Daily Motivation: The Truth About No Excuses
Hey Ladies,
I hope you 're having a fantastic day getting the things done that you want to do today, enjoying your day if it 's a day of fun, or if you 're doing work, hopefully you 're accomplishing the things that you 've set out to do today.
No Excuses Is Easy to Say
Today I want to talk about no excuses. Yes, it 's easy to say, we have a #noexcusesnevergiveup but the truth is we often make excuses about the things that we want to do or the goals that we 've made or the things that we want to accomplish. And the reality is maybe we think that we’re giving an excuse to a person that maybe we made a promise to but the real person that were hurting is ourselves.
Breaking Our Promises With An Excuse
We’ve promised ourselves that we were going to do something and we 're breaking accountability and trust with ourselves when we don 't follow through with that goal or the thing that we 've set out to do.
Do You Really Trusting Yourself?
If you 've made lots of goals for your progress and you 've made excuses and you haven 't met those goals, do you really trust yourself?
How much do you trust yourself nowadays?
We can fool other people, we can fool ourselves but we can 't really fool ourselves subconsciously.
We actually know that we haven 't achieved that, which we set out to and accomplish what we put out in front of us.
It 's okay that we’ve done that; we all make excuses, we 've all failed, and the great thing about failing is that it gives us something to learn from it.
Learning From Your Failures
Hopefully we learn from our experience or we gain something even when we fail.
Today I want to talk about making no more excuses for yourself.

It 's all about building trust that you 're going to follow through and do the things that you told yourself that you were going to do.
That 's really what no excuses is really about.
In the end it doesn 't really matter what other people think of you, the things that you told other people that you were going to do, “I 'm going to lose 10 pounds this month.” They really don 't care. It 's great yes, and they 're going to cheer you on to that but it 's really important to keep the promises that you made to yourself.
That 's the big takeaway for today; setting a goal even if it 's small, following through, and making yourself believe that you 're going to do what you said you 're going to do.

We were not born with the ability to do everything and we must allow ourselves to take our lessons as we go and learn from them. In my life there are many things that I have learned, whether it be from the trial and error of working on vehicles to me submitting an uncited English paper. We are taught from the moment we are born what failure is, we are asked to do things as simple as to say a word and we are told that is not correct. Even though that example is in the context of teaching, we still are being taught what it feels like to be told we are doing something wrong. Failure is something that we become so familiar with it becomes a natural view, seeing someone attempt to throw paper in the trash and they miss; fail or a failure as big as Chernobyl and everything in between, we are immediately taught to look down on what falls into the category of

When I speak of failure, I speak of putting one’s entire being into attempting a specific task and still not being capable of accomplishing it. Before I took my driver’s test, I practiced driving to and from school almost every day with my mom. When I actually took the test, however, I hit a cone trying to parallel park. A feeling of absolute devastation washed over me, as it began to dawn on me that I would not be showing off my new license to my friends the next day. Upon further introspection, however, I came to the conclusion that there was no one to blame other than myself; and that I may have not prepared for the test as much as I should have.
Determination, the strive to come out on top. The compulsion to reach your goal. For me, failure is not an option. Being adequate is not one either. You either have your game face on or you do not. If one sets his goals high, it will help him discover what he is really capable of doing. If one’s goals are low, he will never know what he is capable of doing. For example, Bill Gates is the founder of Microsoft, and he earns copious amount of money every day. If he stops working and completely shuts down his company, he can still spend one million dollars a day and continue that for 735 years without running out of money; however, he still chooses to work every day. He could have stopped years ago thinking I have done enough, but he chose to keep working; now, the result is in front of us. Because of his high goals, he has made the world an easier and a faster place with his amazing technology. Another example is Alexander the Great, a man who had very high goals, and his goals made him the great leader that people know today. He was from a small place which was known as Macedonia, but his goals helped him conquer most of the known world. If he had not dreamt of such goals, we would have never had such a great leader. In fact, Alexander the Great once said, “There is nothing impossible to him who will try,” meaning that there is no such thing as an “impossible goal.”
When you keep the commitments you make with yourself, one of the greatest benefits, which will flow to you, as a result of acting on great ideas when they come to you, is a feeling of contentment and satisfaction. How great do you feel when you keep commitments you make with yourself? The art of self-discipline breeds, self-worth, which in turn helps you to feel better about yourself and your self-esteem, improves too. Sometimes achieving goals can be hard for me when other things step into my path and I focus on that more than what I am trying to achieve. I have not achieved any of my goals ranging from eating healthier to learning how to play guitar. When trying to achieve the goal of eating healthier McDonalds sounded much better than healthy food. Also, trying to play the guitar was great until I just gave up because I did not see any progress. I know I could have achieved these goals if I strived harder to make these goals happen.

My experience with goal making has always been a rough affair. The goals were not a source of motivation or inspiration for me. Instead the goals were a one-time action and were never to be found again once written down. It is not that I did not want to succeed in my goals or get the satisfaction of completing my goals, it is simply that my goals did not fit my specific needs and were not easy to follow. It is only now that I realize my goals were far from specific and measurable, realistic and challenging, and within a timeframe. Within this framework for goals my goals can become more inspirational to me and become a part of my life rather than a passing event in my life.
This was the lesson I learnt from my father, an unceasing learner and a person who would never give up no matter how many and how difficult the obstacles may be. Having understood from him that success is a moving target, the years of my life with my family have inculcated in me a desire to achieve perfection.
In setting a goal, you set up a grand goal and then you break it down into smaller goals. This helps you to further monitor your progress on a smaller scale and helps you stay motivated and focused because each time you achieve one of the smaller goals, it keeps you inspired to achieve the grand goal. Set goals that are definite with a well-known target to achieve, always giving yourself a specific time-stamped to achieve your goals. However, ensure that your goals and time lines set are realistic otherwise you will end frustrated chasing castles in the
