The boeing 777 sped toward the earth at speeds increasing from five hundred miles per hour with a top speed of five hundred and ninty. Jim, the pilot was working the controls, he was an experienced airman who had over seventy-five thousand hours of flight experience, that is about three thousand one hundred and twenty five days of flight, while Josh his co-pilot was just a rookie airman with a third of the hours as Jim. The plane had three hundred and seventy five passengers on board, which were all freaking out because one of the only two engines went out half way to Madagascar. The plane, which is out of radio range, is flying above the middle of the Indian ocean right off the East coast of Africa. They still had one hundred and seventy miles to go. This is the seconed week on the island and they are wondering if they are even sending out anybody to look for them. Little did they know, they United States had the plane crash all over the news, They had many search helicopters; and flights to madagascare were still going out. On that same day they all heard an aircraft flying and they lit up the big SOS and let them know that they were on the island. The rubbler and other green material that they added was smoking like a wild fire on the side of a dry mountain of grass. They all saw the plane, but noticed that it was a passenger airliner and would never see the smoke above the clouds and distance from the island.
On November 28, 2004 at about 10:00 a.m. mountain standard time, a Canadair (now Bombardier) CL-600-2A12 (Challenger 600), tail number N873G, crashed into the ground during takeoff at Montrose Regional Airport (MJT), Montrose, Colorado. The aircraft was registered to Hop-a-Jet, Inc., and operated by Air Castle Corporation doing business as Global Aviation. (Insert Here)The flight was operating under Part 135 Code of Federal Regulations. The captain filed the flight under an IFR Flight plan. Of the six passengers on board, three died from fatal injuries and the other three sustained major injuries. The aircraft was totaled due to the impact with the ground and a post-crash fire.
The IC decided that the first thing that needed to be done was to contain the fire and get it extinguished as soon as possible. Then the IC divided the situation into three primary sections Tower 1, Tower 2 and the Vista Hotel. The bomb had detonated right below the Vista Hotel and thick black smoke was quickly filling the two towers. He then c...

Because they were army personnel working directly for the government, several doctors and scientists were contacted secretly to deal with the issue. Once all the men were contacted, they were set to meet at the "Wildfire Project Installation", which was a top-secret government installation intended to study and correct any alien virus. When the men arrived, they immediately began studying and trying to understand what exactly happened in piedmont and why.
The boys Ralph, Jack, and Simon go off to explore the island and see what it has on it. Upon returning from walking around the island Ralph makes a decision that they need to build a fire. He thinks that the smoke from the fire will catch the attention of other planes flying over the island. They decide to try and start a fire by using dead wood that has been dried out and reflecting the sun out of Peggy’s glasses. They were successful in...
For instance, the multiple calls made to family members as well as 911 from the frantic passengers. Mark Bingham for instance called 911, as well as his mom telling her he loved her and that the plane was being hijacked. Another man called 911 screaming that they were being hijacked and that he heard some sort of explosion and saw white smoke coming from the plane. Then there was Tom Burnett, who called his wife saying the hijackers had already stabbed to death one passenger and that he intended to do something about it. A Jeremy Glick called his relatives saying the same, that he and some other passengers were intending to fight the hijackers. These calls brought up the thought that perhaps some passengers on board had fought the hijackers, keeping them from controlling the plane, and sending it crashing to the ground.

The excitement among people was cut short by the unfortunate delay in flight, because of maintenance on one of its engines. The passengers boarded the plane a couple of hours after the scheduled time. Finally, it was cleared for taxi on runway 26-Right. The pilots lined the aircraft parallel to the runway. A tragic accident, however, was about to happen.
...light arose, my eyes began to squint shut trying to block the sunlight drifting in. I failed and immediately woke up opening my red watery burning eyes. David ran through the rough edged sedimentary grey rocks and through the bright green leaves of the trees with an idea. “To get rescued we should make a large SOS sign with rocks so that the planes flying from above can see it” he said. I thought the idea was incredible, so we all came together placing rock after rock deeply in the wet sparkly sludge like sand. After a long hardworking 12 hours we were finally finished. As we waited anxiously day after day for rescue we finally received it. Fifteen days later a enormous smooth plane landed on the island. As the plane slowly lifted off the almond colored ground making a turbo noise, I felt that we all learned in any situation that we need to stick together to survive.
Hundreds of search parties and search dogs combed the side of the Chimborazo and surrounding area, and theories arose about the fate of the SAETA 232. After 27 years, in February, 2003 a group of hikers discovered the crash and all 59 victims aboard 17,700 feet above the mountains base. The bodies of the plane crash victims were intact and almost perfectly preserved due to the high altitude and year round freezing temperatures. However, each of the bodies, as well as the plane compartments had been stripped of clothing, jewelery, wallets, valuables, and other possessions. It is unknown how long ago the bodies were discovered, or who would be too cruel to alert the authorities that they had found the victims. Furthermore, because of the early date in the crash, and the lack of security measures taken during this early flying age, there is no concrete cause of how the plane crashed into the side of the mountain, or what may have happened during that day in August. While some believe it to be only a mid-route crash, others believe it to be a guerrilla highjacking. Whatever the cause, the crash only brings attention to just how big Chimborazo is, and how many mysteries it still may

Being involved in an airplane accident is a nightmare scenario for any air travelers, crew and pilots alike. Statistically air travel is among the safest means of transport, but at the same time it is also associated with sporadic accidents that have proven to be extremely terrifying ordeals for all those involved due to a vast array of reasons. The causes of these accidents are of varying nature and depend on some problems that are originated during some stage of the flight process.
