Harry Styles was never a normal kid, and he knew that, but he never knew he would end up in the front of an asylum because of it. “It’s just for a little while,” his parents said, but Harry knew better that to believe that. You see, Harry’s parents were always so busy when he was growing up, and Harry had no friend. As a result, he created his own imaginary friends. There was Marcel, who was nerdy, and Edward, the punk rebel. However, these imaginary friends later became part of his character, and became his personalities. That’s how he was diagnosed with Multiple Personality Disorder at fourteen. For this reason, his parents abandoned him even more, and refused to love him for who he was, that’s why Harry was scared to enter the asylum. He …show more content…
He had bothered Luke all day by asking questions, and acting like a different person, and Luke was slowly losing his patience with him. Each time Luke did anything, Edward would always make a comment. Luke had just met him that day, and he didn’t know what he was suffering from, but he found the curly- haired boy extremely annoying. “So blondie, what’s your name?” Edward smirked. Luke rolled his eyes at him, but replied, “It’s Luke,” Edward nodded his head in content. Luke didn’t know what made Harry so annoying, or why it seemed his mood would constantly change, but he planned on finding out. When Harry entered the bathroom to shower, Luke quickly looked for Harry’s files. Cheering in success when he found them, he opened it, scanning all the pages with his blue eyes. Everything clicked in his head, Harry had MPD, which explained a lot. Continuing to read through Harry’s files, Luke started frowning. It seemed Harry also had depression caused by loneliness. Harry didn’t believe anyone would ever want to be friends with him, and if they did, he didn’t think they would stay once they learned he was different. Luke pouted, Harry just needed a buddy, he …show more content…
He experience all the sides of Harry, and he didn’t understand why people didn’t like him. All of Harry’s sides were sweet, even Edward. The more days that went by, the closer Harry and Luke got closer. They started doing everything together. They would play games in the rec room, eat all meals together, and share secrets. The closer they got, the more Luke started developing feeling feelings for Harry. Luke was scared these feeling would scare Harry away, however the more they were around each other, which was a lot, the harder he found his feelings were to hide. It was almost two A.M. on a Tuesday, and Luke lay awake in his bed thinking. He was going to finally tell Harry about his feelings. “Hey, Harry?” Luke whispered. “Who’s Harry? I'm Marcel,” came a nasally voice. Ah, so Harry was now in his Marcel personality, well this would have to do, Luke
Harry has a very introverted personality. He appears to be somewhat high strung and needs to be kept busy. He was introduced very briefly to the rest of the office and immediately began his duties as a carrier. This bri...
Later on he went to learn the truth about this parents and the background of the scar. When he enters the wizard world, everybody notices his scar. He becomes insecure about his scar and tries to hide it, along with his famous identity. Harry Potter's lightning shaped scar separates him from all of the magicians in the wizard world, it symbolizes power and authority. He is the chosen one out of all the wizards. This made his an immediate target for most of the other skeptical characters in the literary work. Also in order for Harry to do what he was intended to he had to learn and understand his importance in the wizard world, long with the narrative. Blemishes like scars on a character, can create a divergence that the character has to come to an understanding
It was quite evident throughout the story that Harry did in fact respect his wife Helen; however, his many flashbacks of other women undoubtedly demonstrated that he was not in love with his wife. After all, loving someone and being ‘in love’ with them are two entirely different sets of emotions. Harry was a skilled writer, and unluckily was dying due to an infected leg. During his last hours on earth, I could undeniably sense the disdain that he had towards his wife and her wealth. What was ironic was that he lived a comfortable life and probably never complained then, but the minute he realized that he was dying, he instantaneously held her accountable for the fact that he never wrote any more works. I could not understand why on earth he would blame her for this, other than the fact that he probably did not write much because he never found the urgency to. They were already wealthy, thanks to Helen. His wife, on the other hand, did love him even if the love was not shared. She remained optimistic throughout the entire ordeal, and she treated him exceedingly well during his final hours on earth. Harry had an abundant amount of past relationships, and possibly some mistresses as well. This excerpt represented to me that he was a very passionate person, and that with his past loves he quarreled with them because he cared, and did
Harry, named at birth as Erich Weisz, had an unsettled childhood. He was born to a father who was a Jewish Rabbi and was one of seven children. At the age of four, he moved with his family to the United States of America, where he the family changed its surname to Weiss. At first, they lived in Appleton, Wisconsin, but then moved to New York City when he was at the age of 13. He took on a lot of odd, magic-related jobs while calling himself “Ehrich, the Prince of the Air”. He began to get interested in trapeze arts and performed in many small places like museums and side-shows.
After comparing the articles researched, with Erikson’s Industry VS Inferiority (6-12) and (Identity vs. Identity confusion (13-19) we see that Harry potter was mentally, physically and emotionally delayed due to abuse he was subjected to as a child. The ramifications of his abuse from the Dursleys and the murder of his parents caused delay in reaching Identity vs. Identity. He had problems with understanding himself and his place in life. He kept being referred to “as the boy that lived” instead of just Harry not allowing him to move past his parents death. His obsession had almost gotten Harry killed many times. Harry was vulnerable to stress, and difficulties with his emotions. After he killed Voldemort, he was some what released from his recurring trauma. He was then finally allowed to cope with the death of his parents and start the path on finding himself.
