Located in the popular Yosemite National Park, Yosemite Falls is the tallest waterfall in California. Every year, mother nature’s breathtaking beauty attracts millions of people from around the world. People hike for three long and fatiguing hours in anticipation of witnessing forceful water rushing down the steep mountain from 2,425 feet above. Last summer, my family and I backpacked through the Yosemite Falls Trail and I came to learn what a truly exhausting experience it is.
The Creature That Opened My Eyes Sympathy, anger, hate, and empathy, these are just a few of the emotions that came over me while getting to know and trying to understand the creature created by victor frankenstein in Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. For the first time I became completely enthralled in a novel and learned to appreciate literature not only for the great stories they tell but also for the affect it could have on someones life as cliché as that might sound, if that weren’t enough it also gave me a greater appreciation and understanding of the idiom “never judge a book by its cover.” As a pimply faced, insecure, loner, and at most times self absorbed sophomore in high school I was never one to put anytime or focus when it came time
In mid-1980s in Texas, electrician Ron Woodroof is shocked to learn that he has AIDS. Though told that he has just 30 days left to live, Woodroof refuses to give in to despair. First Things First, grab the saw his antibiotics are wearing off. “We have to saw off your right leg, Mr. Daws I’m very sorry for your loss.” He replied, “It’s a whole lot better than dying that's for sure I’ll just have to adjust.” This was the usual part of the job so it really didn’t affect me at the time, but it surely would come back to haunt me in the end.

As soon as the door closed, and Jace was finally at last gone, Clary immediately sprang to her feet and locked the door. Tears had all ready formed at the corner of her eyes, before she ran towards the pretty canopy bed, and fell down upon its soft, gentle surface and sobbed as if her heart would break. Inside, she was completely devastated. She began to wonder just what exactly had minute, she'd been at home, relaxing in the bright, warm golden sun, working on a brand new painting, and the next, she was off riding into the deep, dark woods with Wayfarer following her father's very trail, and they'd stumbled upon the mysterious dark castle, and the final moment she was trading her life for her father's in order to save him.
Clint had gone to school the same way every time so he thought he would go a different way. He followed a main road and then took a new side passage that he had wondered about before. Through this side passage he came across an abandoned street, he started to walk down when he noticed that his shadow wasn't making the same movements he was. Clint rubbed his eyes and then his shadow was mimicking him again. He then decided that he would go the normal way to school like usual. Once he arrived at school he talked to his friend Zac about the abandoned street and if he had ever been there. Zac replied with " No I would never go down such a dangerous looking street, you're basically asking to get mugged" "Do you want to go down that street on the

From there the situation quickly slips off the rails. As the egg drippings hit the floor, the young woman begins to randomly smash dishes, light fixtures, and wall clocks. Each act of destruction equates to heroin's effects on a person’s personal life: loss of family, friends, and finances. It’s not until the dust settles, and the fast pace ...
As the sun slowly settled, darkness began to overcome the Earth. Sickness—had come. The sickness slowly but readily crept into each home. It was the Midnight Theft. The destructive plague stole during midnight—it stole lives. Deep in the heart of Tukenasville, people were dying, and the whole country was beginning to perish. The flowers withered as they bloomed. The mountain peaks crumbled under steer weight. Animals fled to holes to live out the final moments of their life. People were distraught, and chaos was invading every planet in the macrocosm. People called me Nikolaou Gonfalon. I was the last of the Warriors of Phos. Long ago, the Sisters of Moiré ordained my doomed fate. I tried to bargain with them to change it, but in the end, I captured them and locked them up in a repository on a cliff. I was to lead the expedition to find the cure for the Midnight Theft. That, however, was not the reason why I would go on this journey. My best friend, Tolem, was dying of a rare illness called Takigifeay. It was causing the slow built up of lactic acid on his bones. I knew that death would come to him soon. Legend spoke about a necklace that can bring life to anyone or thing. It was said to have been belonged to an Oceanian, one of the water people. The Lost Jade Necklace of Serenity was what it was called, and it could bring healing to the Earth. Nonetheless, it could be the obliteration of mankind, also. I began to pack since my journey was to start at that moment.
Autumn pulls out the books of her crumbling locker, afraid of it all collapsing on her. Her locker was on the top and this was great considering her height. Her brunette hair falls to her face as she bends down to pick up her fallen pencil case. She places it on her books and begins to close her locker. She swivels around on her semi-high heels and walks away to her dreaded English class. As she passes the musty classrooms her eyes glaze over her reflection. Most people would see a light hazel-eyed girl looking back with bouncy curls defining her perfect face. Bu all she sees is a slightly crooked nose only noticeable with a protractor and one forming pimple which could be only spotted with a microscope. The flaws, in herself but the rest of the world sees her beauty, both in and out. Except for a group made with the most sinister monsters alive.
“That’s so…. Exciting Kait, good for you,” Jennifer says in an unimpressed and uninterested tone. We’d been best friends since before high school, but now that we’ve gone our separate ways in the wake of college, I’ve seen how unsupportive she really is. I had just finished telling her about the tickets I’d bought to Melanie Nguyen’s show, which is much later tonight. Fancy recitals had never been Jennifer’s “thing”—as she often so eloquently put it—and so I nearly always had to go alone, no matter who was playing or singing. I put my hand over the microphone in my cell and let out a quiet little sigh of disappointment,
One of the most unique creatures are fish. As I am sitting here in my room, my fish are swimming about with not a care in the world. I wonder what it would feel like to be a fish.
