There are many sports which are very similar. Most of the time, cross country and track and field are two sports that are constantly mistaken for each other. Track and field has more events so it’s more diverse and open to many different types of athletes, as opposed to just long distance runners in cross country. Cross country and track and field are very different sports and it’s much easier to distinguish between the two after the differences between them are known. There are very few similarities between these two sports. The main similarity between cross country and track and field is that both of these sports require some amount of running.
