“I guess you’re right…” Logan muttered, finally permitting himself to succumb to the sweet, warm embrace of sleep. Remy smiled when he felt Logan’s breathing even out and saw his head hang. “There we go.” He whispered to himself, releasing his hold on the logical side and turning his chair around. He hooked an arm under his legs, the other held onto his back, and he carefully lifted him from his seat. Sleep carried the snoozing side over to his bed, pulled back the covers and gently placed him on said bed. He tugged the soft blankets over Logan’s body, and tucked him in all snuggly and tight. Remy observed Logan for a minute, smiling softly at the look on his face. Logan always looked so peaceful when he was asleep, it was a wonder why he didn’t
Writing can be a very difficult process for those who do not know how to go about constructing
I am sitting in my bed, thinking about my process of writing as I am trying to go through it. It seems the more I think about it, the less I understand it. When I am writing, I don’t think. Which I know, sounds bad. But, I spend every single moment of every single day over thinking, over analyzing, and over assuming every aspect of my life. When I’m writing, I’m free from that for just a little bit. Until of course, my hands stop typing or the pencil (no pens- never pens) stops moving, then I’m right back on the carousel that is my brain. Heidi Estrem says, “...writers use writing to generate knowledge that they didn’t have before.” (Writing is a Knowledge-Making Activity 18). I believe my ability to write without an exact destination
" I can't get any sleep," I complained." The T.V.'s are distracting me from getting any," I continued complaining. "I wish I could just go back home so I can get some sleep in my comfy bed," I mumbled sleepily. The rest of the the time on the bus was terrible trying to get sleep. I was getting so distracted with the movie and I got so into it, that soon my neck and back hurt from trying to see the T.V.Until finally we got to school.
Journal bearing is a type of bearing that supports the load by providing a plain surface which uses a lubricant to reduce the friction between the rotating and the stationary part. These types of bearings are also known as fluid film bearings because of the presence of a film of lubricant between shaft and bearing.
I have always been a pretty good writer. Throughout my educational career, especially in high school, I have written a lot of papers. This has provided an immense amount of practice, and has adapted my writing process through the years. The central idea to my writing process has always been to just sit down, get out a pen and paper or computer, and let it flow. Usually this works, but when it doesn’t, especially for papers that are about more complex ideas, I have to adapt my writing process to make sure that I have put everything I have in my brain onto the paper. That goes along with the mindset about writing that I have. That is, I believe that I should write every single paper like it’s going to be my masterpiece. Sometimes, there are strategies
Paul is just an average teenage boy in high school; however, he is very stressed for an ample amount of reasons. He does not have a mother figure, school is very stressful; therefore, he gets in trouble and thrown out of school. A giant issue in Paul’s life could very well be sleep
Every essay begins with a blank stare into space, an exasperated sigh, and the inevitable thought: what am I going write about? Or at least that is how they used to begin, and this process may have continued for hours, or even days, with each time I sat down determined to write nothing would make it on the paper. This became a major roadblock in my writing process, because every essay took an unreasonable amount of time thinking about how to approach this topic, typing sentences out and the deleting them. Finally, an idea would come and I would begin to write, the words would finally spill out onto the paper. The terrible experience writing forced me to figure out a new way to brainstorm my essay weeks before the essay was assigned.
I have always considered writing to be a work in progress, and it constantly can be improved. I have always been devoted to writing. I loved to write stories as a child because I could use my creativity and create any type of character I desired. But I have struggled with writing as well. English has never been my forte. I have received A’s, B’s, C’s, and D’s on essays. I truly never found my voice in writing. In my high school, English teachers would give me mixed reviews on my writing. For example, in 9th grade my English teacher said I was organized with my thoughts, and my writing process was excellent. While in 10th,11th grade ,12th grade my teachers only said negative things about my essays. Not being a strong writer made me despise writing. Then I started to believe that writing is not important. I came to conclusion that writing is not important ,because I am going to be a Math major. I had the mindset that I am not a writer, and will never be a writer. But, my thoughts about writing changed when I started taking English at CSUN.
Studying unit one has done a lot for me, specifically knowing who I am and how I fit in not only in business but the world in general. Throughout this unit there were several eye opening assessments including what I felt to be the most important, “Self-Awareness”, “Emotional Intelligence” and “Defining Issues”. During each assessment I could see my opinions changing and was given a different perspective by answering questions, they truly made me acknowledge opportunities I had in life.
Habits of the Creative Minds is a simple textbook with a particular twist. I began reading the book thinking it was going to be a basic textbook, but the author,Richard E. Miller and Ann Jurecic, changed the tone of the book and put it into a metaphor. This metaphor was about the reader in your writing, or for anyone reading should feel like Alice in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. The reader should be reading, and figuratively fall into the reading, by this the authors means the reader should not want to put that book down. They should be engulfed in the book and read from cover to cover. The attention must be maintained and the best way to do this is by making the writing unique. The authors of this book puts
The writing process is a long and detailed process, there are five stages of writing and each stage is Made up of it’s own components. All of these components and stages work together and when done right they all come together to form a well written piece, weather it is an essay or a research paper the writing process is used for all types of writing.
The value of journal writing to a course with adult students cannot be overemphasized. (Sommer 1989, p. 115)
Taking a creative writing class was a good way for me to express my thoughts and feelings onto paper, as well as read my other classmates stories. Reading stories created by other people lead me into their mind brain to experience what type of writer they were, it was an overall exquisite class. I believe that every person has a way of expressing who they are through writing stories of their own, fiction is the best way to express your creative imagination. This class that I took for two years helped me become a better writer and helped me understand the types of writers we have.
According to Dictionary.com's 21st Century Lexicon, creative writing is “the exercise of creating imaginative drama, fiction, or poetry, esp. as a course of study.” This means that in the whole area of creative writing there many different types. As shown in "What is Creative Writing? - Definition, Types & Examples" by Bryanna Licciardi, “types of creative writings include poetry, plays, movie/television scripts, fiction (novels, novellas, and short stories), songs, speeches, memoirs, [and] personal essays” (Licciardi). In each of these types of writings, there has to be a central focal point. There has to be some sort of reason for why the writing was written. That reason would be called the theme.
The end goal, a journal, that holds such a meaning that even the thought of writing it is frightening. After the two long years of running the race, the end is finally in sight. Every assignment is a beginning to become more meaningful.
