Crash Landing - Original Writing
Everything was going okay at first, everyone was talking and getting
to know each other, except me, I just sat in the corner, I don't like
socializing that much with people I don't know, and plus , I was
missing my mum. I peered across the room looking at each of the boys
who were with me and noticed a small rat-like boy walking over. He had
very small thin-like fingers and almost scale like skin, greenish eyes
and a long thin nose. He looked very mischievious, but as we began
talking and getting to know each other he seemed okay. As we were
chatting away something must have hit us and the left wing of the
plane was smashed to pieces, bits of metal were flying everywhere and
everyone was shouting and crying out for their parents; the whole
place was chaotic. The small rat boy and myself scrunched up together
in the corner and hoped that we would be alright. The pilot shouted
back for us all to hold on to the bars thet were around the sides of
the plane, so everyone did, and hoped for the best. As we were
hurtling towards the ground, the pilot ejected his seat and parachuted
into the sea. I thought I was going to die and braced myself just
before we hit the ground. I held on to the small rat boy. When we
finally hit the ground, it was terrible, we hit the floor so hard I
nearly flew out of the plane, banging and bumping everywhere and then
we must have hit something and I was thrown out of the plane, hiting
my head on a branch or something, I was knocked out cold.
Day 2
I woke up with a faint vision, an outline of a small figure, As my
vision got better I noticed, it was Rat!! I slowly sat up and looked
at him faintly, I couldn't believe he made it. He asked me if as I
was okay and I told him I was, but really my head was aching.
I was lying in my bed and I looked over at my closet doors, which had sliding mirrors, and I saw myself. I looked like I had died. My face was pale, my eyes were black, and I was unusually skinny.

The most predominate theme that occurred throughout Crash is that “human aren’t all bad” (Farris 357). The movie effectively depicted the theme by showing every characters’ situation from their perspective. Officer Ryan is a good example. Ryan was originally portrayed as a bad guy for molesting Christine and being racist when he pulled over the Thayer’s car. Ryan wishes to see the suffering of others during this specific scene, because he was suffering and agitated from not being able to get proper medical treatment for his father. In other words, Ryan did not act fully out of malicious intentions, but rather he wants to release his stress and anger upon someone else. Later in the movie, it is shown that Ryan was not a real racist since he

He noticed that there was a little white figure at the top of the TV screen that seemed to be getting closer and closer to him. The closer it got to him, he could actually start to see the color of the hair and it was black. He also noticed that it was a female. He could see her face, body, hands, and eyes.

As the kid went into the candy store, the reaction of his face was priceless. Like all kids in a candy store, his eyes livened up and his mouth drooled. It was kind of amusing to watch, but the grandparents loved every second of it. They knew that as the kid grew older, he would go his separate way and would not be as close to them. They wanted to cherish the moment, enjoy every little detail about the boy, and spend as much time with him before he would “leave the nest.”
I asked him, “Hey, what’d yah find?” Prodding the rubber asphalt that filled the old cracks of the road, he looked at me and seemed amused at his discovery.
