My research of Darwinian evolution has led me to believe that there is little room for spirituality of any kind in a truly rigorous scientific theory of the origin of life. This is disconcerting, to say the least. Obviously we have outgrown a strictly creationist lens, but has religion become completely obsolete? Does spirituality have a real place amongst the scientific tenets of evolutionary theory, or is it merely a crutch that we lean on? Can God and Darwin co-exist?
The constantly mounting collection of evidence for evolution by natural selection is almost impossible to ignore. However, there is a neo-creationist school of thought, called "intelligent design," attempting to modernize the concept of a God to fit the challenge presented by a Darwinian explanation of life. Proponents of this theory, such as Michael Behe, claim that the cellular structures and pathways in living organisms possess "irreducible complexity," meaning that minus any one component, they become functionless. This implies that these components could not have evolved in a step-by-step process, but would all have to be present simultaneously. Cilia and blood-clotting are commonly cited examples. Taken a step further, irreducible complexity can also be applied to complex organs, such as the eye, and complex behaviors, such as flying. How could they have evolved in gradual increments, with each one providing an adaptive advantage? Evolutionary theory according to Darwin is certainly not a complete and irrefutable account of the origin of life. In many instances, the door has been left open and the explanation remains unresolved. Additionally, the claims of Behe, and other natural theologists, are not just religious superstition anymore. Their interpreta...

...und here on Earth. However, Darwin's theory alone seems to be an inadequate interpretation of the entire scope of life.
My thoughts on religion changed significantly as I researched the creationist perspective on evolution. I am not at all convinced by the intelligent design hypothesis, despite the fact that natural theology has become a great deal more sophisticated since Genesis. In a way, I agree with evolutionists who claim that until the existence of God can be proven, no creationist theory will hold water against Darwin. It's frightening to abandon the idea of a higher power, but after reading several creationist texts, I question His place in the scientific community.

Viola Gregg Liuzzo, the eldest daughter of a coal miner and a teacher was born in California, Pennsylvania on April 11, 1925. Due to the Great Depression the family moved to the South, first settling in Georgia then eventually moving to Tennessee where Viola’s mother Eva Gregg, would secure a teaching position. During Viola’s childhood, the family continued to move around in the southern states, never staying in one place to allow her to complete a full year of schooling in one location. Against the parent’s better judgment she was allowed to discontinue her education in the tenth grade and would soon marry her first husband of one day at the young age of sixteen. The family would move to Michigan during World War II where Viola would soon meet and marry her second husband, George Argyris, in 1943. Soon after she would meet her life long friend Sarah Evans, an African American woman, with whom she shared a mutual background of a southern childhood. Six years later, the couple would divorce and in 1951 she would marry the union organizer for the Teamsters, Anthony James Liuzzo and have three additional children.
The claims of rationality and the so-called scientific approach of the atheists and agnostics have been debunked. In the coming pages we shall see that both in the creation of the universe, in things created within the universe and in the creation of living beings, an intelligently designed process is going on, and we shall demonstrate that the objections of agnostics and skeptics to this assertion are merely delusions.

Multiple surveys have proven that 65% of the most ridiculous mistakes made by an adult were made in their teenage years. Adolescents are known to make mistakes, but when punished correctly, instead of repeating, they learn. Most people believe the harsher the punishment the less likely a child will act out again, but through research and analysis of the brain this was proven to not be true. When a teenager goes as far as committing a crime, judgement should still be based on the fact that he or she is still a minor. As a juvenile, doing something wrong , no matter the severity, should be resulted in a punishment that requires them to learn from their mistakes. Charging them as an adult does not have the same effect as sending away an adult to do jail time.

Call of Duty’s fourth installment “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare” was released in 2007 for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. At the time, nobody would have expected the game to get very far due to Halo’s reign over the FPS genre. However, to many people’s surprise, Modern Warfare took the market by storm, rivaling Halo. This was part due to Cod’s innovative multiplayer, which included multiple arcade-like features to keep players interested in playing for hours on end. Cod also appealed to many gamers and non-gamers by making gameplay an easy-to-play experience. This of course allowed thousands of inexperienced gamers to have fun playing Cod without the stress of a skill based multiplayer, such as Halo’s. Increasing in popularity, a new Cod installment was to be released every year following Modern Warfare to rake in the cash and to make the game’s reputation more prominent. This is how Cod became the juggernaut it is today.
This essay seeks to demonstrate that juveniles, persons who have not reached the age at which one should be treated as an adult by the criminal justice system (16 in NYS), charged with violent felonies, a series of unlawful crime punishable by imprisonment from more than one year to death (murder, rape, arson, and burglary), ought not to be treated as adults in the criminal justice system because this will lead to more acts of violence against juvenile offenders by both adult offenders and themselves. Three argume...

Are juveniles as under control today as they were in the past? Crime plays a major role in today’s society. The government follows the policy and has always followed the policy that no crime goes unpunished. The controversy that surrounds the United States courtrooms today is whether or not a minor needs to stand trial as an adult for committing a serious offense. These decisions made by the judge or jury in the preliminary hearing affect the rest of the suspects life. The opposing argument to the issue of juveniles being tried as adults remains that the minor is too young and immature to understand the consequences of what he or she did wrong. Juveniles need to be punished according to the severity of the crime in which they committed. Ultimately, juveniles should stand trial as adults.
“Many people in the world believe juveniles are mentally conscious of their actions’’. Possibly knowing right from wrong; they should be punished as an adult. Often times crimes they commit affects and hurt the families of their victims. I strongly believe juvenile offenders should be charged as an adult despite their age.
Evolution views life to be a process by which organisms diversified from earlier forms, whereas creation illustrates that life was created by a supernatural being. Creation and evolution both agree on the existence of microevolution and the resemblance of apes and humans but vary in terms of interpreting the origins of the life from a historical standpoint. A concept known as Faith Vs Fact comprehensively summarizes the tone of this debate, which leads to the question of how life began. While creation represents a religious understanding of life, evolution acknowledges a scientific interpretation of the origins of life. The theory is illustrated as the process by which organisms change species over time.
Golf is a lifelong sport. It is an activity that anyone can pick up and learn at almost any age. I was lucky to have been exposed to the world of golf at a very young age. From the time I was a toddler my parents would allow me to tag along with them for a round of nine holes at some of Cleveland’s finest public courses. While some of my teammates learned to play golf at country clubs with a small set of Callaway’s, I was fundamentally educated on how to grip the club and keep my head still by my parents, using my mom’s nine iron and putter. Once I developed a genuine interest in improving my game, I took lessons from various local pros and attended OGGF Sunday clinics at West Pines range and group lessons at Avon Oaks. By the time I reached
