When I asked Kevin about his views and perspectives regarding what success requires, he stated that success involves being able to reach towards the end of one’s goals and accomplish them. Throughout the interview, Kevin claimed that an important aspect of success is establishing goals that pertain to what a person desires to pursue in the future. While being asked about what a key factor is in gaining success, Kevin stated that it is important to establish goals that pertain to what a person wants to pursue in the future, as well as getting closer to achieving the goals that they have set for themselves. This is an important aspect of reaching success because it allows the person to become familiar with what career or occupation they would like to pursue throughout their life, as well as the steps that they need to take in order to accomplish what they need to. For example, a person acknowledges that they are gaining success when they reach towards the end of the goals that they have established and have determined a career that they would like to pursue in the future. These factors allow the person to take part in what they truly desire to, as well as thrive throughout the
´´ If one advances confident in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life he imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours. ’’ These words were spoken by Henry David Thoreau.Success is within the mind of the individual. A large portion of one´s life is spent working to become successful. People are told throughout childhood to work hard so they can grow up and achieve all of their dreams. But success takes many different forms. Different people have different interpretations of what success means to them. It does not matter how related they are to each other in certain áreas they always have a different point of view of what success really is. For some success is measured by social status and wealth
Success is not earning a fat juicy check at the end of each month, or being a part of a large social group filled with fraudulent people that appear as familiar faces. But it is a person discovering him or herself after they had been lost and establishing a sense of purpose that makes them fills them with a warm glowing sense of accomplishment. Success does not have one transparent definition, it has various meanings depending on what success means to the individual trying to achieve it. Success is surviving.
Over thousands of years people have been driven by success, but what is success? Success to me is the ability to perform at your highest level in the path in life that you take. I believe that if you are not driven to be the very best at the things you do then it is not a calling. There are plenty of opportunities in life and you should take everyone you get. Success is a word that is on a broad spectrum, there is no single definition to the word. I define what success is for me. There is no set image of success, success is also constantly changing. The word success means achieving what I want to do in life, and to prosper in the situations my life has put me in.
One thing that everyone wants is success. Success is something anyone can achieve, if they put their best effort into it. Success is one of the most critical elements to so many events throughout someone’s lifetime. Although it may sound so simple to obtain, it can actually be difficult. The reason that it could be complex, is the fact that there are so many components to discover success.
Every day we study and work to seek success. Everybody want to be successful, but not everybody know how to achieve success. There are a lot of elements that affect success. Usually people think that success is come from individual thing, such as 10,000 hours of practice and motivation. Those factors are personal responsibility, they are the factors in people’s hand that can make success .Actually there are other factor that is outside of our control, but really affect our opportunities and success. According to Malcolm Gladwell, Carol Dweck and Daniel Pink; I found that these uncontrollable factors are ecology, growth mindset, Matthew effect and cultural legacy can have a positive effect on opportunities and success.
In current times, success seems to determine everything about an individual. One of the main reasons people go to school is to grow up and become successful. Success is the reason anyone does anything. Whether it be a small or large-scale success does not matter. A person might make a sandwich to succeed in fighting off hunger, or a basketball team might take time to watch more film and spend time together as a team to succeed in winning a championship. Either way success motivates people. The question that goes with it is, was I successful? If one says yes, then they ask why? The answer almost always includes some amount of preparation. Because a success without prior preparation is uncommon. No matter what, we humans strive
As I continue to grow and mature into a young adult, I have begun to realize that the word “Success” can have many different meanings. Depending on the person you’re discussing it with, they may see it differently than you do. The media and society have convinced us into accepting a misleading meaning of how success should be defined. Many people who are rich and seen as successful are often very stressed out and struggling with everyday life. Although, this is something that society often decides to look past because the rich are perceived to be very content and joyful with the way they are living their lives, almost as if they have nothing to worry about because of their success. When talking about success, people need to take into the account that the definition can have a variety of meanings, not only is success displayed from finances, but somebody could be considered successful for other things they do as well.
