So, let us conclude my rant and provide you with a solution. Crazy idea, get rid of money, once the money is out of the picture what do we have left, our lives. Without money or a form of a payment there would be no fear of tomorrow. Yes, I know what you are thinking, but how will I have all the things that the world has to offer. STOP! Get rid of all the materialistic wants and needs none of it will fit in your casket and if it does, well, what a waste. Why don’t we create a society that will harness nurture its best without limitations, promote errors and cherish success and stop enforcing pointless rules and regulations? Once the money is gone, fear will disappear, once fear disappears the “A” will not matter anymore and what will matter
is being a better version of oneself, coincidently this is how leaders are made. The only thing left is to cooperatively influence individuals to become better version of themselves and push forward the barriers we have created ourselves. Influence is something that is free or it should be. So why do young adults have to pay so dearly for something that should be free. Picture a situation, when a teacher is given the ability to influence students best way possible without relying on some sort of a guideline of what needs to be said or done in a classroom. Suddenly we removed the fear of a teacher not reaching his/her 10 year now they become relevant. What could be more rewarding than allowing a teacher to teach the subject without limitations, create conflict, mold and harness the passion that we all have as little children throughout our lives. Influence itself is not a hard concept it allows for errors and trials by lowering the bar, it changes minds by challenging assumptions and perhaps most importantly it challenges the system by formalizing action. Challenging the system is what we are lacking and this papers is about that if we cannot challenge the system we will never influence new leaders and good old cog of mediocracy will continue to thrive.
The dense streets of our country make strolling outside on a beautiful and perfect day or evening exhausting. The streets, roads, and sewers are perfusing with grimy looking, foul smelling, still breathing and talking corpses. Panhandling for food, water, clothes, and better shelter all while fighting each other to get near you to ask. You look forward and ignore them, being disgusted by the sight of such a lower person than yourself. There are only three types of people: the ones who are on the bottom, Corpses, the ones who are at the top, Wealthy, and the ones who collect the Corpses, Donors.
The Story begins on a beach with three young children playing. Violet, 14, inventor; Klaus, 12, amateur researcher; and Sunny, baby, professional biter who has not totally developed speech. When they arrive to the beach it is a cloudy foggy overcast day. Violet is spending her time here skipping rocks, Klaus is studying tide pools and Sunny is just enjoying her time being at the beach with her older siblings. Even though it is not the greatest day in the world, the children are enjoying their time spent here at their favorite place. No other people are here on beach and this gives the children a place to be alone with their imagination. While playing a gentleman is approaching, but with the fog it scares the children because they cannot see who walks beneath the fog. As the figure gets closer they start to figure out who it is. The strange figure that lurked in the fog is Mr. Poe a friend of the family. Mr. Poe comes over to the children playing and explains to the children that their parents have perished in a fire that destroyed their home. Mr. Poe explains to the children that they will have to live with his family temporarily until he can figure out a plan as to where they will go.
Friday Evening Alaric occupies a familiar stool at the Grill; a sulky, raven-haired vampire beside him, filling him in on recent developments. “So apparently this Elijah asshole is one of the originals, and Klaus is the original, original.” “So, old then. And apparently hard to deal with.” “Right. Too hard,” Damon gestures with his drink, nearly sloshing amber liquid onto the bar top. “And Katherine says Klaus needs Elena because she’s from the ‘Petrova’ line?” “Because she’s The Petrova Döpleganger. Whatever the hell that means.” “Ok, there’s something I don’t get here though. Rose, I kind of understand giving her the benefit of the doubt. She’s done nothing to indicate duplicity here. But Katherine? Why should we believe anything she says?” “It jives with what Rose knows, and explains why she was so keen on getting to Elena in the first place.
“ you can't go looking for him Elena we told you about this Klaus thinks you're dead and we'd like to keep it that way ” Tyler said as we were all at the Salvatore house trying to get everything ready for the party tonight.
...ion in vain that her oblivious guardians (she wouldn’t exactly call them guardians, but what else is there to call them?) won’t know of her disappearance during the Opening House barbeque event to anywhere but the Mehta mansion.
Take deep breaths, I told myself. Don't get upset. Try not to think about what has happened. Don't start getting angry. My focus had been intently on a puzzle I was doing since that morning, day fifteen of Light's confinement. L stared at the TV screen. Aizawa read the newspaper. And Matsuda ran in reminding us of why we were all distressed.
I look up, the sunlight peaking through the far-flung branches of the sparse old trees. The air is crisp and clean, the scent of spring floating on a soft breeze. A chill dances across the skin of my bare arms, sharpening the excitement evoked by the relative solitude. My bare feet step onto the cold, damp soil exposed by the worn path made by the frequent tread of small children.
