Just across the park is a Cemetery. Every night when the park closes, the Cemetery would mysteriously open its gates whenever the clock hits nine. At that time, a storm of clouds cast a dark shadow on the Cemetery. A dimly lit shade of red coming from the moon would also cast itself onto the clouds and area as a whole. When the clock hits ten, screams of the dead can be heard coming from each individual grave stone. The ground will also begin to heat it, as the pavement’s boiling grounds are reminiscent of the fiery pits of hell. Suddenly as the clock hits eleven, blood oozes from the ground along with bones and skin decayed from time. Then the cloud begins to squeeze hot, boiling blood out creating and endless precipitation of bloody that …show more content…
Every day at three, kids would come by after school to play in the park. Kids would play on the swings, climb trees, or even run across the field for the fun of it. The sun always shines on the park giving off rays of light that shine on all reflective objects in the area. Not only that, but every time someone steps into the sunlight, the rays of the Sun would also engulf the body in nothing but warmth. Insects, birds, and squirrels would fill the air with sounds that complement the overall environment. Gusts of wind will blow creating a cool breeze that filters throughout the park. The feeling of child innocence and the beauty of nature is what makes this Park stand out among the others. Thus, our trip to the Park has reached its …show more content…
It’s been ten years since the end of civilization occurred. What was a living, breathing planet filled being small and large has become a desolate shell of its former self, with barely any living creature inhabiting the grim wasteland. The once enriching blue sky has turned into a gray collage of clouds blocking all light from entering the planet. One bustling cities have turn into desolate wasteland decaying every step in time. Forest and wildlife have been burned to crisp with barely any trees or bushes to show there was a forest here to begin with. With that, what was the Earth is no more than a fossil from a different
The funeral was supposed to be a family affair. She had not wanted to invite so many people, most of them strangers to her, to be there at the moment she said goodbye. Yet, she was not the only person who had a right to his last moments above the earth, it seemed. Everyone, from the family who knew nothing of the anguish he had suffered in his last years, to the colleagues who saw him every day but hadn’t actually seen him, to the long-lost friends and passing acquaintances who were surprised to find that he was married, let alone dead, wanted to have a last chance to gaze upon him in his open coffin and say goodbye.
The last time I went to the park, the air was refreshing and fresh. Several children were making use of the toys and equipment that was available to them at the park. One child was swinging while two others spun around on an old merry-go-round. There were only a few people present at the park that day. When we arrived at the park on Cinco de Mayo, it was the opposite of what I expected or I’ve experienced about parks in the past. For starters, the park was packed with people. I’ve never seen a park so busy. During this said day, the park was a place for the Hispanic people use to escape the constraints of the world. Compared to the time I went to a park; the air was filled with smoke from both the grill and the cigarette people were smoking. The air wasn’t fresh nor refreshing because of all the pollution due to the people that occupied the park. There were a lot of kids running around and playing with the things that was at the park. Compared to the time I went to the park where there were about 3 kids at the park, there were more than 15 kids playing with each other on Cinco de Mayo.
THE PAST :.. In days gone by, the four species managed to live in perfect harmony. Witches, werewolves and vampires lived in secret, blending in with the humans on a daily basis - and the humans remained completely in the dark about their existence. It was after thousands of years of living this way, whilst everything was completely normal, that a small group of vampires decided that they’d had enough. They spent months devising plans.
I looked up at Gabriel from the grass. I never actually got to inspect the full extent of his features. His dark brown hair was tussled and looked as if he had been running his fingers through it from stress. His green eyes resembled emeralds. He had a bit of muscle on him, but he wasn’t too broad shouldered. You could see a small rose tattoo on his upper bicep. He wore a dark green t-shirt and jeans. He was definitely handsome, and all his features complimented each other.
The first half of my book “The Cellar” written by Natasha Preston, was so good that I could not put the book down. The girl, at that point, had no memories which include her name and anything before she woke up on a dirty, bloody cabin floor. She looked down at her throbbing hand and found that two of her fingernails were missing.
