There were many people killed in an unjust war between the U.S. and Mexico. The U.S. had a wrongful war with Mexico because of these three reasons: American troops invaded in undisputed land, which Mexico felt that their mobilization was a threat to Mexico, so it led them to killing American troops. Another reason why the war may have been unjust is because, when the U.S. stole land through the annexation of Texas. And the last reason is, with the win, United States would have expanded slaves through new land from the war. The first reason for why the war was unnecessary is, American troops invaded in undisputed land. And with the troops mobilization it felt as a threat to Mexico. As it states in Document C, “In the eyes of the (Mexican) government, the mobilization of the U.S. army was an outright attack on Mexico…”. The quote from Document C basically states when the U.S. army was moving in on Mexico’s territory the Mexican government felt that was an attack on Mexico. Therefore, the Mexican government rightfully retaliated and told the troops to protect the border.
