Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Lucky Whitehead has had his NFL contract terminated after being falsely attached to a shoplifting crime in June. Reports emerged on Tuesday that he had missed a court hearing relating to a case in which he had stolen $40 worth of goods from a Virginia convenience store in June. Players like Lucky are being falsely accused everyday. The NFL needs to update their fine policy. Offensive holding is the most fines and penalties given a year, the lineman are just trying to make a hole or protect their quarterback. “Since 2009, about $4 million a year has gone to help former players” (). The fines and appeals made by the NFL are too strict. Tom Brady got a 4 game suspension and the cost of it is $235,000.

The owner of the Dallas Cowboys is Jerry Jones. They have a great fan following not only for their performance but for their pregame, in game and post game activities as well. They have many large fan communities. One of them is “blogging the boys”. They have their fan communities in every city and country of the world. They provide best entertainment before and after the game to their fans. They have the largest domed stadium facility complete with a retractable roof.
Going to a Carolina Panthers football game and it was great! I used sight, hearing, smelling, feeling, and tasting when I went. Out of all the NFL games I have been to, this was by far my favorite. There was so much to do when I went there.
The NFL has multiple reasons for maintaining a tough drug policy. Former NFL Commissioner Pete Rozelle stated that serious health problems occur for players who abuse drugs. Additionally, since the NFL is a billion dollar business, they have an interest in maximizing productivity from its players and alcohol abuse hinders that. It says in the Marquette Sport Law Journal, “The league has an interest in protecting the safety of all players” (Sisson and Trexell 11). Players who abuse alcohol or any drug for that matter put themselves and other players at risk. In 2012, Dallas Cowboy defensive tackle Josh Brent killed his teammate while driving under the influence of alcohol. He was released by the team three weeks after the incident and does not play in the NFL anymore. There are numerous incidents of players getting into trouble because of alcohol.

In my 8 or so years of playing football I’ve often heard coaches liken the job of the linemen to that of a soldier fighting in a trench, pushing, attacking, and struggling for every inch of the battlefield that is the line of scrimmage. Of course, the job of a lineman is far less dramatic and glorious than that description makes it out to be, most of our job is just keeping the defense at bay so the quarterback and the rest of the backfield has time to get a play off. Unfortunately for us offensive linemen, the defense has a much larger bag of tricks when it comes to the actual clash, they can grab, pull, or simply spin by while the O-line is relegated mostly to pushing with shoulder and hand.
