Dangerous Games and Unprotected Sex Among Teenagers

Children, teenagers, and even adults at times, are known to engage in some fairly dangerous behaviors. Children and teens appear to be in these situations more so than others. Many people have opinions as to why this is. Some say they don’t know any better and that’s how they learn. Others say it’s due to where their brain is developmentally. This paper will begin by briefly looking at what some of these behaviors are and the various reasons behind there occurrence. The main behavior that will be focused on is auto erotic asphyxiation. We’ll start with some of the behaviors. Risky Choices On occasion there are behaviors that we blame on kids for coming up with, but sometimes they are introduced into their lives via adults. The game “Chubby Bunny” is a perfect example of this. Chubby bunny was a popular game to play in church youth groups. It involves seeing who can have the most marshmallows in their mouth while still being able to say “chubby bunny.” However, this game isn’t the best choice as it can easily result in some one choking. Sadly this “game” that teens will play has ended in death.9 Another one of these behaviors in general is unprotected sex. This one behavior can lead to many other results. Some accidental, but others, though they can also at times be considered accidents, could be incredibly intentional. For example, teen pregnancy; this can very much so be an accident, but there are also times were its intentional. In some cases it’s a girl’s way to stay in a relationship, others it’s because she wants a child, and there are times where both feel they’re ready to raise a child.
