I was never brilliant with words, in any context of my being, yet I can now see them all so vividly in their unlimited arrangement. Creativity seems an insurmountable idea when every thought enters your mind at once, all strung together and inseparably bound. They become so numerous that their individuality becomes incoherent and their uniqueness shines only to reveal their flaws. As I write this, I feel that for myself they hold no meaning. My flesh not bound and my thoughts uncertain, this time as it now stands feels so delightful within the retrospective of endless foresight. In this moment, death speaks to me in a soft whisper that carries with it a note of bitter loss. He beckons me and at once casts me out, drowning me in a radiance that exists by the means of an unimaginable emptiness with nothing to lull its call but my own, cried in response. I cry for joy. I cry from fear. I cry with hope and despair, and all that I know as I am now. I cry loudly from the knowledge that all I know, no other can. None will, and forever my existence will be refused. I am never to become what I am. Said simply, I am never to be. Of course I realize the irony, dearest friend, in my words and my cries. None of this will reach you, for I realize I am as much a mute as I am a cripple by way of the truth. He begins by looking at the very common views of death that are held by most people in the world, and tells us that he will talk of death as the "unequivocal and permanent end to our existence" and look directly at the nature of death itself (1). The first view that
“Death, the end of life: the time when someone or something dies” (Merriam-Webster, 2014). The definition of death is quite simple, the end of life is inescapable. I chose to write about death and impermanence because it is something we all must inevitably face. People often deal with death in a number of different ways. Although it is something that we must eventually face, it can be hard to come to terms with because the idea can be hard to grasp. Some of us fear it, others are able to accept it, either way we all must eventually face it. In this essay I will look at two different literary works about death and impermanence and compare and contrast the different elements of the point of view, theme, setting, and symbolism. The comparison of these particular works will offer a deeper look into words written by the authors and the feelings that they experiencing at that particular time.
Music and other art forms often go hand in hand. Creativity is not just a one-note deal or rather it is not confined to a singular aspect or form. Oftentimes it is interlaced into many forms, such as, music, writing, artwork, fashion and much more. Like a tree, creativity grows and extends out into infinite directions rooting itself in society. One such artist is Brandon Boyd. During the day he is a contemporary artist and by night he is a singer-songwriter for an internationally recognized rock band, Incubus. Some of their songs include; “Pardon Me” form the album entitled, When Incubus Attacks Vol. 1, and “Drive, “Dig,” and “Oil and Water,” three of my favorites, from the album entitled, Monuments and Melodies and “Sad Sick Little World” from the album entitled, A Crow Left of the Murder. This memoir explores Paul’s definition of death as he passes through the distinct “stages” of his life. In Berry’s Work “Two Questions,” she recounts two questions, “is this good,” and “does this suck?” This dichotomy nearly destroyed her ability to do art because she began to see each piece she created as a judgment on her worth as an artist and a human being. This theme of struggle between oneself and society and the search of approval from the world is reflected throughout the piece in an almost chaotic and free expression.
The American system of education is considered to be one of the most progressive in the world. One of the surveys on attitudes toward teaching around the world found that the United States is unique in its strong emphasis on "good teaching." My experience at State College has helped me to understand better how this system works, and what methods and techniques American teachers use to motivate their students for creative and active learning. However, I can also see that this system doesn’t work perfectly in every classroom. Reading Ernest Boyer’s article “Creativity in the Classroom” helped me with my understanding of the main problem that nowadays exists with the American college education system. According to the author, the problem is that teachers and students don’t see each other as one team doing the same business; therefore, in most classrooms the process of learning becomes a boring procedure instead of being mind-blowing. Moreover, reading this article, I could analyze the reasons of this problem that the author identifies through my own experiences at State College.

One of the biggest issues teachers have is between teaching required content and integrating creativity into the daily sessions. The National Curriculum and state standard often create boundaries towards the teacher’s ability to develop the lesson, as the intention of including creativity sometimes resorts in a teacher centred learning environment. The teacher’s role should be to generate lessons and create activities that encourage students to be more open to their creative side. This is vital as it exposes children with varying learning styles to different ways of learning.
• This quote is significant because of my experiences with people passing away. The careful wording and language you speak leaves a significant mark on one’s heart. Describing the process of death is extremely agonizing even when funerals are formal and well planned out events. The ceremony is filled with tears and pain, words cannot fully describe exactly what it feels like. All we can hope for is for them to have a good afterlife.
There are many people who believe and consider that creativity is affected by culture, the way that ideas, how concepts are introduced, and developed into a reality.
