What is a culture? Culture is anything consisting of a group and system. For example, culture consists of art, literature, humans, history, religion, and so on. There are many various cultures placed worldwide here on Earth. Not every culture is the same. Some cultures today still hunt and gather food like their ancestors before them. Some cultures today are more industrial and focus on progress through the world. Culture has shaped individual groups into what they are and become in the world. What is a split labor market? A split labor market is the division of workers which include gender and ethnicity. This creates social inequality. African Americans see Latinos as competitors for jobs. Men also know women want to get promoted. This helps keep workers in line. The split labor market is a way that owners are able to divide workers so they can’t take action and demand for better working conditions or higher wages. In order to increase production, companies hire people who are unemployed. When the economy goes down, they fire unneeded workers. Rivalry is even for races who are on fine lines. For example, in Miami there is distrust between Haitians and African Americans who see each other as competitors. In chapter 12, it states that every group is organized into a family. A family is defined as people who consider themselves related by blood, marriage, or even adoption. The Western part of the world defines family consisting of a wife, husband, and children. However, this does not always define family. In the Banaro of New Guinea, a young lady must give birth before she can marry, afterwards she is not able to marry the father of her child. Some describe the family unit as parents who are responsible for the discipline of their children and their material needs. However, in the Trobriand Islanders, the wife’s eldest brother is responsible for providing the children’s food and discipline. The most predictable social channels consist of age, education, social class, and ethnicity. Sociologists refer to the term homogamy to refer to the tendency people who have similar characteristics are likely to marry one another. This is a way of saying that humans tend to “fall in love” with and marry others who live near us or meet in a social
How does one define what culture is? Culture is defined as the system of shared beliefs, values, customs, behaviors, and artifacts that the members of society use to cope with, their world and with one another - transmitted from generation through learning. This is particularly meaning a pattern of behavior shared by a society or group of people; with many things making up a society’s ‘way of life’ such as language, foods etc. Culture is something that molds people into who they are today. It influences how people handle a variety of situations, process information and how they interact with others. However, there are events when one’s own culture does not play a significant role in the decisions that they make or how they see the world. Despite

What is culture? Culture is the idea of what is wrong or right, the concept of what is acceptable within our society. Culture serves us as a guide, taking us to the "right way" and helping us to make sense of things that surrounds us. There are many different cultures around the world. A lot of them are similar in specific ways and others are just completely different, this difference explains why we think that people from different backgrounds are "weird".
Culture is the unique way to act and think within a people from a certain place. It’s the way the people hold their beliefs, what they hold valuable, how they speak and even how they write. Culture is how people relate and act with one another within a certain space. Culture can vary from place to place such as city, state, country or continent.
"What constitutes culture?" is a controversial question to which many anthropologist must respond. Culture, as defined by Clyde Kluckhohn, is human nature, the way of life of a people. Each culture differs from the rest because it deals with a different people in a different social environment. Each is defined by generations of ancestors who have set the boundaries of social custom.

Dominica’s culture is very unique as it has changed hands between European countries such as Spain, Great Britain, and France, who brought African’s as slaves to work the fields. As a result of this combination of different cultures, Dominica contains characteristics that combine to make what is called Creole. This Creole is the mixing of these cultures in language, music, art, food, architecture, religion, dance, dress, and sports. France has had the most noticeable affect on Dominica, which is seen through the majority of Dominicans practicing Roman Catholicism, the French based patois, and the French place names. The best example of this culture is seen in their Carnival, which involves an out pouring of Calypso as the islanders celebrate their heritage through dress, dance, and food.
Personally, I would define culture as a makeup of different groups that someone can relate to which in the end will form that person’s identity. Being born and raised in Ethiopia I can easily relate to Ethiopian culture, I can say in complete confidence that this is the culture that has had the most impact on my life. It has influenced me to be polite and to fight for what I believe in. It has made me polite, because it is the Ethiopian
Culture is something that does not exist in nature, therefore it is man made. According to Paige, it is shared by a population of people and is passed down from generation to generation. Although it is widely shared, it is invisible to those who are a part of that culture. Milton J. Bennett theorized that there are several different cultures, some of which we do not know exist and some that we are very well aware of. It influences many aspects of life, such as behavior and verbal communication. Culture is complex and holds several dimensions. With that being said this definition is extremely broad and does not even being to cover what culture truly is.
