The last “assignment” for the course is an opportunity for you to share feedback with me on your learning throughout the course.
1. Please describe some of the ways you have grown or expanded your thinking as a result of this course.
a. Are there things that you hope to do differently as a result of your studies in this course?
This course has added another lens to my administrative perspective. I hope to be more conscious of the decisions I make for my students in the future. We must examine education through an equity lens. By applying the lens to every decision we make and learning to disintegrate the inequities.

b. Are there ideas/practices/beliefs that you have had challenged by your learning? …show more content…

I have enjoyed reading both the text, links, and watching the videos in each module and I plan to apply my knowledge in the future.

2. Are there topics/issues/concepts that were addressed that you wish we would have had more time to explore? (Explain)
The section on the effects of stress on the child’s brain is quite interesting to me. I would like to have had the opportunity to view more videos and information on this topic.

3. Are there topics/issues/concepts that we did not address that you would like to have explored in the course? (Explain)
One topic I am interested in learning more about is how to reach the African American male population. Working in a low-income school, our biggest issue is reaching this population. I have researched a variety of mentor programs but am interesting in learning more about support programs that reach them at a younger age before the deficit is too large.

4. Please describe your experience using Canvas and the way the course was organized.
