Have you ever felt like you never wanted something to end? That feeling could possibly be the feeling of happiness. Happiness can not be described like other words. It is more complicated than just a simple sentence. Would a single sentence describe a person, with all their emotions and personal experiences? Just like people some words are complex and can’t be described by a concrete definition. These words are deeper, provoking thoughts and feelings to come to the surface. For me, happiness is more than simple words. Happiness is the joy of being with friends and family, seeing the joy in others, and being content with life.

Happiness is scientifically proven to infact be a real and natural feeling produced by the body, but it is up to your brain to make you feel. Every individual has his or her own emotions and way of thinking and as a result of this no one can really say what happiness is and what happiness is not. However, universally, happiness is a by-product of a healthy attitude and viewpoint. Happiness exists in everyone whether they choose to acknowledge and believe it or not. It is not rare nor is it something only the elite have: everyone has it but not everyone recognizes it. Contentment is finding a light at the end of every dark tunnel and in order to experience this we must ignore the pessimism surrounding us and remind ourselves that happiness is not a materialistic object but a choice and frame of mind.

In addition, Happiness is one of the best things people want to get in their life. How can we get the happiness in life? Someone think that when they have money, they can have anything include the happiness.
According to the Webster dictionary, the word happiness is defined as enjoying, showing, or marked by pleasure, satisfaction, or joy. When people think of happiness, they think about having a good feeling inside. There are many types of happiness, which are expressed in many ways. Happiness is something that you can't just get; it comes from your soul. Happiness can be changed through many things that happen in our everyday lives.
We want to be happy, and we can say whether we are or not, but can it really be defined, studied and measured? .When we define Happiness, “Happiness is a mental or emotional state of well-being characterized by positive or pleasant emotions ranging from contentment to extreme joy”. ( Peterson et al 2005). What make people happy?
Having a true friend that I can share my feelings with also makes me feel happy. Those examples indicate that happiness is a state of mind that includes emotions, pleasure, and satisfaction. Happiness is a psychological term that is hard to define since it is particular to each individual. However, we can define it as a psychological sense of life satisfaction, pleasure, and positive emotional condition. For some people, it is difficult to achieve happiness.
What does it mean to be happy? Happiness is a sensation that people want to have, and a lot of it. Above all else in the world, it’s what we seek and long for. Though this feeling can be found in many different places and at many different times, it isn’t easy to acquire. For some people, happiness might be found in exercise and sustaining good health. On the other hand, others can discover it when they go on vacation and relax. The idea here is that we each have our own things that make us happy.
We all can tell a story on something or someone that made us happy. It can occur in our childhood or adulthood, but as long as it’s a happy feeling it works. Happiness is life, without happiness you can’t do all the things you wished or lounge to do while being sad or depressed. According to an author named Aristotle (aim of man) “A thing is best understood by looking at its end, purpose, or goal”, is the key to being happy and full of life. First you have to find your life and knowledge to determine your happiness.
What is happiness? This is a question that has been asked since the beginning of time. We are never fully satisfied with various answers that have been provided for us. The reason might be that every person has a different perspective of happiness in life. Rain makes me happy but it does not mean that it makes everyone happy. There are some people who get depressed when it rains. Happiness is a state of mind that is not persistent as life is full of moments of joy, sadness, thrill, boredom and other emotions. My happiness score according to Authentic Happiness website was 2.88 but later when I retook it after focusing on being happy it increased to 3.44 from a scale of 5. So I can easily conclude that Happiness is something we have to work for moreover we can also increase our level of happiness. The three main factors that determine the degree of my happiness are helping others, being positive along with my family and friends.
But in this debate, one question still raises its head - What is happiness? Happiness is not actually leading a luxurious life, but the luxury of living a life. Happiness is not actually about expanding your business, but it lies in expanding the horizons of life. Happiness is not having a meal in the most famous restaurant, but having it with your most beloved family. It does not lie in attending honorable parties, but to attend a party with honor.
A smile, a laugh, a quick thought, starry nights, walking in warm rain storms, playing soccer, chocolate; these are all things that make me happy. It may be different for the person sitting next to me in my advanced composition class, but everyone feels it. Happiness is an emotion that is the product of an object or an event. It is something that makes a man in his years of aged wisdom stop, smile, and think of happy times. To me happiness is like a piece of chocolate, it is something that everyone wants, something that we sometimes have to work hard for, and something that is always worth the risk of acting in order to have it.
Happiness is a state of mind. The dictionary definition is "feelings of joy and pleasure mingled together”. A feeling of happiness is more than just an experience of joy or pleasure. It is a state of mind where the individual feels that “life is good”. One is abnormal if he prefers to be sad and alone.
Happiness is a feeling that cannot be broken if strong enough, no matter how much sadness or hate is around you.
