My eyes darted to my right as the beings frantically scoured the sterilized table filled with hundreds of surgical tools. One of the beings located a tome and passed it to one of the surgeons. Meanwhile, another prepared a cauterizer. “I wonder what this one was doing under the earth.” The head surgeon stated who, stood at eight feet, with a dark blue scaly complexion, as he floated over toward me looking down observantly. One of the nurses came and lifted my shirt and rubbed an iodine solution on my abdomen and lower pelvic region. A towel, laid beneath me. “Maybe she is some sort of spy?” A surgical assistant replied. “Are you kidding me? In a slip? She probably was fleeing from sort of arranged marriage. “I can’t.” I cried. Out of nowhere, the dragon returned, dove down and wrapped his claws around the fabric of Ava’s dress. “Ava!” I cried. Logan and Francis shot at it, but her gun jammed and he missed it as it disappeared from our sight. I peered down at Takara, and placed a flower in her place. Francis lowered his head. “We have to go on Francis.” Logan placed her hand on his elevated shoulder. “My sister was taken and you want me to forget? She’s all I have left” He shoved her hand from him. “I know it’s hard but she would have wanted the best for you.” Logan prompted. “This is all your fault!” He turned to me. “First my mother and now my sister! What makes you so freaking special!” He pushed me down. “Francis, please I’m sorry!” I pleaded. “That doesn’t matter, I’ve lost everything because of you! Now what am I going to do with my pathetic life! I don’t even know the first thing about the world around me. I’m one stop short of being a freed slave!” He gritted his teeth as he fought tears.