As I saunter onto the school field, I survey the premises to behold people in coats, shielding themselves from winter's blues. The sun isn't out yet, but the place bursting with life and exuberance, with people gliding across the ice covered floor almost cat-like. The field is effervescent and despite the dire conditions, the field seems to have taken on a life of its own. The weather is bad and the ice seems to burn the skin if touched, yet the mood is still euphoric. The bare shrubs and plants about the place look like they've been whipped by Winter himself. The air is frosty and at every breath the sight of steam seems to be present. A cold, cruel northerly wind blows across the playground and creates unrest amongst some. Crack! The crisp sound of leaves is heard, as if of ice splitting and hissing. Squirrels are seen trying to find a point of safety, scurrying about the bare trees that lie around the playground. Mystery and enigma clouds the playing field, providing a sense of anticipation about the place. Who is going to be the person to spoil the moment? To kill the conversation?
“Pretty please, Chris? We just need to find out where she is?” said Karen. She didn’t like to beg, but she wanted to put her mother’s mind at rest too, and that took priority.
The change in our society from having rich, middle, and poor economic statuses has caused our society to crumble. The increase of low waged workers has increased tremendously. The decline in wages cause parents to work 2-3 jobs just to make the bills, which in turn has caused parents and children’s relationships to fail, which also in turn cause the children to have behavioral issues, which in turn cause violence rates to increase. Every time you turn on the television, all you observe and hear about is violence in our world. Our society is crumbling out of control due to the low wage jobs and inequality of wages among workers and if not addressed and improved our future will not survive.
Spitz was now gone after Buck attacked him. I heard the cries and whimpers, the snarls and the growls of the whole fight. It was horrific. I wasn’t able to sleep anyways.I had pains sometimes and while it was uncomfortable, it was bearable and I didn’t want anyone to think I wasn’t well enough to run,no one would take my spot!
As the sun slowly settled, darkness began to overcome the Earth. Sickness—had come. The sickness slowly but readily crept into each home. It was the Midnight Theft. The destructive plague stole during midnight—it stole lives. Deep in the heart of Tukenasville, people were dying, and the whole country was beginning to perish. The flowers withered as they bloomed. The mountain peaks crumbled under steer weight. Animals fled to holes to live out the final moments of their life. People were distraught, and chaos was invading every planet in the macrocosm. People called me Nikolaou Gonfalon. I was the last of the Warriors of Phos. Long ago, the Sisters of Moiré ordained my doomed fate. I tried to bargain with them to change it, but in the end, I captured them and locked them up in a repository on a cliff. I was to lead the expedition to find the cure for the Midnight Theft. That, however, was not the reason why I would go on this journey. My best friend, Tolem, was dying of a rare illness called Takigifeay. It was causing the slow built up of lactic acid on his bones. I knew that death would come to him soon. Legend spoke about a necklace that can bring life to anyone or thing. It was said to have been belonged to an Oceanian, one of the water people. The Lost Jade Necklace of Serenity was what it was called, and it could bring healing to the Earth. Nonetheless, it could be the obliteration of mankind, also. I began to pack since my journey was to start at that moment.
Happiness is arguably the most sought after goal of the human condition, and time and money are possibly two of the most valuable resources any individual possesses. The article “Time, money and happiness: How does putting a price on time affect out ability to smell the roses?” by Sanford E. DeVoe and Julian House (2012), sets out to answer the question; what is the connection between time, money, and happiness? The hypothesis that DeVoe and House (2012) proposed was that there is a frustration caused when the goal of maximizing the economic value of time is obstructed and that this frustration can lessen other benefits of experiences, especially pleasure. This hypothesis requires that the individual think about time in relation to its monetary value and therefore whether or not time can be better spent doing something that brings in money. The researchers tested their hypothesis through a few experiments.
Money and Happiness are two things that we have all given a lot thought. We put lots of effort into these two things either trying to earn them or trying to increase them. The connection we make between money and happiness is strange because they are two very different concepts. Money is tangible, you can quantify it, and know exactly how much of it you have at any given time. Happiness, on the other hand, is subjective, elusive, has different meanings for different people and despite the efforts of behavioral scientist and psychologist alike, there is no definitive way to measure happiness. In other word, counting happiness is much more difficult than counting dollar bills. How can we possibly make this connection? Well, money, specifically in large quantity, allows for the freedom to do and have anything you want. And in simplest term, happiness can be thought of as life satisfaction and enjoyment. So wouldn’t it make sense that the ability to do everything you desire, result in greater satisfaction with your life.
Saving money brings security for any future expenses. The earlier in life an individual begins to save, the better they will be set financially in the years to come. There are several reasons why it is important to save money. A few of these reasons are for emergencies, retirement, and simply for luxury spending. Having money will benefit each of these examples.
