In the plane of Aeterna lies a multitude of Kingdoms and Empires. In the center of the plane is an immense continent, more than twenty thousand miles in all directions. It is surrounded by an even larger ocean, extending more than twenty thousand miles further. In the center of the continent lies the most powerful and prosperous empires, where mages have a command of magic that borders on the divine. As one gets closer to the edge of the continent, however, the nations are less prosperous, less populated, and less advanced. In the far north lies an isolated kingdom, known as the Bull Kingdom. This kingdom is flanked on its northern and eastern border by nigh-impassable mountain ranges, in the south by a wide gulf, and in the west by …show more content…
“Now come on, we have to get this thing home soon as we can. Wraiths tend to be drawn towards death, and we don’t want to be caught out here when night rolls around.” Artorias allowed Leon only a small moment to savor his accomplishment before getting back to what needed to be done. The two found a large tree branch, fallen from a huge white tree. Leon cleared off the leaves and smaller twigs while Artorias tied the stag’s hooves around it. They lifted it up, and after a few seconds of adjustment, began the trek back home. Leon had a little trouble, as the stag was quite large and he was only a first-tier mage, but Artorias was far more powerful and able to pick up the slack with ease. The two made good time, not stopping even for a moment to rest or to admire the brilliantly colored flowers and leaves seen in this forest. After about several hours of walking, the trees and foliage began to thin out. They approached the clearing where they had built a fort, their home for more than a decade. However, the sun had nearly disappeared in the west, and creatures were beginning to stir in the darkening woods. The hair on the back of Leon’s neck began to rise, and he felt the eyes of awakened beasts and other nocturnal
I prepared myself for the upcoming adventurous day. I set out along a less-traveled path through the woods leading to the shore. I could hear every rustle of the newly fallen leaves covering the ground. The brown ground signaled the changing of seasons and nature's way of preparing for the long winter ahead. Soon these leaves would be covered with a thick layer of snow. The leaves still clinging to the trees above displayed a brilliant array of color, simultaneously showing the differences of each and the beauty of the entire forest.
Brock awoke to the sound of a trumpet. He was ready to get training. Brock put on his long johns, pants, shirt, coat, and hat. Then he slowly walked out of his tent. When he walked out he was greeted by Major General Wayne. He said, “Follow me i'll show you where you will be training.” Brock followed him for a about a mile until they walked into a large field with hundreds of saddled horses, and about 80 other men. Major General Wayne said,
It was getting dark. The sun that once shone so brightly above was now retreating back into its house beneath the sky. We left the roads and ventured into the woods. While Elizabeth and I were setting up our tents, Adam left to gather sticks for a campfire. When he returned, curiosity filled his face as he showed us a leaf. But, it wasn’t just any leaf, it was a glowing one.
I am writing this letter to tell you that I am no longer a burden to the people of the world. I have found the perfect compromise that would suit us all. Eight years ago, I killed my father after hearing the voices of my dead mother, who died when I was only ten. These voices would constantly keep telling me to punish my father, hurt him, just like he hurt her. I remember the feeling of being conflicted about whether or not I should listen, in the beginning. I mean he was my father, the only family I had left. l used to argue with myself everyday. My father was an alcoholic and abusive but no one believed me. He would beat me every day. Yet no one cared. Instead of listening to me, they called me insane and so here I am, desperate for my freedom. For so long I have had to endure living in the Penetanguishene Mental Health Centre and I have had enough.
From 1815 to 1914 the European direct colonial dominion expanded from about 35 per cent of the earths’ surface to about 85 per cent of it. Every continent was affected, none more so than Africa and Asia (Said in Hall and Gieben 1992:329). During the age of exploration and conquest, Western countries discovered a growing internal cohesion developed by the conflicts and contrasts with the external world. In reinforcing one another, they forged a new sense of identity, the West (Hall and Gieben 1992:289).
...is sword and sat on the fur mat. Barvir walked over to the edge of the camp and looked into the sky. It was a few hours before dawn, but there would be no sunlight to welcome it. As long as the Mountain stood there, these lands would not see the light. Dark times where upon Barvir and the people of Falkreath. The beast that spawns from the shadow of the mountain has yet to reveal itself. Any mention of the monster’s name was forbidden and feared, for it may come down upon the land the instant the name was spoken. He whispered, “Teratorn.”
In the bright early morning, the sun shone in on the white marble pillars and the stone floor was bleached white with light. In the throne room all the gods had left to do their duties to the mortals. Zeus and Poseidon though remained sitting on golden thrones high up above the ground.
It seemed as if no one had seen it for years. It looked frail and weak near the top, but the roots look like a perfect place for sitting. The branches were twisted and winded all around. Overcome by anger and sadness, Arlo ran to the tree and sat on it’s roots. He sat, sorrowing at it’s roots and bawling into the ground.
The Scape I awoke to the blue sky and the sun gleaming at me like its saying to get up. I get up with a headache and with torn shirt and torn pants and driftwood around the sea. I feel the grains of sand on my wrinkled toes from the water. I don’t remember anything and I’m on an island with a big spot with tropical fauna and a big mountain that is as big as the Ural mountain range and what seems to be a little island near it with sharks swimming, waiting for its next victim. I’m vulnerable and useless on this island
Built at the edge of an enormous island, the Kingdom of Veritas was a pure display of wonder and glory matched by the backdrop of clear blue skies and a sun that always shined brightly during the day without ever letting a single cloud conceal it. Even when it rained or snowed in the winter, the snowflakes melted in one's mouth and the rain felt cool and soothing. Lovely buildings both high and low decorated the inside of the city along with several markets selling all kinds of foods, clothes, and jewelry. Stones were what most of the buildings in this city were made of. Wood was not used when building homes for fear of an accidental fire starting and consuming the city in a matter of minutes.
He swam in a dark, bottomless pit for what felt like a thousand years. The void around him was filled with pale illusions, with the remains of memories, of places and things unknown to him. This strange visions crept into his unthinking mind and tormented him. He couldn't think or perceive anything. Anything beyond the illusions and the pain, that is.
“That doesn’t mean we can’t try,” Rachel knew that her voice sounded whiny, but she didn’t care. “I mean, if you’ve lived through on break up you’ve lived through them all. As for the dying thing, you’ve survived this long, haven’t you?”
Birds, cows, horses, boars and other creatures were running wild in the forest. He tried to tame a boar by petting it’s tusks. The boar charged at him instead, but Kiden saw it as affection. Bruised and bloody, Kiden returned to the shack. On his way there, he looked up at the stars.
I wandered leisurely along the shadowy paths, enjoying the peaceful surroundings. With only the songs of birds for company, I felt completely isolated from the crowds and traffic as I walked over the deep carpet of leaves. It had begun to rain a litt le when I first started my journey. However, small patches of sunshine soon began to filter through the giant oaks, promising that the rest of may day would be pleasant.
The humid, tense air filled the courtroom. I didn't know weither i was sweating from sweat or the heat. I saw many people getting ready for the upcoming trial, some socialization and some reading over notes. As more and more people walked in, the room's atmosphere kept getting stale. I started to feel sick to my stomache from the nerves of talking in front of so many people.
