countless enemies and have been victorious in all his wars, he could have been almost thought of as a man without fear. Yet, as soon as he caught sight of the King who has exiled him from his land, he broke down and acted like an animal in front of the King. The ‘loyalty’ and ‘respect’ the Cid has for King Alfonso is the deepest between any characters in the entire poem. Although loyalty and respect is the deepest between the Cid and King Alfonso, there is also a great amount of loyalty and respect among different characters also. Such as the Cid and his loyal vassal Minaya, the Cid to his wife Don Jimena, his two daughters Dona Elvira and Dona Sol, and the Cid to his army. Loyalty and respect are very important themes that progresses stronger and stronger throughout the poem, loyalty can do good and bad to loved ones, but in this poem, it eventually led to conflicts with severe consequences.
Love: What is it? Love, what is it? To many people love means many things. To others, to love is to place their happiness in one another. Others love can be how they feel about that special someone. I'm not talking about the fatherly love or that motherly love. I'm talking about the love that you feel towards someone. That special someone that you could possibly spend the rest of your life with. Webster defines love as a strong feeling of attraction resulting from sexual desire; enthusiasm or fondness. But to me love is not just a feeling, but it is the way that you treat that special someone that you care for. Treating them so kindly so they'll know you care and love them. Love in my eyes, is making that sacrifice for someone, knowing that you might regret it sooner or later.
