Curaçao Sea Aquarium

This letter confirms my enthusiasm to obtain an intern position with the Curaçao Sea Aquarium team. Upon reviewing your mission, I believe that my qualities closely match the needs for this position. My passion resides in the ocean and marine life in which I would love to share with and educate others.

As a volunteer in the Marine Mammal Department at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium I now have experience from my duties in the following areas: diet preparation, maintaining exhibits, providing enrichment and mental stimulation to the resident animals, keeping behavioral records, and educating

visitors about the animals and environmental conservation. I also had the privilege to shadow the trainers and learn principles such as positive reinforcement, classical conditioning and shaping techniques used to train the animals.

Further qualifications I offer include the following:

I am certified as a PADI Open Water Diver since June 8, 2014. (Diver No. 14060M1852)

I am aware that you are interested in interns for duration of 5-6 months, but if selected as a potential candidate for a position, I will be able to commit to a three-month internship. I can assure you that I will make the best use of my time at your facility. I am available from late May to late August. (After May 20,2016 – Before August 18, 2016).
