BRIEF SYNOPSIS A nurse and doll-maker, Fina (40), is a disturbed and troubled woman trying to come to grips with her past. She believes she’s helping others by ending their suffering. She’s a mercy killer trying to find a way to live in peace with the horrors that she has committed. She can’t undo them. Young Seri is trying to cope with the mysterious death of her baby brother Max. Her mother and father, Anna and Martin, try to reassure her that it’s not her fault. Seri lures him into the woods and he’s falls into a wolf’s snare, killing him. When her grandpa discovers that Georgie is dead, he suffers a heart attack and he also dies. Seri eventually admits that she might have killed her baby brother Max. It was Seri, who pulled the respirator off from baby Max as her mother slept. Lilah (17) hides behind a goth exterior. She lacks self-esteem. She lives in a foster home with another foster children Carly. Tragedy strikes when Carly is killed. Fina’s secret, tormented life is exposed when she “mercy kills” a young, dark-skinned girl at the hospital and leaves a syringe behind. Fina seeks answers from a Priest for her sins. She just wants her soul to have peace. Detective Engel eventually targets in on Fina. She tries to escape, but she falls from her the fire escape.
