"Dead Moon Rising" Ellie was running through the woods as fast as she could, her heart pounding with each step. The red glow from the fire and sound of gunshots fading behind her. Ellie was only 14,with her hair a rusty red color, which was thrown back in a pony tail. Her eyes were a bright green. She has been surviving the zombie apocalypse for 3 years now with her father, Joel, until now. Their home has been raided by bandits. Their supplies stolen, their house burned to a crisp, and her father had sacrificed his own life to save her from the bandits. As she ran through the thick, wet brush, her breath heavy and short, all Ellie could feel was fear. Fear and confusion of how she will survive in this dreadful world alone... “You don’t happen to have a first aid kit or anything, do ya? I think my arm is getting worse.” she said as she grabbed her arm. “Thank God Arvo is dead, That stupid kid… I’d like to put a bullet in him” she said as she gritted her teeth. “No I don’t, but we’ll find something we can use.” Ellie said. They walked for what felt like hours until they were both completely exhausted. They found an abandoned two story house, where they could be safe for the night. Clem pulled out her gun and slowly opened the door. It was dark, but it seemed empty. “See anything?” Ellie said quietly. Clem’s eyes tried to adjust to the darkness. “Not really, but stay on your …show more content…
Clementine looked up. “Looks like a storm is kickin’ in. Good thing we found this place.” Ellie put her hands out in front of the fire. “Yeah, but we can’t stay here forever.” She said in a disappointed tone. Clem sighed quietly. Ellie then pulled something from beside her. “I found this while i was gathering material to burn.” It was a first aid kit. Clementine smiled, “Good, now i can fix this.” She said happily as she grabbed her own arm, which was starting to swell up. “Thanks, Ellie,” She said as she reached for the kit. Ellie opened it. “Here, i’ll take care of you.” “You don’t have to do that,’’ clem said. “Of course i do. You’re my little sister, remember?” Clem started to giggle as she pulled up her sleeve to show Ellie her the bullet wound. “Yeah, Just like old times...” About an hour had passed and the two girls were trying to get some sleep, but neither of them could. Clementine’s arm still stung with pain, and Ellie was too cold and upset to even think about sleep. But after what felt like forever, they both finally managed to doze
I looked up at Gabriel from the grass. I never actually got to inspect the full extent of his features. His dark brown hair was tussled and looked as if he had been running his fingers through it from stress. His green eyes resembled emeralds. He had a bit of muscle on him, but he wasn’t too broad shouldered. You could see a small rose tattoo on his upper bicep. He wore a dark green t-shirt and jeans. He was definitely handsome, and all his features complimented each other.
Suddenly, the door swings open and all of the sounds from the nearby emergency room flood into the room. John has returned from his lunch break. He brings a patient to the gym to work on the bars. Hunched in her wheelchair, staring at the ground, her gray hair a mess, she shakes slightly. I think, "Can’t the PTs feel the coldness in this room? Maybe their white lab coats keep them warm."
Cold and wet, tired and exhausted she made her way along the path through the forest. Zero, that's what they called her, she had been called that for so long, her real name wasn't even in her memories. Zero had finally escaped her hostile home and away from her sisters who tortured her in every way possible. The dark sky put the seventeen year old at ease, she had always loved the dark, the bright stars reminded her of the diamonds her mother wore when she was still alive. The moon was shining down on the trees and flowers that grew along the path, everything was calming, the sounds of crickets, the occasional owl, and the leaves crunching under her combat boots. Her peace was ended when the sounds of running, yelling, and gunshots were heard near by. Zero’s pace picked up to a sprint as the noises got closer to the girl. The ground approached Zero quickly as she was tackled to the ground. A small-ish feminine hand covered the girl's mouth and the owner of the hand held a cold object against her throat. “If you scream, Ill kill you. Got it?”
