The Mainland China and Hong Kong can be compared based on so many different and distinct elements. As far as the mainland China culture is concerned, from historical point of view traditionally the cultural norms and values of China is still followed and implied by the Hong Kong largely (Ren et al., 2015). The Hong Kong had a separate and distinct system of local government along with the free press. The culture of Hong Kong is still influenced by the English traditions and norm as well. Therefore, the government of China has considered Hong Kong as Special Administrative Region (SAR). In recent times, Hong Kong has played huge role when it comes to analysing economic development in China (Chan, 2015). The cultural differences can be explained in terms of business relationships between both countries. In Hong Kong, the help of robust legal system can effectively influence the business relationships. This legal system has been developed based on one country two systems have really business relationships to grow between mainland China and Hong Kong (Chan, 2015). The availability of quality legal centres has really influenced the level of business relationships a great deal. The Hong Kong is truly regarded and assumed as the international legal hub in a great way (Smith, 2013). There are cultural differences found in both countries in terms of business relationship. The difference is that Hong Kong did not have the Cultural Revolution and they did not have the communistic system as well. In business relationships, the writing system is also different as Hong Kongers like to write through the help of traditional Chinese characters where as the mainland China is using simplified characters (Wang, 2012). The culture of Hong Kong can be considered as in between the western and China culture. The freedom of speech is really appreciated in Hong Kong business relationships whereas freedom of press is not exercised in a real manner in China. From business point of view different China mainland investors have bought estates in Hong Kong as they have invested heavily in the Hong Kong‘s real estate.
