“Let’s go for a jog!” I said in excitement.
“Don’t fall behind because I had gym today, so my feet are screaming to run again,” Alex jokes.
“Then let’s go to the trail before it gets dark,” said Lilly.
“On your marks, get set, GO!” Alex screamed before they even got to the trail.
“Funny,” I said, “but now the animals are running as fast as race cars.”
“Oh well,” Alex chuckled.
“Do you want to start here?” I said more than asked.
“Sure,” replied Alex.
“Maybe we can see the animals that didn’t run,” I said hopefully, “like that squir-”
“Lilly, where did you go this time?” Alex asked in confusion, “Oh no…” Before we go on, I guess I should explain a little about Alex and myself before we get back to the story, right? So, I am Lilly Row

You can’t walk on that foot yet! Are you ok?” Alex implied as he rushed over.
“Thanks for helping me, but what happened?” I said as I got situated back in my bed.
“We were jogging in the woods and you twist your ankle in hole, falling, and hitting your head on a rock. I carried you to your bed and called my aunt because she is a doctor, and I had no clue if the injuries were serious.” Alex explained as he put the drink and chips down.
“Thank you, but did you call my parents;” I asked, “how serious were the injuries?”
“I called your parents after my aunt told me about the injuries, and they said that they would leave in the morning because it was the earliest flight available. Your injuries are nothing to worry about; it is only a twisted ankle that you need to rest because if you irritate it it will get worse, and you have a very small concussion. Because of your ankle and head, you need to rest to get better.” Alex rambled on as he sat on my

“Yes, but only if you rest all weekend,” answered Alex.
“Ok, but are you staying or going?” I asked with much question.
“Of course I am staying. I’m not going to leave you here by yourself, anyways, you are a baby deer, clumsy, you will get hurt again.” Alex said with confidence.
“Haha, you're right, and thank you for staying with me.” I replied with gratitude, “Anyways that hole jumped out at me, so it's not my fault.”
“Right, I forgot that holes knew how to jump,” Alex joked.
“I guess you did, and your sarcasm is a gazel gracefully passing by.” I giggled with amusement, “Wait, how long was I out?”
“You have been out for about a day.” Alex said with concern in his playful eyes.
“What?! Why did you stay here all that time? You must be as tired as someone who just ran five miles!” I exclaimed while I turned to face Alex.
“It was worth it as soon as you woke up. I am just happy that you are ok and safe. That is all that matters, and besides that, I had tv and I took a few naps on the couch.” Alex almost said with laughter.
“Ok, but if you are tired then go take another nap, I will be fine on my own.” I said with emotion and
They left by the sunrise and managed to make it far from their houses. All went fine until Jake suddenly screamed… He had fell from a steep and hurt his ankle.
However sarcastic Alex’s thought when she said, “‘Oh my gosh... You really are the perfect man’’’ (Picoult 355) to Patrick, her comment still stands true. Alex found it in her to move on from her old stressful working life to a new life that has a balance between all the aspects, including work, children, partner, and simply enjoying
she said, walking over to her clock. Anyone else in this particular moment, would have thought that Sydney was scolding her clock. But she was in fact scolding her best friend. “The nerve of you!” she laughed, pushing her clock with a dull scrape across the floor.
It was a beautiful autumn afternoon, and the wind was blowing ever so softly, gently rustling the colorful leaves throughout the park. She loved to walk through the park on days like these with her dog, her best friend. He sampled the fresh air into his chest as he proudly pranced along at his owner’s heels. He was beautiful, with a shiny, sleek, short coat of a honey color, and well defined muscles contracting at every pace. They were family, companions, and in sync, enjoying a break from the business of her high paced daily life. As they continued along the wide winding concrete path, another man was approaching walking in the opposite direction. The man saw the dog and shot a
“ No, I would never hurt you,” I assured her as I grabbed her small, precious arm and pulled her away from the dangerous tree roots. Monique with 100% trust in me exclaimed, ” go on flip me.” She was so tranquil, which made me more nervous. I was panicking, my though dried up and I was starting to reconsider flipping her. I had a million thoughts, what if I hurt her, why does she trust me so much? ”Victoria, Victoria!”, Monique screamed. “ Yeah sorry!” I reply with hesitation. I pulled a confident face and started counting down, “ 3, 2, 1”. I grabbed her shaking arm and flipped her over my head into the air. Time stopped at that moment, Monique’s face turned from calmed and collected to scared and surprised in an instance. “Bang” she fell on the muddle, and rough ground. “ARGHHHH”, screamed Monique, from the excruciating pain. “It hurts”, she yelled while laying still on the grey grass
“Yes baby. I just have an owie, but I’ll be fine,” Amanda says in painful tears. “You’ll be okay. Remember the pain to forget it. Remember to forget.
The Creature That Opened My Eyes Sympathy, anger, hate, and empathy, these are just a few of the emotions that came over me while getting to know and trying to understand the creature created by victor frankenstein in Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. For the first time I became completely enthralled in a novel and learned to appreciate literature not only for the great stories they tell but also for the affect it could have on someones life as cliché as that might sound, if that weren’t enough it also gave me a greater appreciation and understanding of the idiom “never judge a book by its cover.” As a pimply faced, insecure, loner, and at most times self absorbed sophomore in high school I was never one to put anytime or focus when it came time
The Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court (CYKAC) by Mark Twain is a novel about a Yankee named Hank Morgan. Twain uses satire through Hank, which can be difficult to understand. Although the satire can be difficult to understand, it makes Hank a more relatable person. Hank has many flaws and it's hard for people to understand Hank due to his flaws. “It is my opinion that Hank's ignorance is exactly what makes him such a timeless character; Twain crafted a hero with contradictory behaviors and beliefs: in short, he created a character who was honestly human.
Previously, her dad had informed Alyssa that they had hunted and killed a female deer. Alyssa shyly wondered, interested, Maybe I could sneak out there, avoid their ‘important grown people’ comments, and catch a peek without them seeing me. . . ? Finally, after a mental prepping she prompted herself outside. The fifth grader sauntered over to get suited up, her head light with anxious
The Bell family was on their way to Yellowstone National park for a camping trip. They reached the park at 7 o'clock a.m . Nixon and Zander weren't tired at all, in fact, Nixon suggested to go to the park and they did. At the park they met some new friends and they loved jumping on the bouncy castle. (At the park). Nixon was having a fun time playing tag with their friends, but Zander wasn't because he wasn’t as athletic as Nixon was. It’s 10:30am and Janice, Alex’s mother, receives a phone call. “Hi Janice, this is Mrs. Smith calling with regards to Alex. Yes, he isn’t having a good day. He has been very disruptive this morning. We tried calling down Alex’s older sister to calm him down, and to talk to him, but he wouldn’t calm down. Would you please come and get him?”

Blood ran across his face and down his sandy chest."He must have hit a rock when the waves crashed him against the shore?"I began to panic, I hurried to find something to cover his wound. I took a portion of his torn pants and wrapped his forehead up in it. He awoke with a scream of pain and looked around frantically trying to figure out what was going on. "Tom are you OK?" "Umm ya!""We were washed ashore and you probably hit your head on a rock.
We set out to the shelter, home of the homeless animals, abandoned by both nature and civilization. The drive was entirely within Conway, and yet to us, possessed with eagerness, it was across the nation. Arrival at our destination brought great joy with the sight of those adorable animals adorned with fur.
