Over many years, people around the world influence by the lifestyle of American. These people come to America in hopes of living in a better life. My parents came here for that exactly same reason because they want my siblings and I to have a better life and education. Do you ever have to make decisions that can change your life? For my families, it was a difficult decision because we have to leave everything behind to start a new life in strange place, name United States of America.
It's really difficult decision for my parents. We were not happy because we have to leave everything behind included our small house, family tradition, culture, and homeland, where we called home for years. My life had been changed since my family immigrated to United States, hopes for a better future and education. My parents said my life in Vietnam was hopeless, because the education was not good, result of disciplines, and hard to be successful. Not many teachers were helpful to students. I spent majority of time and lot of money for school, but learned nothing. Rather teaching students, teachers yelled at students just for a small mistake that he or she wasn’t intend to make. My classes were scheduled for the whole day without break. The same situation happened with my siblings. One day, my parents told me that we will be moving to America. After I heard my parents announced the new, I felt that my life soon will be changed and get a better education.
After spending two generations lived in Vietnam, my family moved to a totally different environment. There is less motorcycle, less screaming in market, less lousy noise from the streets, and less dangerous when you driving a car. It was like a completely different world. There will be tough times...

On the other hand, there is person who will blame others for something goes wrong. Therefore, we must have a clear mind and take seriously before making any decisions. We must think the best result before making it. In this universe, no one can possibly making all right decisions. There will be a few wrong decisions because we are human. We cannot be perfect. However, the important and matter is that person able to realized the mistake and learn what goes wrong. Everybody will be experienced after making their own decision. ... from previous experiences and bases future decisions on what they have experienced. When a person makes a decision that isn’t justified, they unknowingly change how they view future problems. If the decision has not been based in truth, it allows them a certain amount of unearned freedom to make wrong decisions, as opposed to when one make a proper decisions. It is crucial that every decision made is justified in order to keep their moral compass steady and to make the proper decisions when the choice is hard.
In Aria: A Memoir of a Bilingual Childhood, the author Richard Rodriguez argues that since there is a lack of bilingual education taught in American schools, many students face a loss of intimacy to their native language, leaving them identifiable-less. He makes this claim by expressing that although native language can cause divisions in communication, it is the basis structure to a person.
In the essay Public and Private language, Richard Rodriguez conveys how the English language changed his life and his relationships with others especially his family.
“Oh, it was a mistake.” People always say that, and a large number of people don’t learn from their mistakes. Same mistakes keep happening even though the world keeps on saying I promise. People just let things happen because they are selfish and full of greed. There is a book called “Night”.
...much as we claim to be grown we still make a lot of mistakes and when the opportunity to mess up presents itself we will probably take it without hesitation.
Most people I knew were surprised by this choice. Mostly, everyone who comes to study, stays back. I could not bring myself to stay back because I realized that I simply did not belong in America. As much as I had enjoyed staying there, I wanted to go back home, and there was only one place in the world I thought of as home; India.
A few months before all of this I was pleased with my calm life in a local city of Taiwan. I settled there at the age of two with my family, and things were going well so far. Because I lived there for ten years, the longest time that I ever spent living in one place, I had made really good friends and was not looking forward to any significant changes although my mom had told me a long time ago, we might move to USA to settle with our uncle and grandma. My mom also told me that the other reason we move is for a better education and life there but I was not listening at that time. I thought she was just joking around because my brother and I have always expected to have a vacation to other countries. By the time I finished my first year of middle school I knew that this was nearly impossible. My family was already packing up, cleaning out the house, and reserving four airplane tickets to USA.

At first, my very first experience in the United States is so bored, depressed, and hopeless. It was a new journey for me, I learn a language that I had never learned before, I get bullied just because I am the only one Asian who do not speak English. However, my life has become better when I realized that the “American Dream” is possible. Well, for me, the term “American Dream” is fitting for the one who attends at school, who has confidence and hard work. It might be a dream for my generation but not my parents. I saw my parents struggle to keep my brother and I fed. They worked more than two jobs, just to help us finish our education, paying our rent, and everything. I saw them suffer in tears, to sacrificed their future to let my brother and me to get a better education and opportunities to

Bilingualism The English language has grown to be the world’s most significant language and its increase to the status of globally spoken language must rank as one of the most significant facts in the educational times gone by of the twentieth century world. It is conceivably suitable, as the new millennium comes closer, that we ought to pause to reproduce on how English reached this point, what might take place next, and what it all means, both for those who converse English and for the large proportion of the world's inhabitants who do not. Uniformly, we need to think the insinuations of these changes on our own position as language education professionals. David Crystal's book, English as a Global Language, (Crystal, 1997) aimed to point out that “English became the world language not because of any intrinsic linguistic qualities, but because at significant moments in history it happened to be 'in the right place at the right time'”. "The Future of English?" (Graddol, 1997) suggests that “English is at a turning point in its development as an international language: it has become a global language at a time when the world itself is undergoing rapid change. Indeed, English is very much a part of the process of transformation, which is creating a more closely interconnected world in which people and machines talk easily to each other across vast spaces.” Reviewing Barbara Mayor and David Graddol, evident is the fact that there are two key indicators of this changeover point in the progress of English. First, the number of people speakers using English as a second language will rapidly outnumber those who articulate it as a first language. Secondly, it is obvious that added people learning English as a foreign language do so in ...
Everyone, at some point in their lives, has made a mistake. Sometimes we get lucky and only falter a little, making it through the problem relatively intact. Other times, we mess up a lot and have to fix what was damaged over a long period of time. However, the same is true for most, if not all cases—those who make the mistake learn from it. Often times, our failures teach us valuable lessons that we only gain because of the experience we gain after messing up.