Brock awoke to the sound of a trumpet. He was ready to get training. Brock put on his long johns, pants, shirt, coat, and hat. Then he slowly walked out of his tent. When he walked out he was greeted by Major General Wayne. He said, “Follow me i'll show you where you will be training.” Brock followed him for a about a mile until they walked into a large field with hundreds of saddled horses, and about 80 other men. Major General Wayne said,
The Creature That Opened My Eyes Sympathy, anger, hate, and empathy, these are just a few of the emotions that came over me while getting to know and trying to understand the creature created by victor frankenstein in Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. For the first time I became completely enthralled in a novel and learned to appreciate literature not only for the great stories they tell but also for the affect it could have on someones life as cliché as that might sound, if that weren’t enough it also gave me a greater appreciation and understanding of the idiom “never judge a book by its cover.” As a pimply faced, insecure, loner, and at most times self absorbed sophomore in high school I was never one to put anytime or focus when it came time
I have received your letter, are the children healthy and well? How are you lately? Have you been sick recently? I am fine, well, as right as one is capable of being over in this land. I have thought of you every second of every day, there is not one moment I have forgotten about you. I just wish to be back home again. Last time you said that Henry was feeling slightly ill, I have some medicine stashed away in the bottom cupboard near the grand clock. If he shall start to feel very poorly, you may go there and find him medicine. You will know which one it is once you see it, I do not want Henry to turn out like poor Will did.
There once was a man named Franswah, and he had a wife named Keisha. They both lived in Keithville, Atlanta. They had a little girl named Jasmine, she was twelve years of age and she attended Ghettoville Jr. High School in the seventh grade. Keisha never did like doing anything, so her husband Franswah decided to go out and have an affair with a lady named Shay. Franswah and Shay worked at a law firm together. Shay was his assistant, she always helped him with things and they always went to lunch together. So some nights he never came home or either he came in late. Keisha was never the type of person to just argue, she mainly just questioned him to see what the response would be and she left it alone until the next morning. So one night when he came in he had a funny odor and Keisha asked him what was up with the smell, he told her that he had been working out and got sweaty. Their daughter Jasmine had very high blood pressure, so most of the time she didn’t go to school because of her condition and she stayed ill. Keisha had a younger sister named Ashley, she is the rowdy type that doesn’t care and will tell anybody anything. Keisha was telling her sister about Franswah coming in late, having a odor on him and don’t want to be questioned. So one day when Ashley was over there and he walked in she confronted him and told him if she find out that’s its that he’s cheating on her she was gone handle it. So he got mad and started hollering at Keisha for telling her sister about what was going on in their relationship. Then that’s when Ashley came back and told him that she can tell her anything she want to tell her because that’s her sister. So few minutes later the phone rings and its was Shay. Keisha answers the phone and it was another lady’s voice, and she asked to speak to Franswah. So she asked her who is calling and she told her that it was Franswah’s baby mother. Everyone is in shock, so Ashley gets on the phone and started getting rowdy. Ashley was asking her different questions like how old is the baby, where she live, and where did Franswah and her meet.
The earth was destroyed after humans warred against themselves, destroying the ecosystem and the moon. Now the whole planet is reduced to a sandy wasteland with giant cracked continents and large ravines of what used to be an ocean.
It was a dark, cold, cloudy day. The clouds covered the sky like a big black sheet, nothing to be seen except darkness that seemed to go on forever. This was the third day in a row that there had been complete darkness, there was no getting rid of it. This was because of ‘the meteorite.’
Although most of the schools in this neighborhood have their own school yard where students can play during recess, there are also parks around the neighborhood where students can take walks, explore and discover. In this neighborhood, there is a big park called Sunset Park. This park consists of two avenues and three streets, in other words, it is a really big park. I grew up in this neighborhood, so I used to always come here to play. There is a swimming pool, basketball courts with six nets, handball courts, soccer field with net, a big play area for children, swing area, bike paths and an extremely wide area full of grass where children can run freely.
Ellie was running through the woods as fast as she could, her heart pounding with each step. The red glow from the fire and sound of gunshots fading behind her. Ellie was only 14,with her hair a rusty red color, which was thrown back in a pony tail. Her eyes were a bright green. She has been surviving the zombie apocalypse for 3 years now with her father, Joel, until now. Their home has been raided by bandits. Their supplies stolen, their house burned to a crisp, and her father had sacrificed his own life to save her from the bandits. As she ran through the thick, wet brush, her breath heavy and short, all Ellie could feel was fear. Fear and confusion of how she will survive in this dreadful world alone...
Growing up in a massive neighborhood magnificent. My neighborhood flooded with kids around my age to hang out with. Occupying the edge of this neighborhood was a large park where the neighborhood’s kids and I would spend most of our time eliminating their boredom. When this park would not satisfy our needs, there were
The park had playground equipment, a large mowed field for activities that required substantial space and a couple of picnic tables. The nature center in the park was disappointing; it would be more suitably described as a neglected area of the park allowed to grow wild with a well-defined mowed edge. The playground equipment was in good shape and the grass had recently been clipped. There were no lights in the park and the park was very clean. There was a path that led through the playground and wove through streets, the back of houses, and at times along a small trench of water.