Success is within the mind of the individual. A large portion of ones life is spent working to become successful. People are told throughout childhood to work hard so they can grow up and make lots of money. But success takes many different forms. Different people have different interpretations of what success means to them. For some, success is measured by social status and wealth; for others success is determined only by the amount of happiness one feels.
Success is a term used by almost every individual person on this green and blue planet that we call Earth. Whether it is parents, college professors, teachers, bosses, co-workers, and inspirational speakers, they all apply this word to everyday life, however what does it truly mean? Success is a noun that, by definition, stands for “the accomplishment of an aim or purpose.” Although this is the official definition, society has a different definition for the phrase success. Society has defined the phrase success as being wealthy, having quite a few material items, having a stable well-paying job, and a healthy family as a side bonus. There are members of society
'One has achieved success who has lived well and laughed often.'; This quote seems to sum up what is meant by success. If you are able to laugh often and much then you have definitely achieved happiness. The idea of living well, though, is a very broad statement. In order, then, to define success in relation to this statement, we must first define what it means to live well. There are three levels of success, in my opinion: societal success, personal success, and academic or professional success. If someone can achieve all of these three levels of success, they are someone who has lived well.
Success only truly comes with being happy. Happiness and success are the accomplices of one another. Someone cannot have accompanies without the other. Happiness brings success, and success brings even more happiness. Success, in the dictionary, is defined as the achievement of something desired planned or attempted. Therefore, success cannot be judged by anyone than oneself. It is a personal thing. It is the realization of goals, desires or plans made by one 's self. It is not measurable and yet is something we always use to compare others or appraise someone 's worth. Success, in one form or another, is something that someone should always be striving for. For some people it is something they will do subconsciously, and for others it will be something they will constantly labor for. Because success is something that is different for everyone, it is best that they measure their personal success by their sense of self worth instead of others. To have succeeded is to have lived, as someone wanted; ' it is to have lived well and laughed
Ever since the times of the BC era, wealth had defined success (Definition of Success). A wealthy person of those times would be looked at as a superior being, they would be someone you’d show respect for. They were successful. Although that's the definition of success back then, does it mean something different now? Like every human being, and every past structure of society, the word evolves with time because society's’ values change. The definition of the word “success” was often considered as the achievement of wealth, but now it has become modernized to fit into today's society. Today, success is thought as an individual doing what makes them happy in life, generally doing their best, or even contributing positive things to the world to make it a better place (What does success mean).
Accomplishing your aim or purpose can be the true definition of success. You must want to achieve your goals at hand. You must want to earn everything. You really should put in the effort needed to become a successful person. Becoming a successful person requires you to be an extraordinary character. This means you have to be a very self-disciplined, competent, and trustworthy person. That allows you to become more trusted within the community and earn more respect. Learning from your mistakes is essential to your success. Every time you fail you become more knowledgeable on a subject. You can fail as many times as you want but eventually you will learn what is right from wrong. This will lead to you to become open minded and achieve success. You will have to put in the time and effort. Planning ahead allows you to have a schedule so you won’t be behind. If you have a plethora of skills, you will have a higher chance of success than other people. Skills allow you to qualify for certain positions and allow you to excel in what you need to. You can have time to achieve your goals and predict what else you need to do. Success can come in many ways including family, money, fame, respect, and achieving your goals. Is there someone you know that is wealthy and prominent? Do they demonstrate the characteristics of a successful person in today’s society? Media today has effectively convinced our society into accepting an untrue, even possibly hazardous definition of success. Even though Webster’s dictionary defines success as “achieving wealth, respect, and fame,” the definition of success is different for everyone. Society wants us to accept that having money, having big house, and owning multiple cars is the key to happiness, and henceforth, success. This is a lie; success is not having a large amount of money nor does it have to deal with fame.
There can be no success without goals or targets. This is because success is relative to a set target and whether we have achieved it, or at least making steady progress towards attaining it. For you to succeed, set a goal, a measurable target that represents what you envision: that is what you want or where you see yourself in future. A goal should be measurable so as to enable you to monitor your progress and help you know whether you are on track or you have gone off.
