Daryl Dixon is just a guy trying to survive. Daryl grew up in an abusive home with a drunk
as a dad. His mother died in a house fire when he was a little boy, so Daryl took care of
himself most of his life. Daryl did have a brother named Merle Dixon but he was in and out of
jail his whole life and because of that Daryl was mostly alone. Eventually as a adult Daryl
would mostly just follow along with Merle, until the Zombie apocalypse decided to ruin the
world. in the beginning of the outbreak Daryl and Merle came across a group of survivors that
Daryl will be with for a while. Through out the Walking Dead series Daryl evolves from being
an introverted, tough, and kind of rude guy to a more social, caring, and courageous guy.

Daryl has a very tough exterior and interior in this series. He shows this trait in many ways throughout the Zombie apocalypse. An example of his toughness would be when Daryl fell down this rock incline and had one of his arrows go into his side.
Daryl still fought off
walkers(zombies) and climbed back up the rock incline with the arrow still in his side. I
personally think Daryl life as a kid is what made him so tough and why he had such a hard
exterior. This trait is indirect because its not verbally stated that Daryl is tough but everyone
picks up on it through his actions.
Brave is a very good word to describe Daryl Dixon. Daryl has had to be brave his whole life,
mostly at home when he was a kid but it has now carried through to the zombie apocalypse.
Daryl shows this trait in every episode of the Walking Dead. An example would have to be
when Daryl and Carol went looking for Beth in the dangerous city with the crazy cops housed in
the hospital with beth. This trait is indirect because its not stated but everyone knows that Daryl
Dixon is a brave guy. They know this because of all the things Daryl has done to protect the
group he is with.
Daryl is a very caring person. He doesn't really like to show this side of him. I think he
doesn't want to let anyone in because of the fear of getting hurt or shut out. Daryl also is not

use to anyone caring or acting like they care about i'm so he thinks he needs to do the same to others. An example of Daryl being caring would be when he went out looking for Carols missing daughter Sofia even though he didn't have to.
This trait would be both indirect and direct
because Carol does tell Daryl that he is caring but you can also tell he is caring by the things he
does throughout the series.
Daryl is definitely a dynamic character. He changes throughout the Walking Dead series.
He starts to open up more and more throughout their survival together. In the beginning Daryl
acted kinda rude and very introverted toward the other group members. One of his main
problems was he didn't know how to express himself to others or basically just didn't know
how to be a peoples person. Over time you can tell how Daryl is evolving. He starts to be
more close to the group members and actually talking with them. He even considers Rick as a
brother figure to him.
It is really important in analyzing the characters. It helps you understand the characters
more. you will most likely know why they did something. There actions will make more sense
to you if you know the character. An example would be when Carol went to go touch Daryl
and he flinched. Since daryl Grew up in an abusive home he’s not use to being touched or
people showing emotion towards him. If you knew that information you would understand why
he
flinched. Daryl is tough because he can take pain and not whine. He is brave because he will do anything to protect the group.Daryl really cares for his group members and he thinks of them as family so that makes him very caring. The things Daryl has done throughout the series has proven how caring, tough, and brave he is. I think The Walking Dead would be nothing without Daryl Dixon.

The reason Holden has a hard time talking to people about his feelings is because in the time period he lives in people have a stereotypical image of not sharing emotional feelings with others. Losing his brother, Holden has to adjust to keep his composure without having the direct outlet of Allie to comfort
I think that his trauma was ultimately the cause of Holden’s emotional breakdown, along with his evident depression.
it is inevitable that he will grow up. Holden is put in a psychiatric hospital.
Holden’s life went through a major change at the age of 13 when his younger brother, Allie lost his battle to Leukemia. Holden fondly speaks of his red headed brother in the
Holden is intelligent and sensitive, but his thoughts and feelings are full of cynicism and negativity. He sounds bored and tired with almost everybody and everything. Holden constantly focuses on the hypocrisy and social rules of the world around him, and judges them to be oppressive and phony. Holden uses his cynicism and negativity to distance himself from almost everyone. However, Holden has good memories and thoughts about his younger sister, Phoebe, and of his younger brother Allie, who died a couple of years ago.
Another important scene is when Holden says, “…I kept walking and walking up Fifth Avenue… Then all of a sudden, something very spooky started happening. Every time I came to the end of a block and stepped off the goddam curb, I had this feeling that I’d never get to the other side of the street. I thought I’d just go down, down, down, and… Every time I’d get to the end of the block I’d make believe I was talking to my brother Allie.
gets beat up, goes through a breakdown, and gets very sick. Another trait Holden has is
Season 1 of The Walking Dead, has a divers group of characters. The evolution of personality and moral responsibility will shift within a person or group in accordance to the “survive or die” scenario during a zombie apocalypse. Culminating a group of diverse abilities is essential to surviving. The main theme in the show is one of survival, the dead are walking all around them, but they are not necessarily the main problem. The battle over adversity is much more prevalent than just fear of dying. The characters are forced to realign a civilization around a new obstacle, yet essentially it is not much different than everyday life. The main issue is finding a group that can survive on skill alone instead of money or material things. They must also keep in mind that the dead are not the only threat in their existence.
ambiguity of life. Holden develops a lot from being the cynical teen who tries to act
During his psychological battle, life continues on around Holden as it always had, with the majority of people ignoring the 'madman stuff' that is happening to him -until it begins to encroach on their well defined social codes.
Throughout six seasons of AMC’s ongoing hit show The Walking Dead, Rick Grimes, the main protagonist, has grown from: a tough guy police officer with a soft heart for helping others (almost always coming with a great personal risk) to the ultimate leader and survivor. Rick’s character arc during the first five seasons of the show, were about the ongoing growth/development of Rick, along with little benchmarks along the way in the form of gruesome but necessary murder. During Rick’s character arc, he goes through three major phases that reflect his morals and view of the world. These changes are then highlighted by the various brutal gory kills Rick has achieved. We as viewers get an in depth look at this gradual evolution as he fights to survive
Overall, Daryl is another heroic figure in The Walking Dead. With his adept skills in surviving and hunting, Daryl eventually becomes a valued and respected member. Despite his hateful feelings toward Rick, for leaving his brother behind, Daryl is able to get along with Rick and establish a friendly attachment toward the group. Perhaps, the absence of Merle had led Daryl to find new light and friendship with the other fellow survivors.
sympathy, he simply tells it like it is. Holden is a real character, created by a man
The Walking Dead, a television show about surviving in the zombie world, is based on the comic book with the same name created by Robert Kirkman. In this show Rick Grimes, a sheriff's deputy, awakes from his coma and finds himself in a hospital. He soon discovers that while he was in a coma the world had become infected, turning humans into flesh-eating zombies later called Walkers by the characters. As Rick sets out to find his family he encounters many other survivors such as Glenn, Daryl, Carl, Maggie, Carol, Sasha, Hershel, Beth, and Michonne, among many others who have died along the way. Rick and the survivors have been through a lot throughout the show, such as having to move from place to place to avoid being eating by walkers. After walking a longs way, they finally find shelter in an old prison where they now live. Although The Walking Dead shows a lot violence, it sends many positive messages to the viewers that teach them about survival, religion and betray and how each of these can be beneficial in the real world
