CANDY : I will started with Candy. The basic characteristic is that he was very old man with one hand. „The doors opens with his left hand“. At the ranch he is sweeper,he was afraid of boss. and he is living with his lovely old dog, but not everybody was too tolerant for him so one of the character shoot him..Candy was really sad about the fact, that someone else shoot his dog . He was thinking that he is not usefull in the ranch so he decides to be with George and Lennie and with them dreaming about their own farm. Candy was every month giving them Money for becoming their dream true. CROOKS : In the ranch we getting know some other character and his name is Crooks. First thing first he was a black guy and he is got something with his spine. …show more content…

Spine was pretty deformities which means he is the weaker. In this century was problem with the black guys, The Ku Klux Klan and this comunnity. So in the story he could not be with others, he could not play a cards. He would like to connect with George and Lennie now also Candy but he knows that is imposible. CURLEY : The son of a boss named Curley.

Agressive „Curley lashed....getting into it for?“. From the story one of the negative character at all. Rasist. Short guy , former fighter always starting the fight with the weaker ones. He s got also a wife, she is younger than him. Her dream is to be an actress LENNIE : Finally, main character. Analysation, very strong man .His nickname is big babo. He is got problem with understanding some things,helpless and also somehow he is retarded. Lennie s so absessed with touching soft and fluffy thing. For example animals , when he trynna to petting some, it always end up with dead next dress,dogs and hair. The main problem is that he does not know how to control his force. His dream is to have an own farm with bunnies, he loves them because they are fluffy and soft. Best friend of Lennie is deffinitely George. SLIM : Faitfull. „You guys.....confidence without demanding it“.From this quoation we can see that he was really good listener CURLEY ‘S WIFE: Was with Curley because she does not wanna stay live in her country. In the story we can see that she is looking and acting like she is cheating his husband Curley. In my opinion Candy,Lennie and Crooks had the same issue. Crooks also feels a great deal of loneliness, as he is an outcast on the ranch. He lives in his own room where hardly anybody ever bothers him. He is never invited to play cards or do anything fun with the other guys. One day a curious Lenny asked, “Why ain’t you wanted?” Crooks replies “Cause I’m black. They play cards in there, but I can’t play because I’m black. They think I stink. Well I tell you, you all stink to me” (pg. ). Crooks’ attitude towards this is shown when he saw Lennie playing with his puppy outside of Crooks’ quarters. Crooks states that “if me, as a black man, is not allowed in the white quarters, then white men are not allowed in mine” (pg. ). However this is merely a front as the more open side of Crooks is shown later on in the book.
