The 1-0 Dallas Cowboys will travel to Philadelphia on Sunday afternoon to face the 0-1 Eagles at 3:25 CT. A rivalry game between both teams. This will be ex Dallas Cowboys DeMarco Murray’s first game against his former team. So you know Murray will be looking to have a good game against his former teammates. The Cowboys will be with Dez Bryant, and Randy Gregory who both got hurt in the Giants game last Sunday night. This will be a hard fought game between both teams but I’m going to give you five reasons why I think the Philadelphia Eagles should lose.
Since the Cowboys would be facing the Eagles on Sunday I took it upon myself to watch the game between the Eagles and Falcons on Monday night being that we play both teams in these next two
weeks. The Eagles secondary is still very weak. They signed Byron Maxwell from Seahawks thinking he will be the shutdown corner they’ve been looking for. Well Atlanta’s WR Julio Jones torched this secondary all night long. Jones caught nine passes 141 yards and two touchdowns. Byron Maxwell allowed 10-11 179 yards and 1 TD= 149.1 passer rating. The Falcons wide-receivers were able to get open pretty much all night long. Even though the Cowboys will be missing Dez Bryant I still believe Terrence Williams, Cole Beasley, Jason Witten, Lance Dunbar can do some damage against this secondary, along with Joe Randle, and Darren McFadden catching passes out of the backfield. What I noticed the Falcons doing was getting their quick fast guys in open space because the Eagles were struggling to keep up along with missing tackles, then I started to think that these coaches could do the same thing with Beasley, in addition to Dunbar because they’re so explosive in open space, and will give you a good amount of YAC (yards after catch). I expect the Eagles to bracket Witten with double teams in order to take him out of the game without Dez being in the lineup so these receivers should have one on one matchups that they have too, and should win. All they have to do is run their correct routes be where they’re supposed to be at, and the ball will find them because Romo spreads the ball around too different receivers. Eagles had a hard time stopping the run. Falcon’s rookie RB Tevin Coleman had 20 carries 80 yards. By having positive runs the Falcons were able to keep Eagles defense honest. The run game helped open up the passing game and the passing game helped open up the running game. It looked like the Falcons were running downhill right at the Eagles. As Jordan Ross pointed out above Eagles defense didn’t get much pressure on Matt Ryan, and the Falcons have a patch work offense line. With Cowboys offensive line look for them to run the ball a lot this game. I could see them using Randle in the zone blocking run plays because of his vision, and once he sees the hole he hits it and then with McFadden run some stretch plays to try get him open in space because we’ve seen that the burst is still there with McFadden who also can run in between the tackle/guard effectively. Cowboys should be able to control the clock with the running game while gaining positive yards each series
“The Green Bay Packers are a non-profit corporation held by the citizens of Green Bay to run it’s football team”,who I think are the best, arguably are the most storied franchise in the National Football League, were organized on Aug,11, 1919, in the dingy second-floor editorial rooms of the old Green Bay Press-Gazette building, located on Cherry Street in downtown Green Bay. Never imagining what might become of the semipro football team being formed that day, nobody documented who was there or how many were on hand. There had been no announcement of the meeting beforehand, and the Press-Gazette provided no details about it the day after.Whether a full complement of players attended or if it was simply a
America’s Team Will the real “America’s Team” please stand up? This term is widely used throughout the media when referring to the Dallas Cowboys. “America’s Team” was first coined some 40 years ago while introducing them for a feature film by the legendary sport writer Bob Ryan. In the following years, because of their success and mass media exposure they were a team that America as a nation could identify with ,so the name stuck. The Cowboys since those days has regressed into a very mediocre team who only looks for moral instead of actual Super Bowl victories.
Since 2005 the Philadelphia Eagles have saved 3 million dollars because of the environmental work they have done and 100 percent of their energy comes from reusable sources. ("Smarter Business: Greening the Games") To start off, most NFL teams have charities and donate to charities, especially the Philadelphia Eagles. Also, they help out with the environment. Teams have a special way to pick players around the league and in the draft for their team. To add to that, NFL teams and especially the Eagles keep a close eye on the player's health and how to keep them healthy. I want to start an NFL team and have the franchise based on the Philadelphia Eagles. There are many cities in the U.S. that are suitable for teams and there are a lot of things
and lose to Dallas Cowboys by the score of 28-0. The Rams win their 7th
When managers seek to improve their sport organization often times they refer to SWOT. SWOT is an acronym which stands for strength, weakness, opportunity, and threat. These four areas are tools used to address and fix any issue that an organization may have internally or externally. The Dallas Cowboys are an NFL team that uses these four categories to address any issues they may have in order to improve any imperfections for the betterment of their Franchise.
