This is a story of the memories I had with my first pet, a crested gecko named Peach. (Translated form Chinese) When I was six, it was another normal boing summer with nothing to do, until one day one of my dad’s friends gave him a call. He told my dad that there was an event going on in Pet World. (I can’t remember which day it was.) My dad and I were happy to go because we had nothing to do anyway. When the day finally came, we drove to Pet World. Back then, it was one of the coolest places I had ever seen. They had decorated the entire place with ribbons and balloons, lots of posters were put up on the walls. It was until I walked into the shop, that wave of noise hit me, there were people talking and laughing, announcers yelling names through megaphones, parrots squawking, and all the other animals making noise. After recovering, my dad and I started to go around and look at animals form cage to cage, it sort of reminded me …show more content…
I had never seen a crested gecko before, so I was really excited. They told us that we can choose a gecko to have, and opened the cage for us to pick one out. All of them were really cute, and I was having a hard time deciding which one I should get. Just as I was thinking, a gecko leaped out of the cage and landed on my face, to make a long story short, I freaked out. Geckos are part of the lizard family, and they have sharp claws, so having one attached to my face was not fun. Plus, they are cold blooded, and have the texture of a snake. After the manager finally pried the gecko off of my face, we were back to the question of which gecko I wanted. Since the gecko that “hugged” my face was so attached to me, I decided to get that one. After we choose my gecko, we were about to ask him how much the cage cost and stuff like that, but it turned out we get absolutely everything free, even a month’s supply of food for the
I close my eyes and I can still picture everyone there and how proud they were of me. The smile on everyones face was what made this day so memorable. When my mom came and put my dog tags on me she gave me a hug, the warmth of her against me made me feel like I was home again, and I was never gone.
I was raised in a zoo when I was born, I couldn't breathe. They did some tests after putting me in the ICU and put me on an ventilator. I was kept in a box. I made a friend she looked so cute, but I was cuter.. I don't know what she was, we were let out Into this bigger box with 5 other animals.
Going to the Shedd Aquarium was such a fun and interesting experience. Now I can always remember going to the Shedd Aquarium with my sister because of the picture and the snow globe with dolphins in it that I got from the gift shop. We were lucky because we got the last dolphin snow globe the rest of them were sharks. This was a great way for my sister and I to spend time together and I really hope we can do it again
Another common leopard gecko morph is an albino leopard gecko! This morph is most characterized by light colors, stripes (tan, light yellow and orange, light purple, etc.), and a certain paleness of the skin. As a reference, an albino's skin looks like that of a gecko prio to shedding! Don't be mistaken, these geckos look really
There are so many varieties of dog breeds to choose from. All breeds have their own special traits, but there is one in particular that sticks out; the Chinese Crested. The Chinese Crested has caused a greater division of opinion than any other breed. Few are indifferent to it, but it is usually either loved or hated. (Fogle, 1995, p.539) The Crested has often been dismissed as inadequate due to its physical appearance, but over the years has managed to survive and grow in popularity.
It was an exciting day for me and I didn’t even know what was going to happen. My grandpa came to my house and then he told my brother Luke and I that he was going to take us on a fishing trip to Canada with his friend. We were so excited when he told us I told Grandpa, “This will be the best summer vacation ever!” After he told us we went and got gear like fishing poles, rain suites and food. When we got to the house the morning we were leaving, he showed us a picture of the cabin we would be staying in for the week. It took us a while to pack the car we all packed some of the same foods.
The black striped capuchin has a light shade of brown fur, while the fur gets darker towards their limbs, and has a tiny black cap on it’s head. The black capuchin simply all very dark colored and have white colored cheeks and has a crown shaped black cap (Hill, 1960). His name was Aden, and he was about 7 years old. He had messy brown hair and excited blue eyes. As soon as he saw the lonely puppy, he smiled. “Mom! Dad!” he called. “There’s one puppy left!”. The puppy recognized this boy from earlier in the day. He had picked the puppy up and said, “I want to take you home. I’ll be right back.”.
I was watching the world go by. Passing trees filled my vision for as far as I could see. Propping my arm on the window, I leaned my head on top of my hand. My thoughts rushed back to seeing all the animals at the zoo; I especially liked the tigers and polar bears. Our car slowed down to a stop, the sudden movement jolting me out of my daydream. As we waited for the light to turn green, I saw my dad look into the rearview mirror
I went with one of my friends that was older, and we went to the kangaroo exhibit. There was no one around so my friend said that I should pet the baby kangaroo. I was freaked out because it specifically said do not touch the animals. But instead of following directions
I wanted to touch it, well- my hand did, so inevitably, without even checking with the sane part of my brain to check if it was ok, it reached up to stroke the tiger. I thought I was going to die, bearing in mind what type of animal this was (carnivorous, eat most things meaty/fleshy/human-y), I expected two jagged razors sinking into my arm. But to my utter bewilderment, It purred! Yes, I stroked a tiger and it purred, then it tenderly licked my hand.
My great grandparents, my great aunt and uncle, and another great uncle all attended. I work up early that morning to find my easter basket, because my grandma still thought I was a kid and made me a easter basket every year. After looking for my Easter Basket I looked for Max because I had not yet seen him that morning. I found him lying on his worn out dirty dog bed in my grandparents room. It was unusual for Max to be missing out on all the people; he loved being around everyone to steal food and get pet. Max looked tired so I let him sleep and went to join everyone for breakfast. It was a big thing in my family to have big breakfast on the weekends. Everyone got up and watched HGTV and we sang the making the bacon
On Wednesday, October 24th, 2012 I woke up eager to go to school like usual, but this day was different. In school we had character counts week with special dress up days. I used to get super excited about these dress up days, but I don't anymore. Anyways, the dress-up day then, was Pop Star Day. I got all dressed up in my favorite boots, jeans with little jewels on the sides, a pink long sleeve shirt, and the vest my grandmother had gotten me for Christmas. I ate my cereal, and took my dog Maverick outside on the leash. My Dad, at the time, had just stepped outside to start up the car. He asked me to tell my sisters that it was time to go. I went inside and unleashed maverick. He bolted to the kitchen. I shut the door to the house, and we
Getting lost in a mall was something I was keen on doing. On that day I was on a field trip for my _ grade class. We went to McWane Science Center, it was one of the best places I ever been. I remember touching little sting rays and bamboo sharks. It reminded me of my most favorite place I the world, Mississippi Museum of Natural Science.
Ever since I can remember I’ve wanted a dog. Never did I think that dogs would end up being by biggest fear. I was just a little kid around 6 years old when it happened. I was walking home from my friend’s house when I saw a stray dog, it was in the middle of the street blocking my way, I decided to walk past it, while I was walking it started growling at me, I hesitated but still kept trying to walk then suddenly it got up and started barking empathically towards me. I was terrified, my first initial reaction being a 6 year old kid was to scare it away, I was ignorant. I picked up a rock and threw it at the dog thinking it’ll get scared and run away. I was wrong. The dog had enough it made a whimpering noise then started barking even louder
