Cronus was a Titan. Titans were seen as Elder Gods and were “supreme in the universe”(Hamilton 21).They were tall and outrageously strong and muscular. Cronus was the most important Titan, “he ruled over the other Titans”(Hamilton 21). Cronus held that throne of being the ruler of the Titans, until his son, Zeus, dethroned him of that power and took over his father’s place of being the ruler of the Titans. Cronus was also married to his sister Rhea, which he had children with. Gaea was Cronus’s mother. When Gaea would present their children to Uranus, he feared their strength, so he swallowed them whole.
