Freedom Have you ever wondered what freedom really means? I can tell you that I definitely have. Everyone has their own way to define freedom. I am going to tell you what I think freedom is. The United States of America has the freedom of speech, religion, and press. These are some of "the rights of life and liberty" (Franklin D Roosevelt). Others might argue that freedom is the right to do whatever you want at any time. If freedom was like some people think it is there would be no control or order in the country. Freedom is supposed to give you the right to give or suggest ideas. It is also supposed to let you dream and help make those dreams become a reality. There are also people from every continent living in harmony. The people who came to the United States had to have courage and faith just as much or even more than the founding fathers. People coming from different nations and continents will want to keep practicing their worship or religion, with freedom you are allowed to do so. Every culture should be respected but not all cultures are. They should all be valued for how diverse each one is. When people think freedom they probably think what an easy life, but that is not the case. Freedom does not come free! Being free is one of the hardest thing to earn. I see freedom like respect, it has to be earned. When the founding fathers of the United States were building this country I am pretty positive they had to work really hard to achieve their goal! As I said earlier freedom is the right to dream, in order to fulfill your dream you have to work hard to achieve it. Most people who really want something usually gain a knowledge on it. When you have knowledge on a certain subject you have a better understanding about that subject. Choosing an education your mentality will come to grow.

People should benefit from freedom, equality and justice. Absolute freedom is sometimes very dangerous and may destroy the basic principles of the society. A lot of people believe that freedom means doing whatever you want, whenever you want.
The notion of freedom can mean different things to different people, it all depends on the level of freedom you have over your own life. It could be freedom of speech, religious freedom, freedom of the press or even freedom of economy. However you see it they all seem to describe a sense of personal freedom, which no doubt everybody wants, but only some seem to have. No other democratic society in the world allows personal freedoms to the degree of the United States of America. They have been able to establish a set of legal rules that systematically protects all forms of freedom. Freedom remains the lone basis for American society as we know it. Without freedom the great nation of America would have never been created. Just as how the United States is seen by the American population to symbolise freedom and independence, it also stands to mean the same thing to many other countries around the world. Everyone has the right to life, liberty, and justice. Independence is granted by freedom in the sense that an outside party does not control you. To gratify ones desires by whichever ways they choose is freedom through indulgence. Privileges are g ranted through freedom. In some countries the dictator or ruler makes choices for their people on regards to what profession they shall have or to what religion they shall worship. In the United States we have special privileges that let the people of the country decide on their own religion and professions.
Some people are under rulers that do not allow these freedoms, some people live under rulers that encourage these freedoms. Everyone human being should be free, however some are not so lucky. In my opinion what it means to be free is several different things. One is your basic freedoms such as: being free to put on any kind of clothes, haircut, and we can say what we want at where we want to do it, just like President Roosevelt said, “The first is freedom of speech and expression” (Roosevelt, 275).
Freedom is the right to act, speak, think, or talk without restriction. Our country was built on the foundation of freedom and equal rights. We shouldn’t be told what to do or when to do it by the government or anyone else. Freedom means that we have the right to vote for who we want to be our leader - which is known as political freedom - and to be able to voice our own opinions without harm. The countries that do not have their freedoms can be defined as a dictatorship.