no one comes out a head and in the ravens story the eagles seem to come out satisfied, although
In the past few years, the controversy over Native American and other racial sport names or mascots have become an uproar. The main sport teams that are being targeted due to controversial mascots are programs having names dealing with Native Americans. Many teams are well known programs such as the Atlanta Braves, Cleveland Indians, and the Washington Redskins. The Redskins are receiving the most heat from racial groups. According to Erik Brady of USA Today “The volatility surrounding such names has amped up in the year since Daniel Snyder, owner of Washington's NFL club, told USA TODAY Sports that he'd never change his team's name: ‘NEVER — you can use caps.’” (3). However, professional teams are not the only teams receiving negative remarks,
Clint Murchison, Jr. and Bedford Wynne were awarded a National Football League (NFL) expansion franchise on January 28, 1960, located in Dallas, TX. At the annual meeting, they purchased the team for $600,000 (Bohls 1). They were given the status of a “swing team” meaning that they would play every other team in the league their first season of play. They were displaced in the Western Division Standings. Murchison’s and Wynne’s next moved was to high their front office personnel which were: Tex Schramm (General Manager), Gil Brandt (Director of Player Personnel), and Tom Landry as Head Coach. In the beginning there were called the Dallas Steers, then after a couple of weeks the name was changed and there were called the Dallas Rangers. That name was short-lived as well, as it conflicted with a baseball team that was in the city. Then they finally decided to name the team the Dallas Cowboys to keep the confusion down (Fleming 1).
players around the NFL. The number of athletes that protested would increase from a couple on each team to nearly all of them. With the only exception being, the Dallas Cowboys. Who as a team took a knee prior to the anthem, but would all stand during it. This was due to the owner Jerry Jones why has said that no player will sit or take a knee on his team or he would cut them, but more on that later. Then there was one other person that would not join his team in protest. That person was Pittsburgh Steelers player Alejandro Villanueva. Who is a former United States Army Ranger.
Dallas cowboys are among the top ranking professional American football sports franchise in the world. They play in the eastern Division of National Football League (NFL). The owner of the Dallas Cowboys is Jerry Jones. They have a great fan following not only for their performance but for their pregame, in game and post game activities as well. They have many large fan communities. One of them is “blogging the boys”. They have their fan communities in every city and country of the world. They provide best entertainment before and after the game to their fans. They have the largest domed stadium facility complete with a retractable roof.
Dallas has been spoiled with unmatched consistency in the kicking game for the 7 years that Bailey has been with the team. This season, so far, he has a perfect record with 7/7 field goal and 16/16 extra points. The Boys’, two games behind in the NFC East, are in desperate need of a winning streak in the coming weeks.
The very vast and dominating history of the Pittsburg Steeler made it very interesting to write this paper on their large fan base. The Pittsburg Steelers where founded in 1933 making the city complete with 3 teams in the hierarchy: Pittsburgh Pirates, and the PITT Panthers. In the beginning they looked like a joke at times compared to the present day Cleveland Browns. This was until the hiring of head coach Chuck Noll in 1969 and the drafting of future Hall Of Fame Defensive Tackle “Mean Joe” Greene. The fan base started to sky rocket during the 1970-1980; this team won 4 Superbowls in the 1970 alone. But in the early 1980 the steel mill in Pittsburgh closed this meant that people had to leave to find new jobs. This is how the now known as Steelers Nation how so big because the workers of these steel mills moved and so did their passion for the team.
On the plane ride home and in the airport I was still thinking about the game. The Carolina Panthers had blown out the Buccaneers by 30 points! Cam Newton scored 3 touchdowns himself! I was still excited about the whole game until I fell asleep in the
Thus, besides the addition of an evening game in 2006, NFL football on Thanksgiving has largely remained the same for decades. In that time, it’s become a hallmark of the holiday, especially for its home cities, as the Lions website attests, though the sentiment is certainly true for the Cowboys as well.
Following one’s hometown team or childhood NFL team through the regular season, playoffs, and hopefully, the Super Bowl has become a staple of today’s culture. Whether or not their favorite team makes it to the big Super Bowl game, they still find themselves cheering on one of the teams competing. This is even the case for non-football fans.... ... middle of paper ... ...
