Lieberman, the author discusses research with neuroscience relating to how strongly humans yearn to connect with one another. In his lecture, primatologist Robert Sapolsky explains the uniqueness of humans as well as our similarities to other primates. In McCarthy’s novel The Road, one of the main issues deals with cannibalism and the moral/ethic issues of survival.