Alice looks down and said, “Oh yeah. If that’s what makes YOU happy,” and muttered under her breath, “You don’t even know…”
Luke is the youngest of his 2 other siblings and is living his life as a third child, this meaning he is illegal as overpopulation is affecting the earth big time in this book. Luke lives a boring life staying in his room moping around the house with all the shades down. He doesn’t go to school,
Just to quickly run through the two previous books; Harry Potter is a wizard, who’s parents were killed by the worst dark wizard ever known. The reason why Harry Potter is still around, is because Lord Voldemort failed to kill Harry. His spell hit Harry, but then backfired on Voldemort taking all of his powers with him. Harry is so famous for two things. Withstanding the powers of Lord Voldemort, and, taking him back in to the underworld in hiding. In the first book, Harry receives a letter from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He’s eventually allowed to go, and spends the next six months there learning magic, getting into trouble, and trying to solve mysteries of his past, and the school. In the second book, Harry goes back to his second year at Hogwarts, and gets into more trouble, figures out many astonishing mysteries and learns loads more magic. His best friends in the two books consist of Ron and Hermione (two of his fellow wizard students) and Hagrid the gamekeeper who was expelled from Hogwarts but allowed a job as the gamekeeper.
Harry Lockhart has a great desire to fit in with people that want absolutely nothing to do with him. In one scene in the movie, Harry walks up to a group of people standing at a party and proceeds to light a cigarette, the group walks away with the look of disgust on their faces. Through the entire movie he attempts to make a lot of sarcastic comments, to make people think he is a suave, witty guy. Harry is a kind of loser that could be well liked if he did not try as hard for people's friendship and respect. Harry got into a fight with "Gay" Perry
Luke is a very happy, responsible, and active person. After few months of adjustment, he begins to feel more comfortable and engaging in DWT community effectively.
Fenstad says that he likes to teach because “he liked teaching strangers and because he enjoyed the sense of hope that classrooms held for him” (page 117). Harry seems to be a very distant person in that he likes to be around people who do not really know him. He would much rather be an observer than a very active participant. When he goes ice skating in the beginning of the story, there are a lot of people who are skating, but he can blend right in. He hs a few friends, but they are very similar to Fenstad. They like the same things and have the same attitudes about life. Fenstad does not want to seem to deviate from his own normal way of life.
After the death of his parents Harry becomes an orphaned baby and Dumbledore’s first concern, as Harry’s protector, is to ensure the safety of Harry. Dumbledore decides to leave Harry with his only living relatives, the Dursleys, because he believes “it’s the best place for [Harry]” (15). This decision by Dumbledore proves that he is taking steps to keep Harry safe from danger as well as safe from his fame and future; as he explains to Professor McGonagall “how much better off [Harry] will be, growing up away from all that until he’s ready to take it” (16). To ensure that Harry has an opportunity to prepare for his future Dumbledore leaves a letter for the Dursleys, so that “Harry’s aunt and uncle will be able to explain everything to [Harry] when he is older” (15), about his parents, himself, and the wizarding world. Dumbledore is unaware that the Dursleys despise the wizarding world and when Harry is older they do not tell him about his family or what he is. Despite Dumbledore’s efforts to prepare Harry for his future in the wizarding world by entrusting Harry to the care of his Aunt and Uncle, Harry is unable to prepare himself for the idea of being a wizard, let alone a famous wizard. Even though Harry was not aware of the fact that he is a famous wizard Dumbledore’s actions helped Harry prepare as a normal boy before he became a wizard; which was essential to
Princess Lea is an independent woman who is not afraid to get her hands dirty. In fact, as a ruthless Darth Vader’ invades her ship in the beginning of the film, she calmly transfers a critical message, the plans of the death star, into R2D2 who is jettisoned from the ship in an escape pod. Indeed, such quick thinking represents Lea’s cunning which she will inevitably transfer onto Luke. In fact, Princess Lea’s effect is seen on Luke when he finds out that she is being held prisoner in the death star. Instead of listening to Han’s cries to stay inside the control room, Luke takes initiative by attempting to rescue Lea. Thus, this moment represents a stepping stone for Luke, who shows his first signs of self-dependence by breaking free from the chains of his indecisive nature. Moreover, Lea, to an extent, also represents the romantic anima, as Luke calls her “beautiful” upon first seeing her in the hologram from R2D2. Evidently, this serves as one of the root motivations behind his call to action. Lea’s influence on Luke is further demonstrated when they are forced onto a ledge with storm troopers in pursuit. Luke ingeniously devises a tarzan swing and swings across while under fire from storm troopers. This is reminiscent to Lea improvising in an earlier situation by blasting a hole in a grate in order to escape from storm troopers. Thus, Luke comes one step closer to realizing the
Firstly consider all of the things that Dumbledore put Harry through. The very first being leaving him on the Dursley’s doorstep. “‘I’ve come to bring Harry to his aunt and uncle. They’re the only family he
If Harry’s parents hadn’t died and he hadn’t looked death in the face itself (Voldemort) then he would have just gone to Hogwarts like any other student, and Voldemort would have no reason to go after him or try to ruin his life. Some of the other conflicts he faces, like breaking the rules to solve a bigger problem, have a big effect on him and his story as well. For example, when Harry used his invisibility cloak to sneak out of the Gryffindor tower so he could investigate what Snape was doing; these actions later helped solve a bigger