Marley followed her up some creaky stairs to a bedroom; Indie knocked on the door then opened it. Marley gasped audibly as an old woman stared at her from the corner of the room. The old woman was missing her right eye and her face was severely burnt, blood was dripping down her face onto her already stained
We’ve let out more sweat than we ever have before. Off in the distance we see trees, and where there's trees there's water. Every step felt like we lost a part of our body. When we finally make it to the trees we saw three trailers and a small, covered porch. We approach it not knowing what or who could be in there. We find stale oatmeal, cans of beans, beer and jerky so old it's turned white. We may be able to stay alive for two weeks with this. Everything out here is horrible, I don’t know how anything could live like this but it’s not normal, no animal or human being should have to live in this kind of heat.
she always used to wish for a way to escape her life. She saw memories
Finally, we talked about how scary and dangerous it is for a young girl to walk through the woods to go to her grandmother’s house. Also, she has the thought of her mom telling her to be careful in the woods because it could be dangerous.
It was a dark, cold, cloudy day. The clouds covered the sky like a big black sheet, nothing to be seen except darkness that seemed to go on forever. This was the third day in a row that there had been complete darkness, there was no getting rid of it. This was because of ‘the meteorite.’
Leo opened his eyes and sat straight up in bed. Ella stood over him, a horrified look on her face. “What? What do I have on my face?” he said, rubbing his face. Sadie started to laugh. “What is she doing in here?” She covered her mouth with her hands. “Shh! Don’t yell! We were attacked and the raiders are searching the cabins for anyone they can challenge. We’re hiding,” Ella said, holding a finger to her lips. “And we don’t want to wake Artie and frighten him,” the Doctor whispered. Leo jumped. He had forgotten the Doctor was in here. “And the TARDIS is not an option, they already took it. She isn’t going to be happy when they open her up,” he was saying. “Who isn’t going to be happy? River or the TARDIS?” Sadie asked. “Probably both,” the Doctor said. “Well I’m going to slip into the bathroom and change,” Leo said, trying to avoid thinking after he had just woken up.
Walking into the church nursery that Sunday, I didn’t expect anything to be out of the ordinary; I just had to make sure there were no kids left and clean up the toys laying on the floor before locking it up for the week. Looking around, I noticed that there were no toys out of place, which I thought was unusual. The kids almost always leave a mess. I started to leave, but then I heard a noise, so I turned around, expecting one of the kids to jump out, shouting, “BOO!” But instead of a child, I saw a small Jack in the box, one that had been broken for a long time. No matter how much you wound it, the Jack wouldn’t pop up. It didn’t even play music anymore. How had I not seen that before?
"They found you unconscious with the necklace thingy, and they placed it on me. I feel much better now."
After extracting the screaming infant from the wreckage, the paramedics delicately situate the boy on the stretcher and wheel him into the ambulance. The child, a victim of a traumatic motor vehicle collision, barely holds onto his life, having lost a limb with severe blood loss and head trauma. When the ambulance screeches to a halt outside the emergency room doors, nurses sprint outside and bring the agonized boy inside. Before they can even settle him in a room, doctors have already inputted his symptoms into a database and received his estimated chance of survival and which treatment to administer.
Just across the park is a Cemetery. Every night when the park closes, the Cemetery would mysteriously open its gates whenever the clock hits nine. At that time, a storm of clouds cast a dark shadow on the Cemetery. A dimly lit shade of red coming from the moon would also cast itself onto the clouds and area as a whole. When the clock hits ten, screams of the dead can be heard coming from each individual grave stone. The ground will also begin to heat it, as the pavement’s boiling grounds are reminiscent of the fiery pits of hell. Suddenly as the clock hits eleven, blood oozes from the ground along with bones and skin decayed from time. Then the cloud begins to squeeze hot, boiling blood out creating and endless precipitation of bloody that
The teachers come, a large man begins CPR while the girl remains benevolent, in a matronly position, kneeling and cradling Al’s head in the cushion of her palms. Through it all she does not look up, even when spurts of blood from Al’s mouth reach her face and eyes, that blood built up within his orifice gurgling and geysering with each push of the teacher’s fists into his lungs. She does not turn from her grisly heroic task, though her arms shake from restraining and then supporting Al’s head, as she calmly reassures others that it will be all right. After seeing Al safely away with the EMTs, she takes only a few moments to collect herself, then, claiming no credit...
